Hi guys I am looking for information for my ossa 125 tr i 2014 Can you tell me if I can find sprockets to replace the broken one (visible in the photo). At first I thought the engine was broken and no it was a piece of the kickstarter broke inside the gearbox and this broke a tooth of the pinion I would be sad to have to throw the bike in the trash when everything else is working perfectly. Can we replace them with another brand? Gasgas Sherco.... THANKS

  4. Started by IDC,

I am in the process of rebuilding my TR77 and have come across a problem whilst trying to re-fit the front wheel. The hub/spindle assembly is too long to go between the fork legs, please see attached photos. The only thing I can think is that the spacer between the speedo drive and the ns bearing is too long? The spacer I have is 17.5mm long 20mm od and 12.5mm id, Ossa part no 106604 which I think is common to MAR versions as well. Has anybody got their front wheel out at the moment and if so can you please confirm the dimensions of the spacer on your bike. Thanks.

Recently purchased a 73 MAR and a 72 Pioneer. Will need help refurbishing them. I'd say restoration but neither bike will be brought back to completely original. I'd appreciate contacts to used parts, any pics of authentic bikes, owners manuals and so on. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Tried attaching pics with no luck

Is there anyone who sells the 11 tooth MAR sprocket in the United States?

  10. Hi, just joined site and hoping to get some help putting a tr280i back in the mud. I absolutely love the bike and the engineering, but spares are proving elusive! I need a gear selector shaft for a 2011 as when taken apart the posts that holds the rollers that goes in the selector drum on one side has snapped off! Any help pointing me towards a new shaft will be much appreciated thanks guys Pete

  11. Hello, New to trials, not new to bikes. I very recently bought a 2011 280i from a mate, he has not used the bike for some time and may even have lost interest in the bike given it was so much hard work to start. It had the 9volt battery mod but I found that the handlebar push button to engage the battery was not functioning. So the bike took a million kicks to start by which time you needed a lie down to recover..... I replaced the switch which improved things but around 10 kicks to light the fire was not uncommon. I checked spark and it was fat and healthy, I had drained and replaced the pre-mix and I had tidied up the horrendous job that had been done during t…

What are gear ratios for a 5 speed 250 MAR? Thanks.

  13. Started by ColinPybus,

With reference to an earlier post on here about a broken threaded boss on the right side engine casing on a 250 Mar, I have the same problem on mine. Upon further inspection I noticed the hole for the thread was a further 10mm deeper from where it was broken off. Using an M6 machine tap I managed to tap the hole to the bottom giving more than enough length and strength for an M6 countersink bolt. The only problem I'll have now is sourcing a bolt long enough! Site won't let me send pic as over 2mb big. Can this be changed or is there something I need to do? I've sent pics before no bother.

1974 OSSA MAR 250. What is the recommended spark plug gap?

  18. Started by ColinPybus,

Hello all, Please excuse my "butchery" but I managed to simply remove the splined bush off the crankshaft by turning an aluminium dolly to fit inside and then gently heating up the bush with a plumbers blowtorch and then hitting dolly to remove. Looked online and there's all sorts of special tools but this work a treat.

Hi, unlike Bultaco I can't find any books on Ossa's, I'm mainly looking for info on the Mar range, so if you know of anything (in or out of print) I would be greatful if you could let me know the title or ISBN number. Cheers in anticipation ! NB.

  20. Started by Hobbsy,

My son has inherited an Ossa 250 Mick Andrews (lucky boy!) but it has no compression (got stuck on full revs, so re-bore is likely). Steve Sell is going to sort it for me but I need to get the engine out to take to him. As a newbie to bikes, any advice, things to watch out for, or sources of info would be much appreciated. Are any special tools required? Risk of damage (eg exhaust removal?). I've found the parts diagrams and manual online, but it doesn't cover engine removal. Many thanks.
