  1. I recently changed the seals on txt pro but the od of the seals supplied are undersize. They seemed to fit ok

The od should have been 52.2mm but the ones supplied are 52.0mm, they don’t seem to be leaking but I’ve not done a trial yet!

Anyone else had this issue, I don’t fancy wasting the oil to change them

Brookfield garage is in stowmarket, but I've no idea on what kind of stock they have.

What i do, is try a few hats on that i like the look of at a trial (usually during a long queue), ive never had someone refuse me trying their hat on, take a note of the size and then buy online.

It would be a brave man to try on my sweaty helmet!?

Many years ago the wife kept it clean and shiny, but she’s lost interest now! ?

    Good for you

But in fairness proper gb oil is the best option

Using whatever you are happy with is a personal choice. I like the clutch action from ATF, but it’s not for everyone!

  4. I've used ATF if my gasgas for over 11 years, never had a single problem and it’s still on its original main bearings

Don’t autoboxes have bearings, and how much oil do most 2T mains (and big-ends) get with a weak premix!

Whenever i hear someone say "Literally heard the consequences" I laugh

If you use a pre-65 electric motor instead of a pre-65 petrol motor it would be hard to argue against riding in pre-65 class but you didn't ask that.

If you could hide a modern EM electric motor inside a pre-65 petrol motor and hide the cells inside a pre-65 fuel tank, then it would meet the eligibility criteria for pre-65 where I live.

BSA did build an electric trials bike, there's a picture of it with Jeff Smith riding

Why would I bother rebuilding the rear shocks b40rt? what sort of stupid question is that? if it was a show bike then I wouldn't worrie if there was any oil in them at all!!! you silly man!! or woman!

That’s a bit Harsh, I guess what B40rt is saying they are probably knackered. Most people just replace with new!

  7. I had the same problem a few years ago, I changed from Champion to NGK and the problem vanished. (bike was running a motaplat ignition)

I was reluctant to change as I got the Champion plugs for free from work!

it was only one bike that had the issue with the champion plugs, all my other bikes ran fine on them

The observers at even a club trial can be swayed into not giving the correct scores as they have, at least once, had a rider if not questioning then down right abusing them for giving them a well deserved 5.  I have been on the observer end of these "conversations" and after a row with the rider who threatened me, have come close to putting the board down and going home.

Make a note on the sheet next to the riders number, then inform the C-of-C or anyone running the trial!
