It should be the same for the local trials, don't make the Expert sections so hard that the local EX ends up with 40 points for 1st place where the other end of the class has over 100! The high points only serve to frustrate the riders who do 3s and 5s for the event, not much fun factor!

Yes, with a calibrated load cell; used 3 MC straps, one on the crossbrace and one each on the pegs, zeroed the scale and hung the bikes.

Pro without gas is 156, 4rt is 163, You are saying Ragas' bike is 134; I don't think so!
The production Raga is 148 with no gas or sidestand!

The "Fun in the Sun" two-day is quickly approaching. The dates are the 26th and the 27th of February. This year the events will be held at Hardrock Cycle Park in Ocala, Florida. Their website has all the information you will need such as directions, hotels and on-site camping, both full hookup and primitive, so check it out.

Hardrock is an old limerock mining area with a tremendous variety of terrain which offers plenty of rocks and large hillsides to test the skills of all riders. We plan on laying out 12 fun but reasonably technically-challenging sections for each of the classes. We are also planning on having a Youth event on Saturday afternoon after the main event. The other classes that will be offered are Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Sportsman, Advanced, Expert and Champ. I'm not sure which other "pros" are going to be here, but we do know the two top US riders (Geoff Aaron and Chris Florin) will be competing.
We hope to see all of you at our annual "Break from Winter" and plan to make it an enjoyable event for all!

Just back up after the Canes, I still would like to see something like this happen, within reasonable travel distance for all of us! Our FIS this year will be at Hard Rock Cycle Park in Ocala on Feb 26-27, an incredible Trials location for Florida.
Let me know if we can do it this year!

Yes, we heard the weather was similar to the dreaded Texas weather a few years ago! Bad lightning and a good hailstorm!

For all those who are anxiously awaiting results of Round 6, Geoff Aaron once again snatched the win, followed by Ryon Bell, and then Chris Florin, all within 6 points of each other. If I remember correctly, David Chavez finished 4th, Cody Webb 5th and the LeRiche brothers 6th and 7th. From what we heard, there was some pretty nasty weather that included a lot of heavy lightning and even hail, so it was a pretty wild second loop.
Congratulations to all the trials riders who rode this event and best of luck in Round 7.

1 active in the Florida Trials Assn, he rides all the events on the NATC and also some of the "Special" events. Local events if in town.
