Hi Guys I have pics of various bikes seen at this great trial.....one small problem though!!! How on earth do you add pictures to the page???? there doesnt seem to be any info in the help section and am a bit stuck. Can anyone shed some light???? Regards Charlie

Here are the details for the Stratford-Upon-Avon round of the Sammy Miller Classic Bike Championship on 20th May. Please note: Trail bikes are most welcome on a no award basis and there is an easy (sidecar) route for riders of any machine who just want a days riding in the Cotsowlds. The trial starts at Blackwell Village Hall near Shipston on Stour and covers 37 miles and 30 sections with a lunch break at the half way point. Have just re-built the carb on my 240 with all fresh bits and am trying to get it set up right. I know what worked before but it was all pretty worn then, any advice on the best practice for setting it?? Thanks .

Hi again, I've uploaded some more footage, this time of the Old Codgers Trial 2005 once again held at Hungry Hill near Aldershot. I've had tp split into three parts as You Tube will only allow 10 minute maximum file lengths. It's a lot more comprehensive than the Talmag stuff. Once again, enjoy the sight and sound of some lovely old classics in action... well the sight at least as the audio seems to have somehow escaped.. grr... after getting savaged by a rottweiler on Sunday, some of my humour about riding trials had left me, but after putting this clip together in the office today it renewed my faith This is why I ended up swimming in the stream on section 4 yesterday, laughing. A few people in the office heard Dale's commentary, came over for a look and also were rather interested, more in the falling off than the sport, but could see what fun it is. Ah well, feel better now.

Just out of interest which were the best genuine pre65 bikes in there day? i wasn't born in 1965 (just after!) so from what i can gather jugding by the results of todays MODERN pre65 events here goes 1, cub 2, matchless gl3 , 3, ariel ht5 4, greeves tfs 5, james / FB 32a engine! can anyone remember that far back?

Just thought I would add our OSSA to this thread, 6 month ago My Son Scott and myself started to restore an OSSA TR 350, we finished it just this week. Hi, Can anyone help me with the frame of my recently bought Bultaco Sherpa 350 199a made in 1979, The rear is different to my 250 which is one piece right round, this one is two separate sides. Please have a look at the photos and let me know if it is supposed to be like this. Thanks for the help. Worthing Trials Club in conjuntion with the Beamish Owners Club are holding twinshock trial on Good Friday, you can find details in the events canendar. As President of the Beamish Owners Club you would have thought I would be there on my Beamish but unfortuenately the crank seals have gone and it's not worth rebuilding the engine without replacing the big end. I have a con rod kit but there is no-one local to Brighton who can fit it for me before Easter and sending it away will just teke too long! Bugger! So, althought it is almost Beamish yellow, my GasGas will have to do this year - bit I shall be ready next time to compete for one of my own trophies!!! Come along …

We are trying to judge if there are any other interested parties on here as its approaching 40 quid and fellow TC user Pitley wants it to wear on his Majesty. He will probably need a blonde wig as well, as like me time has not been kind to him where hair is concerned. (As a coot) He will be gutted if it goes for silly money.

Hi folks, am looking to build a project bantam trials from an old D7 I have, but I am a beginner and dont really know where to start. Can anyone help with the following. Forks: What can I do to the originals to make them viable. Dont really want to get too far from original. Wheels: I am pretty sure I want to run a 21" at the front, will I have to get one built. Exhaust: are there any out there to buy, will another make fit or is it a build it job. Engine: any tricks on the engine. Hope someone can help or point me in the direction of someone who can. Having ridden in many Miller rounds over the last few years on a trail bike, I find these events to be excellent value for money. I enjoy single lap trials on the road and being on a trail bike the distance is not an issue. But what is the ideal length for a classic trial on the road if you are riding a classic bike? Our club has a Miller round every year and it would be easy for us to use groups around a 60 mile course, equally we could do it over say 10 or 15 mile course if we had to.

You may have seen at the Malvern show a really fantastic Mick Andrews replica James frame on Alan Whitton's stand. I have been thinking of building a really trick James, possibly inspired by the one in the Classic Dirt Bike mag and thought that this frame would be the right place to start. Having spoken to Alan it appears that ther are currently only 2 of these in existance at the moment, Mick's own one and the one that Alan is building for himself. They are made from 17guage T45 and there have been a few mods including slight adjustments for the steering geometry as required my Mick. All in all this has to be one of the best James frames around with superbly finish…

Anyone reading this going at the weekend and if so have you been notified start times etc? I sent entry off weeks ago and herd nothing, have phoned Vic Ashford and left messages on a/mc but no reply. Am travelling down in the morning staying in Devon for a couple of days ptrior to trial so would like to know.

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Madrid we have the classic bike show. A good friend has been preparing a Spanish Pre-65 bike for the last year as a Top Secret. Nobody new what he was working on. Today I took 2 of my Bultacos to the show for sale, and there was my friend preparing his bike in a stand covered with a canvas. I beg him hundred times to show me the bike before tomorrow, and at last he said yes. What I saw there was the most beautifull trials bike I have ever seen, thousands of hours of work and so much love to trials into it. And he says it works perfectly
