I suppose it depends how good you are at finding grip in the first place !!!
I would always turn mine - Maybe ask Robin Oliphant if they put different rubber on one side of the nobbles !!!!!
Plus - I've been stuffed by people who have well knackered back tyres !!!!!

Agreed they are both Legends - But Don't forget about Jonny Walker who was a very good trials rider before making the move to Enduro / Extreme Enduro - And with a couple of good wins under his belt is certainly in the mix.
Although it's not trials related it's nice to see how riders you've met and ridden against / alongside are doing....
I only wish I was good enough to give it a go !!!!!!
-
I recently bought some Fantic twin shock bits from a chap called Ben Owen - I wonder if any one might have a contact number for him as I seem to have misplaced the one I had.

One will pull your arms out of the sockets and one won't !!!!!
other than that much the same !!!!

Fantic Guru's ,
It's stupid question time from me again !!! apologies in advance.
I am in the process of building a 240 from a basket case - I also have a 241 and 243 to use or borrow bits as required.
My problems are that upon fitting the forks directly out of my 241 I seem to be missing a spacer on the brake plate side - I realise that I will need to get a triangle shaped plate to fit to the two holes in the fork leg (where the caliper attaches) and the front brake steady - It would be ideal if someone already makes them !!!! I have the original forks but I think one of the legs is bent.....
Secondly I dont have a chain slider on and i'm not quite sure where the bracket and the brackets for the chain guard fit - Can I fit an after market chain guard or one from my 241/243
What would be ideal are some sizes and a couple of close up pictures.
I'm sure Lee will come to my rescue - I just feel ridiculous bothering him all of the time - so i thought i'd give a few more people a chance to help an imbecile !!!!!
Thanks in advance
As always

In motion have always been great - It's good that they get a positive mention as most of the time all we hear about is poor service....
I've used them a lot as I keep smashing and breaking things...
Well done to all the team at in Motion !! hope not to speak to you for a couple of weeks !!!

Get yourself a trip up North to Pately Bridge for the Sammy Miller Round on 14th July even if you entered and just rode round you'd meet some decent like minded people.....Check the ACU website for more details - Good one lap trials and not too hard !!
-
Tam - as for dates not 1st of September (Manx Classic) not 8th Sept (Cumberland 2 Day at Glenridding) any others I'll try my utmost...

Sorry Mike that was Tim not me - I did hear that you moved like a Ninja.........Thats what happens when you've no passenger to keep you under control !!!
-
Ah now your taking me back there " The Pist "N" Broke Trials Team - Would be nice to see some pictures if any one had any....
I presume you are Laal Bonky Barrow himself !!! Would love to see "Foo Cannell" Smithy and Pricey out again.
Tim's not riding the Classic - He's been struck down with Bingo-itous , Which means you talk about the good old days and never go near a bike !!!!
So for the Classic we've had to take the Sidecar off Leeroy's BSA C15 - he's a worthy replacement and about the same weight.
As for getting the bikes there - I'm thinking of sending them with a mate of mine who works over there a bit at a time !!!
See you Saturday you Pot Hunter....
Yours as always

As we've left it a bit late to book the ferry ( For various reasons) - We have only been able to book foot passenger tickets.
I am looking to try and see if anyone has space for a couple of Bikes on the Ferry from Heysham to Douglas on Friday 30th August 14-15 sailing.
and also on the return on Monday 2nd September Douglas to Heysham 08-45.
We will be more than happy to share some of the costs ....
Other than that you'll see two Blokes heading to the Bar with a 247 Montesa and a BSA C15 in their Hand Luggage !!!
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance...
The Wobbler (And Leeroy who can't use a computer !!!)

Great Photos from a fantastic weekend.

Afternoon again gents,
I am looking to try and find some replacement swinging arm bushes for my 1979 Cota 247 C.
The guys at in motion couldn't help any ideas ???
Thanks as always.

A friend of mine who did the "Sumpguard" mod on mine moved my pegs back and down and put modern hangers on !!! The picture might help you.
Next ride out for me is the highland classic - Got some Rockshocks coming so we'll see how it goes !!
-
Robbo - Glad to hear it's going well.
My amal was drawing air in so replaced it with a 26mm Mikuni and adapter (Barrel to carb) - made it a differant bike - But not cheap , The guys at in motion can supply.
As for the front brake mine's a nightmare - I tie a piece of old innertube under the bottom of the fork leg from the front brake plate securing bolt and onto the lever - Just helps the spring pull the lever back- Not pretty but it works for me!!!
Keep up the good work - think I'm going to try electronic ignition next !!
Cheers

See you soon .....

Martin,
i've just spoken to elxtrec World and they suggested if I placed an order with the requiorement for a lighter flywheel they could supply as to my requirements.
Is the system working fine and does this sound like a reasonable line for me to take ??
