  1. I insured my Scorpa SY250R through Carol Nash. It was added on to my road bike insurance for an extra
  2. If thats the same bike I saw at a Lancs County Evening series trial (no doubt about it) the guy that owns it has a matching one piece Lycra suit Yuk and double Yuk!!!!!!!!!
  3. Cut a short piece of steel so it sits inside the shell of the bearing and tack weld it in place then you can knock out the shell from the opposite side, then repeat the process for the other bearing if needed.
  4. Just a quick update, I have fitted a 42t rear sprocket with the standard 10t front and what a difference its made, 2nd gear is just like 1st now and I have found using 1st in very tight sections a lot easier. Thanks for everyones advice. Jamie.
  5. Thanks but I have already geared it up by fitting a 36t rear sprocket but I feel that I might like it better if 1st was lower , like I said theres only one way to find out and thats to try it. The feedback I've had seems to be 50/50 so I am going to try it, I can always revert back to original gearing.
  6. Thanks for your input, I think I am going to try a 42t rear sprocket. My last bike was a GasGas 250 and I found that I used 2nd most of the time but 1st came in really handy every now and then. The Scorpa is a fantastic bike and I love it but just feel I may be able to make more use out of the rest of the gearbox by lowering the gearing, theres only one way to find out and thats by trying it! Thanks again for you input.
  7. I have a 2008 Scorpa sy250 and would like to hear from anyone that has changed their rear sprocket for a larger one and how did they find the results. At present I have changed it from 38t to 36t (my friend is running this size and loves it) but I would prefer to try and lower the gearing so 2nd is more useable and then I can use 1st for for those tight turns. My front sprocket is standard size 10t, I have been told a 42t sprocket would work, any ideas?
  8. Does anyone know if a 250 Techno engine will fit in a 1996 125 frame? If so what else if any do i have to change, Exhaust, Carb, Electrics etc? Cheers Jamie
  9. GASGAS JTX250 1997. Can anyone tell me what size jets/needle and needle position should be in a Delorto PHBL26BS carb. Also how many turns out should the fuel mixture screw be as a starting point.
  10. Hi I had the same problem with a JTX250, when i removed the brake line from the master cylinder and blocked the hole with my thumb it had pressure straight away but as soon as i put the brake line back on there was nothing. I tried forcing fluid from the caliper to the master cylinder to remove any trapped air and then into the reservoir bottle, bleeding it at the master cylinder and at the caliper brake line connection and the nipple and eventually i got it working but unfortuanately i dont know how, all i can suggest is keep trying (it took about 6 hours in total).
  11. Thats right ZARKOFF I`m an Engineer and I am always helping my friends repair their bikes! I even had to weld my mates clutch cover after he had a little accident pulling wheelies!!! Thats what friends are for!!!
  12. Hi, I`m about to start back into Trials after a 12 year break although i have done a few Hare and Hounds and Sprint hillclimbs. Like they say you never forget how to ride a bike. Good luck to all born again Trials riders. Jamie
