  1. The model of the Load Cell is a Challenger model 3360 by Measurement Systems International, Calibration good until 11-19-04 For those who were sceptical.
  2. Day 2 1. Geoff -11 2. CHRIS-25 3. Ryon-27 4. Bruce-31 5. Brent-38 6. David-38 7. Cody-47 8. Wilson-50 9. Ray-57 10. Travis-71 11. Kieth-79 12. Andy-87 Tommy-6 Tommy rode as the Champ he is! Congradulations to all and an excellent job by Dan, Charlie and his whole crew. As a sidelight there was a Bike Weigh-in using a calibrated load cell. The unit was Zeroed before each weight and they were hung by straps and the weight was recorded on paper and film by Shan Moore. He will publish the results in his next issue!
  3. Andy, Have him contact me about the event on March 21. Barry cota66@cfl.rr.com
  4. We will have more results and stories soon, catching up at work!
  5. A local person Died while arc welding a drum that had oil in it but was empty, exploded and tore up a garage! I wouldn't touch it!
  6. High in the 70's for both days with a slight chance of showers on saturday!
  7. Sand the steel plates with 400 grit sandpaper in a figure-8 motion to break the glaze and help them release!
  8. On the airbox; do not remove the two buttonhead fender screws and zip tie the fender, it will effect the fender to airbox seal and the fenders don't break very easily! Keep the air filter clean, routine frame maintenence and if ridden in deeper water do the dogbones.
  9. Two weeks and counting(Feb 28-29), section layout and clearing is well underway and we are hoping for the good weather to continue!
  10. Too bad they couldn't get the names right!
  11. I went surfing today, high around 70, sunny also!
  12. The Florida Trials Association's FIS is 1 month away and we are preparing to have an excellent event for our traveling and local friends! There will be primitive camping on the site and Ryan Young has committed to being there with his rigs and bevy of riders. There won't be a food concession, but in Webster Marc Waller's family has a restaurant in town called the Hayseed Caf
  13. I am giong to try to get a certified load cell to bring to the National in Tennessee to have an "Official Scale" to settle the weight question. There always seems to be some Fudging of the numbers, so a weigh-off is in order by an undisputable method!
  14. The larger pilot helps some on the rev-down and throughout the entire range also we run a 50-50 mix of 110 octane with 93 and Silkolene oil. If you service the airfilter you shouldn't have a problem unless you go swimming on the bike!
  15. At Sealevel we run a 35 pilot, smoothes out the idle to midrange transition.
  16. Unlike some other bikes, Knackering takes way more than 3-4 years (on a Mont) !

    Carb Probs

Bought a 98 new and sold it in Oct 02 , still no carb problems!
  18. There was a frame geometry change in 02 and a noticable difference in the power, porting changes!
  19. Alan, I am sure Dan has the spectator loop feet, they give you zillions for a national, and the Hooters girls add "Color" to any event!
  20. I don't think you can roll up and back on an obstacle even in indoor, but I could be wrong!
  21. After reading the post it seems that everyone gets a gift at one time or another. There was one other rider who was stuck on a peak and rolled back repeatedly with his feet down with no 5-call. In bulshers post what is troubling is outside interference whether it be another rider which as he said or someone else. In all the years I have been around the sport etiquette always was that you give the rider the benifit of the doubt and the CHECKER has the final call!
  22. Ishy, we havent heard enough yet except some scores!
