Hi, Try Google "Gas Gas Pro Servicing", brought up lots of info for me, video's too. Cheers Taff
  2. My 07' 125 had a rattle that would drive me crazy, at meetings guys would walk past and comment "sowing machine"?. I googled it and found some 125's are noisy. It did not go away with the clutch pulled in either. New piston etc., new bearings etc. I road it for two years twice a week like that. I thought the noise would go against the bike in a sale, but the bike worked so well the buyer overlooked the rattles. Cheers Taff
  3. Hi, there's plenty of posts to cover this, but what I did was position the master cylinder as high as I could and slowly pump the lever, more like giggling it, after a while small bubbles started to rise, I left it over night like this and did the same next morning and still got small bubbles. I got it cleared in the end but it too a while. Cheers Taff
  4. Mines also on the left. 1- I made the elastic shorter] 2- I could flick the magnet off with my thumb if I had to 3- After the effort I put into staying feet up replacing and removing the magnet is the last of my worries. During last evenings ride I came across my mate lying among rocks in a creak, it did not look to bad until I got closer and saw that his leg along with his boot and rear mudguard had all been dragged up by the rear wheel and was jammed up against the air box area, he could not get himself out, it took two of us to free him. I know he was glad he had a lanyard switch. Cheers Taff
  5. Hi all, I started riding again after 25 years absents 4 years ago at 69 years young, and thought if I get one years riding in before it gets too much I'd be happy. However since that time [beta 250 zero, Sherco 200, and now 2012 Gas Gas 250, I have ridden two days a week, Sundays AM and Thursdays pm, give or take. But we are spoilt for areas to ride. We had to name then so we know where to meet up. Sometimes its the Rocks, or Wheeler's, or Tin can gullies, The quarry, Stubby creek, Kentucky Duck, Flat Rock, and the Sandhill. And one more yet to have a look at. And if we want to drive to two hours there's more. So with so much to choose from its hard to leave alone. Cheers Taff
  6. Yes, I heard warnings given and threats of fives from observers. Taff
  7. At the last world round here in Australia I watched an observer doing what most would think was what the new rules intended. However giving fives to world class riders did not go down to well with riders or minders. I remember he spent a lot of time having discussions about his decisions, even spectators bought into it. But he was consistent. I bet the riders changed there approach to riding his section on subsequent laps. On other sections observer, a lady, scored as she should have and got to have conversations with competitors but stood her ground to the cheers of the crowd. I saw many observers shouting out to riders and minders about their gardening skills. Maybe that's why I cant find any info about the next world round in Australia.
  8. Well done, just thought I'd show the spanner I made up should any one need it, eezy peezy. Cheers Taff
  9. Hi, I got a bolt that had a head the right size about 150mm long and bent it so that the bolt acted like a handle for the bolt head, and that fits into the end of the axle. Holds the axle when tightening too. Cheers Taff
  10. Hi Glynn, if he said the seals always leak I'd be looking for a small scratch or scuff marks on the fork slider....maybe?. Cheers Taff
  11. Hey Fatty, why don't you move to North Queensland. Iv'e been riding here for past 3-4 years and don't seem to get that mud problem. More like mud stains than mud buildup. I suppose little/no rain may help. What about spreading a sheet of thick builders plastic on the lawn then after hosing down the bike drag the mud, with bike removed, to a suitable place to dump it. Cheers Taff
  12. All a bit late now I suppose, but I wonder if the tap "female" screws on to a "male" threaded piece that also goes into the female threaded outlet in the tank, It looks like it on my 2012, but could be wrong. If so then this is the part to change.......maybe. Cheers Taff.
  13. We got a thread sealant type paste called Stag, its in a tube, over here, I used it on a leaking clutch line thread and it worked fine. Cheers Taff
  14. Hi Glenn, pity you are so far away as I have a Fantic shirt [blue] from back in the day in good condition, you could have had it. I'd say it was a small size. Cheers Taff
  15. what goes between drip and seep?" big drip" and/or "little seep"? Cheers Taff
  16. Yep as Steve_ said, that's what I would do too. Cheers Taff
  17. HI Aids, I googled Gas Gas 2012 wiring diagrams and go a host of images to suit different systems came up. One of these I used to fix/rewire my bike. Cheers Taff
  18. Hi Clarky, yep had the same issues with a 125 Sherco '07. I could not find a spark in the field and could just about see it in the darkened workshop. I my case I cleaned up ALL the earth contacts around the bike, I think one was up under the tank on the steering head stem. That fixed it. Cheers Taff
  19. Hi, put your ear down by the carbie, roll on the throttle a bit and let go, you should hear the slide in the carbie hit bottom with a light clunk sound, if you here nothing check the routing of the cable. Make sure the outer cable is not hung up somewhere. If it's not hung up adjust the cable (slacken) until you hear that clunk in the carbie. Cheers Taff
  20. Hmmm, I should have realised that if the screw was stuck firm enough to break in the first place then the slot would also break, glad you got it solved tho. Cheers Taff
  21. HI T T, try heating up the right size flat blade screwdriver and melt a slot in the end, might work?. Take the required precautions re heat in the fuel area tho. Cheers Taff
  22. Welcome Leigh, do a search above, " Sherco clutch sticking" or something like that will get you a whole host of past responses and suggestions. But you'll get some here too, soon. Cheers Taff
  23. Hi Mags, I've been on holidays in Adelaide South Australia for the last month, can't believe I've lost a months riding. My mate back in N Queensland keeps telling me about the rides I've missed and to rub it in sent me photos, must have been about 12 of the guys riding over the New Years break. Must have been 36-38C days We don't have a break just ride earlier in the day 7am for the hot season, but even then stop every 10-15 minutes for a drink. As I said I'm in Adeliade, my son has two bikes, it's as cold as, (summer) most of the time, but we can't ride due to fire bans on all riding areas. Get it while you can I say. Cheers Taff

    Top End Rattle

Hi Pete, I had a Sherco 07 125, new rings new bottom end. Still rattled, ran faultless for the two years I had it, I was told that's the way they are. I got sick of comments like "sewing machine" and traded up. Cheers Taff.
  25. I reworked a plug spanner to be smaller and bolted it (with wing nut) behind the front plate, other tools (multi tool and accessories) are in my camel back. Out of 6-9 riders on a Sunday ride, I'm the only one with any tools or spark plug. It's amazing how much one can get for a spark plug and tool hire when in the bush 2km from the cars.?. Cheers Taff
