does anyone know of a cheap place to get a piston kit for a rev 3 250 year 200 there 60 quid just for the rings its seamead to lost its umph and though rings and piston would bring it back to life is there a pattern piston that will fit ? cheers fellow trialers

I'm in the middle of doing a top end job on my 200 rev3 and noticed that my magnetic pickup tool is attracted to the inside of the cylinder. I did a search and found that some of the 200s had a steel liner, so I'm betting that's what's on mine as well. My questions are: Am I correct or does whatever they are coating the cylinders with have ferrous properties? (it's not really obvious just looking if it's a liner or not) I also read that there is an overbore piston available, does anyone know what size it is? Thanks a bunch Joe

i have a 99 beta 250 it has a b7es in is this correct?

When draining my oil I found a thin washer/ shim attached to the magnetic part of the drain plug. There have been no unpleasant sounds or performance issues. The oil looked normal and without metal shavings. The inside of the oil filter looks OK. The washer was folded with some linear rub/ wear marks but not horribly chewed up. At the last oil change I did have the oil pump removed. The parts diagram shows a thrust washer in that location so it is suspect that it did not go back together correctly. However, it is the wrong size for that location. The parts list shows that one as 8.2 x 15 x .05. but the one I found is 12 x 17 x 0.35. Does anyone know what this ma…

Anyone know the depth of the rings on a 99 Techno. I know they are 72.5 x ? I found some aftermarket rings but need to know if they are 1.0mm or 1.5 etc?

I’ve rigged up a horn with my indicator lights to make the bike road legal and replaced the headlight bulb which had long died a death. The indicators and horn are working, but the headlight is not working. Does anyone have any advice. I’m pretty much a novice with this stuff.

Does anyone know if the 200 crank has any kind of stuffers?

After a longish period of time without riding my Beta rev3 250, due to the lack of time over the summer, the bike's engine doesn't seem too happy about running. My first guess would be some of the oil that might have got deposited inside the crankcase (as petrol goes bad after a while). When I ride it, there seems to be a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe, and when i come to turn it off, it dies down (normal) and then backfires. Any suggestions to solving this problem are welcome. Thanks

Whilst out practicing at the weekend the bike developed a tinny horrible rattle from the bottom of the motor, after a quick check I found the flywheel weight had come loose, just posting this in case it happens to anyone else

Hi all out of interest does the s3 titanium exhaust header offer any gains in power or is it basically weight saving and aesthetics. I know expansion pipes will alter powere on there difrent dimensions but this is only a single tube , only thing that will may be differ is if its longer in dimensions.

Bike cut out today at end of trial. No warning, was upto temp and working reasonably hard. Long push back to van. No spark, plug and lanyard checked loom inspected with nothing obvious, coil with resistance of 9.55 kohm. does anyone know which wires to test on stator plug and what resistance you should expect? Hi! All the bikes has an amount of engine sound. (I'm not talking about the sound of the muffler and I'm also not talking about piston knock or something like this. I'm talking about the normal sound of the engine itself.) Brand new bikes are pretty silent in the engine area. But with time somehow this sound can increase. Is it possible the reduce the engine sound? For example a new piston makes the engine more silent? Or new bearings, or what?

would like to know are the engine cases on a 2007 beta rev 3 270 cc aluimnium or magnesium as i thinking of buyin one and the cases look gold looking as i know on some gasgas raga models they are gold looking and are magnesium as i had a bike before with magnesium cases and the oil started to rott them away so if it does have the i will walk away
