  1. Use a good filter spray like PJ1. Spray it onto a clean filter, work it in and it will go tacky, this will stop fine dust and to some extent water passing through the filter.

    Chain Maintenance

Just power wash the chain when cleaning the bike, if you have a compressor blow the chain dry and then with a small paint brush apply clean car engine oil to the chain. Don't use solvents such as WD40 as this removes all the oil and grease from inside the rollers of the chain.
  4. I don't know about the cheating but I did see certain individuals pushing infront of riders who were sat waiting their turn at the sections. My son and at least ten others had been sat waiting for ten to fifteen minutes when along came two riders who came down the side of the queue and pushed to the front. These people should have more respect for their fellows riders, who may also be pushing for time. You know who you are.

    Brake Help

A Common problem with the Scorpa back brake is that the disk does not come into contact with the whole of the pad surface. After a while it leaves a unworn ridge on both pads. When the brake is applied these two ridges come together preventing the pads from coming into contact with the disk.

    No Spark

Had the same sort of problem with my sons Beta, spoke to Beta UK (John lampkin)they sold me a CDI unit (black box) with the proviso that if it did not fix the problem I could return it no problem. Maybe Beta USA might do the same. By the way it did fix the problem.
