  1. I'd pretty much come to the conclusion to start using firefox a little while ago, just hadn't got round to downloading it. It is free right? I haven't been led into illegally downloading it because i know that talk like that just isn't allowed. I'm guessing you can use firefox to view documents and stuff aswell then? Anyway I'm gonna download it tonight. If any of you have set up Fireox to use 'hotkeys' (i think thay are called you know like the home back forward buttons etc on your keyboard) it would be nice to know a little in advance how. I don't use them much but it would be nice to knnow how. Bob I'm using Windows XP Media Centre i think it must be 2005 Internet Explorer 6 The problem occurs if you log on whilt someone else is also logged on to the same computer but only if they have internet explorer running at that time. The error message says something along the lines of: This program has terminated the runtime in an unusual way. Contact the program company for more information. As regards networking it is connected to a BT wireless router in access point mode and is set to share printers and shared docs files with aoter computer also connected to the router but the oter one wirelessly.
  2. Hi, As a last resort before i either give up, try a helpline or reinstall some software i thought somebody on here might be able to help. The problem seems to be pretty simple but i haven't a clue why it is happening. I am using windows media centre 2002 and basically if i try to open internet explorer whilst someone else is logged on a runtime error occurs before internet explorer even gets chance to open, log the other person off and everything is hunkydory again, it's getting on my nerves abit, especially with the computer being pretty new and it has been doing it from new. Which Bike

ha you haven't seen me with an angle grinder I'm only gonna grind it if i'm not satisfied with the brake or if i am atking it into a bike shop for a true anyway. I'm guessin i'll bend the wheel first so it'll probably be a bike shop doing it. I'm also not very good at truing wheels. If i do get fed up with a slippy brake then i might get the grinder back out, but i'll have a good practice first. Bob

    Which Bike

Since im not buying new and so the bike won't be in a bike shop unless it needs to be then im going to try running it with smooth rims until i get fed up and the i will send the wheel away for a grind. Bob

    Which Bike

Low North looks good, perhaps you could go there when a trial is on there are loads of kids on trials bikes, and you could ask what the situation with practicing on a push bike is. Also in the scarborough there are those new sea defences.......... What about Dalby? bob

    Bike Died - No Spark

Have you tried the little things cuch as the HT lead and the spark plug, also some plugs are difficult to notice a spark on them. Check the connections on the coil aswell. That is a stator, although i think youre will have four coils rather than six. The six coil stators were used until 2002 and are now only used on the 200s. The stator costs around
  10. I got a new wheel from 'tartybikes.co.uk'. They were really helpful and explained this tyre size business to me. What i understood from what the guy told me on the phone is that modern 20 inch trials bikes if you measure the diameter of the full wheel with the tyre on front and back then they should be pretty much te same, give or take abit due to tyre pressures. This means that the rear rim has to be smaller than the front by a little bit due to the fatter tyre. Apparently the 20 inchtyres for the back are hardly ever used now, so chances are its a 19 inch one. If you give them a ring then they will probably know what size you need for that bike. I got a 19 inch swamp crawler (maxxis i think) It is a good tyre and hasn't worn too quickly with regular use on rocks and tarmac. But i think that on push bikes it is alot more about technique than tyres as regarding grip so long as you do have trials tyres. Hope his helps Bob
  11. Hi, Mine did the same, i put new pistons seals and pads in, just make sure that the master cylinder adjuster is backed off enough though to allow the pads to move back, if not then slacken that off. It sounds like all of your pistons are jammed which i would've thought unlikely all at once. It could also be that you have hydraulicly locked the system if there is too much fluid in it, but thats not so likely if the pads are well worn. The pistons and seals are really easy to fit, but it really is a pain to bleed. Bob
  12. Oh God James, Looks like you've had a pretty bad week what with you breaking down on Wednesday night then snapping yer bike. Tell yer dad it wasn't your fault and he'll pay for the bits perhaps. Bob
  13. The whole show had its facts wrong pretty much, such as putting on the spoiler for more grip off the start in a drag race? Perhaps there was a strong head wind, but it was still on the back of a front wheel drive?????? Bob

    Flywheel Cover

I just got an email back if anyone is interested. Hi Bob, >thanks for your valued enquiry. >We can and do make bespoke castings to order. We certainly can make >flywheel covers and have already done so. >As you can imagine it is a difficult choice to decide which parts to >mass produce. We certainly have plans to make flywheel covers but >have not started the operations yet. >If you want a one off making we can and will do it. The casting will >cost about

    Flywheel Cover

Sorry, forgot to mention that, i got carried away. Thats why i wondered really if many people were interested because it would be good if they were to make them. Bob

    Flywheel Cover

Has anyone noticed on the trialcast gallery that they have made an alloy flywheel cover to replace the plaggy things. There have been afew problems with people getting water on their electrics due to this rubbish case, and i thought that although not a complete solution to the problem, an alloy case may well atleast mean water doesn't gush in. You could just loosen it off when you get home and let the condensation dry out, and hopefully do less damage to the electrics. So basically i wondered what you thought, everyone seemed quite interested when someone make a flywheel cover before, and if loadsa people were interested then maybe they would make them, which would be really good cos i like abit of bling. Torque Specs

I've heard that ducks butts come in a variety of tensions. Thanks, I'll go untill i hear a pop then back it off a qauarter of a turn as per usual. And I'll give lampkins a ring or drop them an email later next week when they aren't so busy. It would be really good Essex Rider if you could get your hands on some torque specs. I've found info for Beta's alot harder to find that with my old Sherco. It would've been sold before now if it wasn't for Tc. Cheers Bob

    Torque Specs

Hi, Does anyone have any specific torque specs for the bolts which you commonly do/undo. I can't see any in the manual, and i am abit of a novice as regards torque, loosey goosey or stripped are my two only settings. All I know is the flywheel is tight as F*%"

    Mid-pipe Repacking

Shouldn't that have been in the bike???? I think they are on about the stuff around that perforated pipe. Bob

    Gear Box Oil

Arron you really do need to pay attention more at school . I use motul and it seems fine(plus dealer just gave me a load free), its all pretty much the same stuff. I had good results with motorex in my sherco, and i someties used silkolene but im not so keen on that stuff, no reason just a thing i have. Remember engine oil isn't gearbox oil. Bob
  24. If it does blow whats the worst thats gonna happen? I've popped bike tyres before and usually it just pushes off the rim, a huge bulge appears and then that blows, giving you a fright and a cool draught. If you were really scared with a tubed tyre you could fill it with water and then blow it up to the max and beyond?? Bob
  25. I only saw one outdoor round last year (belgium) and it was really good, much better than the indoor stuff, the sections were beter even in the bits where it wasn't all big steps and stuff which i thought would look rubbish on TV. If anyone spots it then please post it on here, I'll keep a look out too. Bob
