That's what i already have, was looking for something that lasts a bit longer
-
Well i've been thinking about changing to Montesa lately, and specificaly a 315.
Just a few questions though first if you don't mind?
Were there any significant changes made to the 315 in the years it was produced/
And, seen as they are getting on a bit, are there any good mods/improvements or upgrades that you would recomend?
Thanks

Well at least I got a reply

Is it possible to get pastic frame protectors for a 2003 bike. The ones that come up quite a way. i'm finding them for 2006 bikes onwards but not for the earlier ones.
If they are available, where from?
-
Thought so never heard of you
You sorted your clutch on the gasser yet?
-
You wouldn't hapen to race cars by any chance would you
-
I have a 2003 290, running rough is probably a bit of an exageration but it doesn't run buttery smooth. The revs don't really come down to quickly either and it surges a little. I have read this thread http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/35972-sherco-290-09-revs-falling-slowly/
and given the carb a good clean and a new air filter. The ignition has also been retarded 4mm. Anyone have any suggestions, what could cause this. it's not to much of a problem, but i would rather it wasn't there
-
Please correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't it be to much bike for a complete novice?
-
but were the stickers looking good
-
When buying a used dirt bike I always assume I am going to have to change the wheel bearings, fork seals, pads and chain and sprokets. it's just something I normaly have to do.
must be very annoying though if someone claims these parts are like new
-
I have been looking around for a rear fender and decal set for my 2003 290. Is it only genuine parts that are out there, or are ther cheaper pattern parts available. Emphasis on the word cheaper
-
Have you looked at the Yamaha Tricker. i know of a couple of guys who have done a large wheel conversion on them and are very impressed with the result. Good for trail riding and ldt's
Rieju also do a clone called the tango i believe which is a bit cheaper
Alternatively what about a Gas Gas Pampera?
-
i just bought some from Spatshop the were

Couple of rides in and i'm loving the bike. being new to trials though, it has taught me several things
1. I have no bike skills whatsoever
2. I have no balance whatsoever
3. when the throttle jams open and you end up a tree, it's the scariest thing ever to happen to you on a motorcycle and it hurts a lot
What I mean to say is i'm loving it so far

Just had a cylinder done at langcorts

Can't I get nipples out of a non corrosive material?
Brass or stainless steel
-
With a title like that it could have gone anywhere. I just found out there is a band of that name
Anyway, you rekon just do them 1 at a time and everything will be o.k
-
My front wheel has nipples that have gone rusty. is it possible to change all of them myself or should i go to a wheelbuilder?
-
The shorter plugs have ecm after the numbers instead of es.
Unfortunately i'm not sure if you can get them? well i can't find one anyway.
You can get 7 and 8's but not 5's it seems
-
I think there is a little confusion here. The plug is fine in the thread and there is nothing wrong with it apart from acess being a little tight. I know on some dirt bikes it is possible to get the same plug, but with a shorter porcelain section. It just makes things a little easier thats all. just wondering if these plugs were available for the Sherco?
On my KTM these were used and they take a regular cap
-
Is it possible to get a short spark plug for a 2003 290?
The plug currently in there is very difficult to remove, due to it's length
-
Yes I have one now, but i'm not going to stop nagging you. It's all your fault anyway. tempting me with your strange ways about going slow
