can anyone help me out,ive a 280 climber and the big end bearing has gone,i only need the bearing and not the full con rod kit,as this is to buy

i have a aprilia climber 240 have had it for about 5 months now and had no problems wth it till now. The bike was running fine then it just cut out took plug out to see if it was sparking and no spark so i changed the plug and it worked for about a hour and then the same no spark with new plug so i got another plug and that is sparking. any one know what could be causeing this to happen also dose anyone know what spark plug should be in a climber 240......................... thanks simon

how do i tell what size motor my climber has ?

I recently got this climber 280. I'm told its a 91 or 92 but I cannot find any vin decoder to verify that. Can anyone familiar with them tell from the pictures what year it range it is? I'm doing a full fluids swap on it as its been sitting for about 2 years. What gear oil should viscosity should I be using? From my research I've just found people saying a wet clutch compatible oil but cannot find any specifics on the weight. It also looks like the forks are collapsed, I haven't had a chance to tear into them yet to see if anything is broken but wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone has run into something like this in the past before I go in blind. Hi guys Anyone know where I can get hold of original clutch cables for either of these bikes? They were more flexible than the latest Venhill cables and it helps with routing Please help!!!!! Dave

my mates aprillia 280 climber stopped working after he changed the oil, he had the bike on its side while drilling a hole in the bash plate, after that it wouldnt start, i cleaned out the carb it fired up eventually but run like dog, the spark is very weak , i have a scorpa easy and i had problems with the stator is the aprillia prone to stator problems? has anybody had any similar problems or any advice thankyou jez
