  1. Hi, I spent months living with this problem, tried different carbs ect, you name it, got the starting procedure down pat. I tracked the problem down to my right leg, and possibly my age. Standing on a milk crate made things easier but fitting a flywheel weight solved the problem, easy peezy now. Cheers Taff

  6. If all the bikes worked for me, I'd be looking at who provides the best backup/service, a get their brand. Good luck Taff
  7. Hi, I had a 125 Sherco that a previous owner had made into a rocket, seemed like I was always on the back wheel or my backside. I changed jetting, and retarded the ignition and gained better throttle control and it was a dream to ride. Good luck, I'd buy the thing and grow into it, pick your battles to start with. Cheers Taff

    Reiger Shock

Hi, I would imagine that it could be the same as when I bought a TRP and an Olihns Shock there were different models to suit different size bikes and rider specs. Check their web site and see if they list one for you bike. The TRP Shock came with instructions about a minor frame mod, to fit my 125 Sherco. Cheers Taff
  12. Hi, happened to me but I felt slight dragging and found two bolts just starting to hit the swing arm. Took all bolts out and lock tighten them, luckily no repairs needed Cheers Taff

  16. I have found the best way for me is: Right after the trial I spray the whole bike with a good quality "Truck Wash" product, mud and all at 50/50 mix approx. Leave this to soak while I put my gear way. Spray with the garden hose [no high pressure]and no scrubbing or brushing. Leather off the plastics Oil chain. No need for WD 40 as bike comes up like new. Note....I also use the truck wash to get grime off, and keep it off, the glass shower screens best product yet for that job. Cheers Taff

    Atf In A Sherco

Hi all, for what its worth, I ran two refills of ATF through my Pro last year [after getting water in the clutch from the faulty pump]in an effort to get all of the water out. I did this because it was cheep. However I found out that the clutch was too quick for me so I reverted back to good quality transmission oil, as recommended. Just a thought, but if you change the oil more frequently than the manual states [as mentioned above] you would possibly be using more cheep oil for the same period, than others use using recommended oil. So I wonder if the saving is all that great, I suppose it must be. Whatever works, like I said just a thought. Cheers Taff
  18. I found it helpful to go back to the basics, figure 8's, balancing, full lock turns etc.. Once I had achieved all that and confidence, the rest was fun and a lot easier. Cheers Taff
  19. Yep all of the above. I'm amazed at the falls I and the bike can have and no damage. Cheers Taff
  20. I think there is a range of different size plates. I did mine and it's as light as a feather with the right size pack and clutch adjustment. Cheers Taff
  21. Hi, me too after 20 odd years. The basic balance and body positioning I remembered, just had to get the body to do what the brain was thinking quick enough. Just choose your battles carefully to hone the basics. Cheers Taff
  22. Yep Jim Snell, redone my clutch following his guidance, best softest clutch in North Queensland. Cheers Taff
  23. Now that's a great idea Billy, names are good too, I reckon. Cheers Taff
  24. Hi, when first got my 07 125, it had so much go I retuned it a bit. It came with a 200 top end and a flat slide carby. I also fitted a TRP shock...magic. Cheers Taff
  25. Hi, I had a Sherco 125 to which I fitted a TRP (set by the supplier for my bike and my weight) fantastic. Explaining the difference to others was hard it was easier to give them a ride and see their smiles. I sold it to a mate when I updated my ride, and he put it straight on to his 280, with some Spring adjustment only, and was over the moon. I'm 75kg he's 90kg. Now I have a 250 Pro with an Ohlins fitted I love it. Again, giving mates ride a makes then green with envy. I always tried make out I was a good rider, but now they know it's the shock. Cheers Taff
