I had Paul Master replicate his build on my 20.0 and it rides like a dream now. I had bought a first generation 20.0 that was unrideable. I even got a new controller from OSET and it helped, but still was not any fun. Paul is known in our trials club as the EcoTrials guy because he made an electric trials bike from a Montesa a long, long time ago. Then he did it with a 20.0 about 2-3 years ago. He uses an Alltrax controller that can manage huge amounts of current (designed for a golf cart) and is programable, in tandem with a Magura throttle. The mapping is so tame and predictable off the bottom that I can perfectly control and balance on turns now, and it ramps up to…

I've been told today by Nige at TrialsUK, that Horsforth Club will be running a separate E class course at their Youth national on 18th September at Home Farm, Bradford, (if there's enough interest). If you've got a son or daughter with an Oset and you don't live too far away, please try your best to support this event. Well done Nige.

Hello All, My grandson is interested in motorcycles and turning three. His mom seems open to him riding trials (versus mx, etc). I am imagining that kids outgrow their Osets regularly so they come up reasonably often. Does anyone know of one available in the NE US? Thanks, Ward

Hi,can anybody shed some light on where I should start with my sons 07 24v 16 oset, it dos'nt seem to have the same power as his 12.5. I fitted a new set of batteries and this has made a great difference to the length of time he can ride but the actual power the motor puts out for him getting up climbs etc seems to be lacking. Ive tried disconnecting the limiter but this makes no difference, I'm now thinking, new brushesin the motor or a new motor? Can anybody point me in the right direction or had a similar problem? THANKS

I just bought a used Oset 12.5R for son #2 (shhhh, Xmas present). Needs new ti res. The stock tires are 12x2.4 (64-203mm). There are some smokin' deals on ebay for tires labeled 12 1/2" x 2 1/4". Two tires and two tubes for $23 shipped. Will 12.5" tires fit and is this why the bike model is a 12.5?

Does anyone have information on after market tires and brake pads that will fit the Oset 12.5R? I tried searching tires online but there seems to be different tire specs depending on manufacturer. My kid loves doing burnouts and needs a new back tire soon. Was hoping to find a more aggressive tire. Thanks.

Hi all. I have a 2017 Oset 24R and i would like to get more power from it. Any suggestions? I am not averse to ripping the entire motor and controller set up out and starting again. I would like more range, but definitely more torque. Thanks guys.

Hi, I just purchased the bike recently and have a ton of fun with it. Only nagging issue so far is a clunking noise. I would guess it's coming from the front fork, because as I was focusing on determining where it comes from, I could link to the time when going at speed over roots, as if the fork was quickly rebounding to the maximum extended length. It almost feels that there's no top-off springs, but rather like a metal bushing would hit a metal stopper lip in the tubes. I am running 10psi pressure and tried the rebound setting everywhere from min to max without any positive impact on the issue. Bike is in warranty, but dealer is almost 2hrs drive aw…

Hi guys, thanks for the cool topics and answers that I've been reading for a while now. I disassembled my son's oset 16, gave the frame for powder coating and now I'm having trouble assembling the swing arm... basically the bushings are too small for the holes and I can't remember(or find) if there was anything between the swing arm and the bushings... Any help will be much appreciated!

Today when we loaded up to go to a nearby park, I noticed that the black plastic cap was missing from the left fork tube on my older son's 16" 36v. I looked down in, and saw that the inside of the tube was threaded, but the fork seemed to be secured in the triple clamp. We had only ridden for 5 minutes when Owen crashed going through some mulch... "Daddy! My moto is broken!" Sure enough that fork tube had fallen out of the triple clamp and the wheel had spun around like the front wheel on a shopping cart. He was fine, and the bike was OK except for the fork. I discovered that on these RST forks, the right tube has a spring in it, but the left tube is only for stab…

Hello, I am curious about your experiences with LiPo packs. Recently my daughter moved to 16" Oset. I made 13.5A S8 LiPo pack for her 12", it was good enough for half a day riding G class competition. The main battery drop was actually happening between stages on the crossings. What is your experience with 16" Oset and LiPo-s, what amperage you have and how long and what distance it can cover?

Just got my son an Oset 16 racing. He is thrilled to bits. Garden is now chewed up but at least he enjoyed his first few rides. Mrs sensibly won't let me take him practicing till his proper helmet arrives. Was wondering about washing it? I've always jet washed trials bikes and dried them properly afterwards with no issues at all. I understand jet washing these osets is a big no no. Is this actually the case ? What bits should be kept dry ? If they have such an aversion to water should he even avoid streams and puddles? Any help would be appreciated before I ruin it.

Hi folks, my son was riding is OSET today and it appeared to go into limp mode (no buggy as I thought it had just over heated) but then it started make a funny noise from the motor area...I noticed that the D Link sprocket was slightly loose and wondered if was just that or if it was something more serious. I've posted videos as its easy to understand. Thanks for the advice in advance https://youtube.com/shorts/U8uOQKF3z_E?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/ao0R2aY6TJc?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/2flpOSULZIE?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/-kDAHr5nywA?feature=share

I find these forums a great source of valuable information, and wanted to add with my review of the first 6 months of my OSET knowledge. I have a girl (5yo) and a boy (8yo). They both started riding the OSET at 4 and 7. I struggled a little with the price but with apparent good resale value and good reviews I overcame this. I bought a new 36V in Mar this year. I live in town, a quiet street with a back yard. Had I bought a 2T gas motor this story would have lasted about a day, but the whirr of the tires is the only sound so no neighbour issues. Getting my kids started with a twist grip and huge torque was a major challenge, it will dump every kid on their behind and…

Hi, new to the forum and trials, from more an Enduro / Green laning background. Bought a 2nd hand Pre 2015 Oset 16 36v for my boys Christmas present, seems to run ok, but the part of the harness highlighted in yellow in the image is broken and not connected. It looks like an in-line fuse to me, but also looks to be in a useless loop. Could someone let me know what it is please as I likely don't have time to order a wiring harness mail order before Christmas, but could repair it. Although as stated it runs, so don't know if it's part of something else, charging maybe? I've tried looking at the wiring diagrams online, but it doesn't appear clear, at least to me. …
