  1. my '10 evo does the same thing. starts dragging and then heats up quickly... I need to look at the fluid level too i guess.
  2. I'm pretty happy with my 2T eve and really don't like the power delivery or starting issues of my friends (newer) beta 4Ts.... trade it in for the 2T or stick it out and you'll get used to it. I like the extended gas range and how quiet it is (sounds like a sewing machine).

    How Long 2T

i'm on my first beta after never having a LH kick. it makes absolutely no difference to me... I can't imagine someone choosing to 'not' buy a bike just because of that.
  4. remind me not to buy any of your old bikes! haha, looks super fun and now ill be singing that song all day.
  5. yah, that was the first thing i checked... it turned out to be a few things. When we'd loosen the clamps it would go away. then the head was a little bit loose upon inspection as well. went through everything, realigned the tubes, tightened the head a touch and it's 98% better. Only little bit left i can attribute to 'stiction' in the initial stroke. thanks!
  6. this only happens to me with my front brake locked. Not when i put i agains a wall and compress or compress with no brake. its not the head or the rotor... going to check the oil level today, hope that clears it up cuz i'm depressed without my baby!

    Beta Suspension

well, have to add my input here. got a used '10 evo with blown fork seals (leaking oil out of the left fork). got replacement seals from LP and rebuilt last week. All I had for oil was 5wt grosser oil from the local shop so i put factory amount in each. Overall suspension is MUCH better, haven't' bottomed and is a much nicer feel. I didn't' adjust the sag/spring tension on the left fork since it felt ok and i didn't want to change much yet. Also stiffened the sag on the rear and tightened the adjuster there to make it more dampened but didn't' really feel much of a diff in dampening (spring tension was better). Also put a 13t front sprocket on so i can actually use 1st gear sometimes now. It looks to me like the GG rear shock would bolt right on (I had a spare 08 raga shock that i stole a collar from) and are the marzo forks diff diameter? couldn't you just machine the fork clamps to fit? anyhow, love my beta...BRAAPP SZ
  8. wow, getting closer but still needs some more HP i'd say. thanks for the links! http://fxbikes.com/
  9. Well there's nothing else available on the market that has the feel a lot of us are looking for ( a mtn bike with motor). Take any current trials bike: tweak the suspension, add a coupe of teeth up front and you have a very capable woods weapon; uphill or down.
  10. still heavier than a 250xc, what gives? I'd prefer the ossa explorer...
  11. Coming from a mountain biking background (DH and free-riding) a trials bike is much closer to that feeling than a grosser is. Trials bikes are like the ultimate downhill mtn bike IMO...
