Im just wondering if anyone knew of a sprocket manufactuer who could make a one off rear sprocket that would need to be offset by 10 mm ? . this is because ive aquired a very nice Montesa rear wheel (complete with akront rim) that I want to fit in a BSA C15 frame with a B40 engine, problem being the chain alignment, I would need an offset to move the chain run closer to the tyre. im not sure exactly what model of Montesa the wheel is from but I do still have the original sprocket that came with the wheel, although the ally has delaminated and corroded its still usable for providing sizes etc.

Hi Guy's Now Alan Whitton, is putting together a very special group of Works DOT and Greeves bikes, and riders, for a demonstration ride and photo session, at the Classic Trials Show. The Dot boy's coming along, reads like a part of the sixties trials history, but we could do with a couple more ex Greeves works riders to take part, and "Jonah" was one for a short while. So do you know where he is, he left a message on a trials web site twelve months ago. Regards Charlie.

  6. Hi there Can anyone help please. On TC I have seen a natty little item I can only describe as an in (fuel) line coupler / de-coupler. An item that 'splits' a fuel line with a twist or bayonnet action. At the time I put the link into favourites, but since have had computer troubles and have lost favourites. Thanks in advance. Bath's fun trial tomorrow,(Sat 31st July) has had a change of venue which was at first set right in TMX.Unfortunately it has been inserted again at the old venue. To set things straight,(As much as I can ! ) all I can do is tell you that the venue is Fairy Hill,Compton Dando. BS39 4LJ. The start time is 2.30pm,there are two routes, and the sections will be biased towards older bikes.Should be a good day out,a catering van will be onsite.

My vintage project needs front axle seals. The ones found in it are 24x35x4 mm. Are these the right size for OEM ? Its hard finding anything narrower than 5.

Hi, I have owned a Matchless 350 trials motor since 1965 and ready for the AMOC Towcester national Jampot rally a few years ago got it all together with 21" and 19" rims but in a road frame. I now have a desire to make it reasonably competitve in the clubmans sections. The question is what do I need to do please? I have alloy rims in stock, new tyres [they were in 2001!] and a rear frame section from an AMC lightweight plus a fiberglass tank. Your collective advice please. Thanks. Richard in Bedfordshire.

Hi Guy's I have been told this morning that entries to the Open classes at the Classic Trials Show, August 21/22, are to close in seven days. So if you want a ride on Saturday, or Sunday, or both, so you can enjoy the evenings entertainment, You Need To Send Your Entries off NOW. If you have a bike lurking in the shed get it out, dust it over and bring it along, you can ride it or put it into one of the show classes. it's YOUR decision. PS Don't forget that there is a

Does anyone have any contacts for some 1974ish Montesa Cota parts ? I'll probably need some clutch plates and would like to buy some engine gaskets rather than have to make them. I may be needing a fibreglass or replica seat/tank as well depending on how my attempt to repair it goes.

Hi, Decided to replace the leaking fork seals on my Trials cub TR20 which has heavyweight forks with internal. Everything was stripped down but when it came to trying to get the seals out of the fork seal holders I was stumped. Can anyone tell me how they actually come apart to replace the seal as they do not seem to pull or screw apart. Regards Ken
