  1. Well as most of you know we (Tim "Smokey" Walker & Paul "Wobbler" Norman) entered the Manx 2 Day Sidecar Trial in aid of 3 Charities - Cancer Research , MacMillan Nurses & Eden Valley Hospice ( Entering was to prove the easiest part). Our main aim was to raise in excess of
  2. Well we're off, the Bike and Chair is in the van and the sponsored riding wear has arrived. On our way to Heysham to meet TEAM HUGHIE in the Pub. Remember we are doing this for charity so help out if you can. "Stop Press"..........Nasty Rumour...........Jezza's Stopped drinking . Bing Bong gets "Haribo" Sponsorship .(Like Hebo but Bigger) and is it true Shirty's asked you to keep your feet up......He didn't mean watching the telly. Updates to follow. Smokey and the Wobbler.
  3. Thanks for the help. I'm now well on he way to getting it all running again VIVA MONTESA Thanks again Wobbler
  4. I need some help regarding the following for a 349 "white tank" Montesa. 1 - I need a fuel filler cap . 2 - Clutch and gearbox filler plastic tops (Threaded) and i presume the clutch filler is on the outside with the gearbox filler nearer the centre of the engine. Amounts for Fork oil,Gearbox oil and Clutch. It also has a Crankcase/chainguide protector that the chain tensioner fits onto, this is damaged and I wondered if there were any after market options available. Is there a standard spacer to replace the old speedo mechanism or will it need to be specially machined. Sorry if some of these are a bit vague. i would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks in advance WOBBLER
  5. ask a guy called "Steady Lejeune" , he is the TY Guru in the Northern Centre....... He whips my Sherco "week in week out" and he's on DRUM BRAKES........ A good rider on an old bike beats a young rider on a new bike.........
  6. Andy, Thanks for your reply. I expected that you might have something in hand. Its just a pity the mindless few have spoiled it for every one else. Keep up the good work. Wobbler
  7. Having just had my first real outing of the year at the Westmorland Club's Londasale Cup Trial, my thoughts were brought back to how we used to be able to put comments directly below the results. To me this was great and I really enjoyed some of the "Banter" that could be had amongst mates. I don't manage to get out every weekend and it was nice to see some faces from our trip to the Isle of Man ie. Team Short ( Of which I am a member) and this brought me to wonder if this facility might ever be available again. I understand fully that it was due to a Small Idiotic Minority that it was stopped . My Monday mornings were always cheered up by the weekend activities of such "famous" riders such as "Steady Lejeune" "Adam Lager" " Jasper Tararse" to name but a few. I'll be interested to hear any one else's comments Wobbler. For those involved in the running of the web sit ,please don't take this as a negative comment because I think you do a great job for the Trials community.
  8. Whaoooo!!!! Saw the Cumberland Club results and I see Steady Lejuene has forsaken the "old works Honda Twinshock" and moved on to an ex works air cooled yam!!!!. Only lost 1 mark all day.....gave Adam Lager and Jasper Tararse a good whipping...... Wait until the return of Teddy Michaud on the Fantic..... Thanks to all the Boys and Helpers who made the Isle of Man such a good weekend...... Smokin Tim......Where's my Cheque..... Go the "Short Trials Team" ....small legs mean less dabs.....but more 5's Wobbler
  9. Aye Ballamory Beta, A couple of the boys got up OK - But One Namless Demonstration Rider Came Back Down Quicker Than He Went Up - he got an award though......And a spare foot peg !! Thanks again ....We'll be back next year....
  10. Just a quick word to thank the organisers again for a geat weekend. For me the course was just right. Is there a web site for the photographs? A few notes on the weekend from "Team Carlisle" "Do Gaerne or Alpine Stars make a boot for a webbed foot" and are those one piece suits ok for "Scuba Diving". Nice to see a Scorpa last 2 days in Scotland...... Thanks Daniel for buying your "Minders a Beer" Not!!! See you all next year. Team Carlisle
  11. "Team Carlisle" getting bigger by the minute - with Bing Bong making his second pilgrimage into Scotland this year. I would appreciate it if none of the first sections on Sunday have "Deep water pools" near, as riding round wet through all day is a real pain !! Looking forward to a few quiet pre trial beers in Tobemory with Edy McCredie and friends on the friday night. See you all there!! Team Carlisle
  12. Can any one help me with a manual or diagram to showing the rear suspension linkage? I also need to know what grade and amount of oil for the forks. Thanks in advance. Wobbler
  13. I went to mull with the "Carlisle Possie" last year for the firs time and had a great weekend. The sections were for me "Good Clubman" routes. The only pity was that the lap was reduced due to the weather - hopefully this year it wont be so low cloud. We stopped in tobemory and had a belter......Rumour is, if Rappers is there this year its his round!!. The whole team is back this year with our "New Trials Coach" - "Smokin Tim" so watch out. "Steady Lejune" is going for the Twin Shock Pot again on his "Works Honda" and Jasper is going to try not to catch the Black Death on the last day. Spiderman has been on a diet and Spot isn't going to fall of practising in the Bed and Breakfast Car Park. Bing Bong can't make it as "Team Swaledale" is Lambing and that he's done his 2 Day Scottish Trial this year already. Who's proposing this year ? See you all there! "Team Carlisle"
  14. Just about to make my Summer comeback, so thought I'd check out how my mates have been doing. Looked on the results page and it looks like an I D Parade of the bad boys of trialing. BUt where was the pictures of "Smoking Tim" and "Bing Bong Bingley". And look at all those new bikes......There's been some money spent in the winter.
  15. New to this technology and just need some advice. I need to get a set of Fork Sliders re chromed and thought some one might have a contact number. Thanks in advance
