Anybody Done the 2 Day Arbecey Classic Trial. Heres a small write up i found,it seems like the real deal. 2 DAYS OF Arbecey: International Classic Trial. 21 & 22 Août 2010. Organised by the Club TRAIL 70 Classic, the third trial of Arbecey was an unexpected success. Indeed, nearly 150 pilots from eight European nations, participated in this event, now in its 3rd edition, more than double that in the 2009 edition. For the occasion, the organizers offered a program consisting of, with, on Saturday, a journey of 15 km and 12 non-stop areas, and on Sunday, a journey of 34 km and 20 non-stop areas, formula one more accustomed to meet in the current trials. Are…

I have a few issues with my bike...any help with any of them welcome. What engine oil to use ? I'm guessing anything 20/50w ? GTX although I see GTX is now 10/40w When I went to drain the primary chaincase it had nothing in it....I have had to remove the casing (see next question) and it has electronic ignition...Is this the reason it has no oil...can the chain and clutch be used like this ? Having watched the newly replaced gearbox oil trickle out of the final drive sprocket bearing it seems this is knackered along with the seal. I've managed to reach the bearing via the clutch side, but how do you pull the bearing out....Or do I have to remove the gearbox and push…

I've always hated the term Pre65 and welcome the idea of "British Twinshocks" so if you do too what eligability critera would you have? I'll start you off with my ideas. Engine : Obviously must be based on crankcases, barrels and heads as produced by the British Motor Cycle Industry prior to 1970. Copies allowed but must comform at least in exterior appearience to the original item. Internals: free. Ignition system: free. Carburettor: free but no fuel injection. Clutch must be cable operated. Gearbox free. Frame : Must obviously be twin shock and made from steel. Shock position free but shocks minimum 340mm max 360mm. Wheelbase without rider to be minimum 50". Ground c…

General thought is that the Dellorto 22mm is best but surely the 20mm version would be better suited, for the standard 199cc engine, but apparently this is unavailable now. I have searched around and Mikuni do a VM22 set up for the cub amd a VM20. I am tempted to try the 20mm version but there are no base settings for this, has anyone tried the Mikuni on a cub?

So the message on the SSDT Pre65 webpages is that the trial will not be going over Blackwater in 2011 due to environmental considerations. That's a real shame. Nor will the route go over Callart Pass. Back to two way traffic on the Mamore Road. At least it's better than the ride back on the tarmac road although the 'new' sections on the roadside were good especially for spectators. Complaints have also been received from competitors about the severity of these two parts of the route. What does anyone think? To me cross country work like this is one of the best things about the event. Anyone know where the route will go instead of over Blackwater? Two way traffic on t…

Hi. I'm new to Trials Central & usually ride enduros on my FE 400 Berg but..... I've got a nice little Triumph 3TA which is running a 21" front wheel with a trials tyre. However the last owner did nothing to the forks. This means when I ride over speed humps or go trail riding the front mudguard fouls on the frame down tube. It's hitting hard enough that the mudguard then rubs on the front tyre and has been dented. I know that I could put a spacer inside the forks to increase pre-load, and maybe I can use thicker fork oil, but I don't think this will be enough. So I need help. Is there anywhere to get longer after-market stantions, or is there another Triumph that…

Has anyone had any experience with one of these badboys, got one today and fitted to the Bantam(don't laugh) didn't notice much difference.I tried it in all 3 positions no difference. My friend fitted one to his James and noticed a vast improvement, making the clutch lighter. What is the lightest position of the 3 holes?Thought it was a good idea but may have to mod. the clutch arm instead and reposition the cable . cheers the noo Brian

Afternoon all. Don't suppose anyone here has entered? If so, have you received your entry for the trial? I'm guessing mine must be caught in the post as I've not heard anything at all! Hope to see you there in 2 weeks! I'll be on a nice and shiny (to start with anyway!) Royal Enfield. All the best, Pete.

Howdo guys. I am trying to identify the make of a trials frame I have bought off Ebay some time ago. I bought it as a "Cotton Trials" but after searching thro loads of images of Cottons I cannot find anything that matches it. The frame is brazed at the joints, the engine cradle takes a 9e/32a Villiers and looks original apart from the footrests and back brake pedal. Also can you tell me what type forks these are Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanks Trevor http://s1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa385/Fortythreedegrees/?action=view¤t=DSC00009.jpg#!oZZ1QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Faa385%2FFortythreedegrees%2F%3Faction%3D…
