  1. Father buys a lie detector that makes a loud beep whenever somebody tells a lie.

The son comes home in the afternoon. Father asks him, “So, you were at school today, right?”

    Son: “Yeah.”

    Detector: “Beep.“

Son: “OK, OK, I was in a cinema.”

    Detector: “Beep.”

Son: “Alright, I went for a beer with my friends.”

Father: “What?! At your age, I wouldn’t touch alcohol!“

    Detector: “Beep.”

Mother laughs: “Ha ha ha, well, he really is your son!”

    Detector: “Beep.”

Don't rely on chains and ground anchors too heavily. a cordless 4 inch disc cutter with a 1mm disc cuts through them like butter . Frightning

yes but a grinder at 3am in the morning does tend to make a lot of noise?

But could be an issue in a secluded area

what do people typically use for security for their bikes? I have a heavy duty chain and lock but don't have it secured to a solid anchor point. With all the bike thefts recently I want to upgrade my security.

    What do you guys use?

You need it anchored to the floor, or they will just carry it off and load it in a van!

    Unfortunately I speak with experience

And an alarm if possible, even the cheapo ebay shed alarms are better than nothing!

  4. I’ve always made a point of not displaying my bikes, but last week some lowlife was flying a drone around spying in peoples back gardens!

it seemed quite interested in my bike which I was cleaning at the time

I tried to follow it but it shot off into the distance, someone told me the expensive ones have a range of 4 miles and a 4k camera!

    Hello guys,

    i'm using a shoedryer https://www.shoefresh.eu/nl/?gclid=CjwKCAjwj8bPBRBiEiwASlFLFcvdKkQSza8ZOsPUgFljgeQBaQc6GQwy1vA3mrWQ98tui2UiHc-OoRoCqFkQAvD_BwE

Works fantastic. Temprature is 37°c like yourself so leather wont crack at all. There ara also models with 2 sepparated parts.

    Greathings,
    Luc

A shoe dryer would be nice, but who pays for all the Febreze :zombie:

Sorry to horn in. Are the frames really chrome-plated? If so, hydrogen embrittlement would seem like a likely cause of cracking. I would have expected nickel-plating instead.

Yes, hard chrome plated. but I think the plates are mild steel.

It's always the way, isn't it.

mine hasn't split, but it has a small buckle.

that's how mine started, then the buckle developed a very fine crack :(

The chrome is perfect on this frame, it seems such a shame to weld!

  8. Does it smoke (a lot) all the time or just after a blast, may just be oil in the exhaust?

if it was the gasket it would suspect it would empty the gearbox rather quickly!
