  1. The same with the TRP shock I fitted to my Sherco 07' 125/200 , scary close to every thing, but not touching. I also had to grind away the top lug on the frame for clearance of the top shock eye, so that the click adjuster was at the bottom and accessible without dismantling anything. Cheers Taff
  2. Hi, I fitted a new mega-buck shock to my Sherco and did exactly as you suggested. Drilled a couple of holes and pushed in a "screw plug" [that expands as the screw goes in] and then the screws. Cheers Taff
  3. I had a similar problem where the clutch acted like a switch, on/off. I found the the leaver was not moving in and out smoothly. It moved out in jerks when let out slow but when just puling in and out to change gear it was not noticeable. I installed a new master cylinder kit and the problem was no longer. Now slow tight turns are a breeze. Cheers Taff.
  4. Hi, I got the aluminium pair. Cheers Taff
  5. Hi Sherco 34, I have just put the S3 wide pegs on my 07 Sherco. Made a world of difference to riding confidence and fatigue but because they are flat not droopy, feels like I'm standing a fraction higher. I find it easier to get my feet positioned where I want them. Cheers Taff
  6. Hi Slogger, yes I did as the above to guys have stated on my 07 125 and had no problems that I can recall. I also searched the forum as you say you did. I'd be lost without this forum. Cheers Taff
  7. My 125 Sherco and my 250 Beta used to do this, but after following the modification tips on this forum [have a look] no more clutch problems at all, cold or warm. Cheers Taff
  8. HI Glen, I have a program by Google called Picasa where I put my pics to edit them, then when I transfer them to the place where I store my photo's it with downsize them to a smaller size and they are stored at that size for future use. It's a free download. Cheers Taff
  9. Hi, I would check the stretch in the old chain. I just bought a new chain and had to cut a few links off. I washed the old chain and measured the wear/stretch in it and was surprised in amount of difference. When it was all full of oil and crud, it appeared ok.
  10. Me too, after 20 odd years out of the sport [retired at 50 years of age thinking I was too old] I'm back in and enjoying it. I find I'm as fanatical now as I was back then. Now I ride a Sherco 2007 200, even won a gold medal last year.

    Annoying Air Box

Hi, after welding I'd think about reinforcing the welded joint in some way. Also think about doing the spot weld thing as mentioned and then taking it to a shop that does plastic welding, just an idea good luck.
  12. Welcome Dan, is that really austria?? or did you mean Australia ??? I've found that if you go to a local club any amount of riders will offer you a bike to try, maybe you could decide whats best, as well as the advice from this forum. Enjoy. Taff
  13. This was the best video I could find and was called the best of the bunch on the Trials Australia Forum. I was there and it was a fantastic experience and this video is a great keepsake as I did not get any photo's. What a great viewing a full hour video would be at this quality. Thanks for showing it. Taff
  14. Hi Markus, and welcome. I'm in Australia and just like you found the forum and its members very very helpful and it gave me a great "kickstart" back into trials. Strange trials is small in your neck on the woods as Elite riders must start somewhere.
  15. Hi, I also bought a 2007 Sherco 125 late last year and I recon its a great machine. It has a 200 barrel etc, fitted and a flat slide carby. I went through the bike in every area [and searched this forum for all the clues and info], thanks to all the members for all the help. I did this mainly due to the bike being really cheep, and I wondered why. I had not ridden trials for 20 years prior to 2011 and I was 50 at the time of retirement and thought I was past it....not! I have even won a gold medal in our local 'C' grade. The others must have had a bad day,but the bike really looks after me, I love it. Cheers TaffE
