So I should keep my opinion to myself? Not gonna happen I'm afraid. (I'm telling you how it is' is not an opinion but a statement.)- Shirty's Comment On Next Yrs Wc
So me and 6000 other "spectators" are a bunch of idiots wasting our time and money at the Belgian round of the WTC. You don't get to define what a spectator sport is, the ones that do enjoy it prove you wrong, and that's all that matters. You're entitled to your opinion, but that's it.- Shirty's Comment On Next Yrs Wc
What were all the people doing at the European Championship in Bilstain last weekend? They seem to have had a good time. It may never be a hugely popular sport, but you're generalizing and projecting a very personal view i.m.o.- Shirty's Comment On Next Yrs Wc
I could say the same about football. 22 guys chasing a ball and with a little luck they might score 1,2,3 or maybe even 4 goals! In 90 minutes 4 goals! And at the slightest hint of an injury the grown man fall, in what seems to be excruciating pain, on the ground. Boooring. But I think some might disagree with me. It's just how you look at it.- European Championship At Bilstain, Belgium 23 & 24 - 8 - 2014

Again, wise words in a soothing voice. It's a pity one can't change the nickname on this forum because I think you can do away with the noob in your name.- Em5.7

You've got your work cut out for the winter months. I see a lot of Montesa stuff, but your nick name is zerorev3rev4, as in Beta. When did it all go wrong?- Em5.7

The Belgian Maxime Mathy rode an EM today at the European Championship in Bilstain. To bad I only caught a glimpse of him riding. I didn't hear him coming He ended up in 5th place in the "Inter" category- How To Make A Txt Engine Quieter?
I've used pop nuts at work on other stuff, should be no problem, but make sure you pop them tight enough or the nut might rotate after some use. Also, take in to account that the holes in the cover must be larger so the cover fits tightly on the exhaust. (After popping a nut there's a small protruding flange on the outside)- Em5.7
And those guys at Montesa recently changed the 4RT so he wouldn't have so much engine braking power. And all that was needed was the pilot to adapt to this. Then again, most 4RT riders adapted to the engine brake with no problem.- How To Make A Txt Engine Quieter?

For those idiots from IS: GET OVER IT! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1H-Y7MAASkg- Which Glove Should Go On First?
you asked for it, so here it is! Right glove first because I'm right handed. Because it's easier with my right gloved hand to put the left glove on than vice versa. Boots don't matter because I put them on before the gloves, same for the helmet. But here's a more important question: Does one shut his mind of before a dangerous jump or not? Or while jumping? Or do I shut my mind off the minute I start my bike and ride on instinct and muscle memory? Hmmm?- Need To Know What Size Socket I Need - Gg Pro R 14

I've got this one on my 350: http://www.francetrialclassic.com/en/ignition/1280-bultaco-trial-electronic-ignition.html Saves a little over one kg in rotating mass: good, fast enough pick-up but not to light to make the engine stall to easily. Saves you the work needed to machine off the crankshaft weights on the clutch side, or to buy the crankshaft weights of a 250.- Any Members In Limousin France?

If it's making a horrible crunching noise AND the forks are notchy when you turn the handle bars, there's a good chance the bearings are worn or got dirt in them. Or the bearings were adjusted to tight when they were installed and the bearing rollers have made small indentations in the baring race surface, resulting in a notchy feeling when turning the handle bars. If the bearings would have been slightly to loose as your good mechanic says, you won't feel much when turning the handle bars, only a light tick when rocking the bike forward and back while applying the front brake.- 2012 Raga
If it's fitted with the Formula brake and clutch levers, make sure they work as they should ( i.e. the pistons don't stick or leak) A little rattle from the engine is normal as long as it stops when the clutch is pulled. Check that the bearings in the steering head rotate nicely, without play and any roughness or "locking" in the middle position. The same (except the "locking" in the middle position) goes for all other bearings: wheels, swing arm and dog bones in the swing arm, although a little up and down play on the swing arm is normal Check the frame for (hair) cracks, especially around the head stock, swingarm and engine mount area. - Shirty's Comment On Next Yrs Wc
