  1. I never got the personally signed letter. But I did have the advantage of having my wristbands hand delivered. And what a fetching colour they are.
  2. what about if Jake was driving the bus?
  3. He seemed to take quite some time to recover and i certainly thought at the time that it may have been an early retirement. However he got on with the job in hand and I was pleased to see him on top of the podium, although it did go to a Steward's enquiry.......... Funnily enough the rider who appealed against the result was lucky himself not to be penalised for a five in section 2, when his handlebar appeared to touch the floor, Tony Bou had done the same thing a few minutes before a recieved a five. I saw Fujigas later on in the paddock, with his lovely daughter, he was all smiles and showed no sign of any pain or discomfort.
  4. I'll be out supporting the big fella in Poland and hopefully celebrating No 100. Come on Doug!!!!
  5. No need to rub it in. Unfortunatley just missed out, but I'm on the reserve list so fingers crossed. Anyway to sort of make up for it, me and some other degenerates are off to Poland to watch the WTC and sink a few schooners of sherry.
  6. The temperature is going to be Scorchio this weekend 33 Saturday, 34 Sunday. Is is obviously very important to take onboard plenty of fluids.
  7. I saw one on top gear and it looked pretty cool and now I've seen one on the road in the UK. Look ideal for taking the bike to trials.
  8. Theres a contingent of Rangers fans in Redcar, where I live, who travel all over the world to watch them, whether is league, cups or friendlies.
  9. I was wondering on the specification of the top riders or indeed any riders motor homes. For example which ones are capable of accomodating 4 extra persons and what is the capacity of the fridge, in litres, or cans.
  10. Andy, your comment on Dougie wanting his title too much was interesting. Perhaps he needs to chill out with a few beers on the Saturday night and join the Trials Central on Tour Party. Beer works for Steve Peat.
  11. 'What I did on my holidays'. It eWhat I did on my summer holiday By Theo Walcott Esq aged 17 1/3 I went to a place called Germany with my Uncle Sven and some other grown up's. It is a country in Europe where a bad man called Adolf used to live with his nazties, he does not live there anymore, Uncle Owen does live there, and the grown up's say I cant talk about the bad man as it will make Uncle Owen cry if I do. In Germany there are lots of castles and some mountains. We are staying in a place called Baden Baden that's a silly name, Uncle Frank has the same name as his dad, that's silly too, his mum must get their underpants mixed up all the time. On the aeroplane Uncle Sol sat next to me, he got me some toffee and wants to be my friend, he works at the place where I do my YTS, so does Uncle Freddy but him and Uncle Sol are not best friends anymore. Uncle Owen met us at the airport, he talks foreign, Uncle Wayne, Uncle Steven and Uncle David also talk funny, my mum says Uncle David talks like Orville, he is a duck, Uncle Sol say's uncle David wears dresses and knickers, and asked me if I had ever worn them. Uncle Sol got me some pop. In Germany the grown ups are going to play football, my grandad says we beat them in the olden days before my mum was born. That is a long time ago. While the grown up's went to play football so I went shopping with Auntie Vicky and some other girls she bought me a big ice cream and got herself a little one but she said she was full before she had eaten any and threw it away. She bought lots of shoes and handbags and let me play with Brooklyn. She say's she used to be in a pop band and sang me one of her songs, I think she was telling fibs. I told Uncle Sol about my day out with Vicky and he sulked, then he bought me an even bigger ice cream with lots of hundred's & thousands on it. All the other grown up's have a girlfriend except Uncle Sol so he plays with me while they go out. Uncle Sven says I must keep Uncle Sol happy, that's why I got taken on holiday. The grown up's went to play Football against somebody called Sweden, Uncle Sol was crying as Uncle Freddy played for them and would not talk to him. Uncle Sol bought me lots of toffee today and some crisps. Uncle Sven is from Sweden and I heard him on the phone to their boss last night. Uncle Michael hurt his knee and had to go home to his mum for a plaster. Uncle Peter is a giant, a proper giant like you see in books, he is rubbish at football though. Uncle Wayne had a sore toe at the start of out holiday but it got better so they let him play football. Uncle Sol got me a present but I do not like it. He says all Germans wear leather underpants and I should while we are here, they are too tight for me. All the grown up's started to call Uncle Wayne a potato head who stood on somebodys spuds. He got shouted at by the referee. They are all saying that we have to go home now. Uncle Sol was crying again and I had to sit on his knee to make him stop. He had his mobile phone in his pocket, I think.
  12. I cant wait until your crappy team comes to Ibrox this pre season. hope youll be there cota kid. see a quality stadium quality support and hopefully a quality team......................... S.M. I've been to plenty of quality stadiums, PSV Eindoven's for the UEFA Cup Final to name but one, not bad for a crappy team. I've never been one for pre season friendlies so I won't be visiting Ibrox.
  13. Tell us a sport your good at and I'll support Scotland. Bytheway drinking is not a recognised sport.
  14. The once mighty Tartan army, probably all about 60 years old and still talking about Archie Gemmils goal in Argentina in 1978, over a bottle of buckfast and a deep fried mars bar. I think the Scots have forgetten how to support their football team and instead resort to supporting anyone against the English. I wonder how many Scots when celebrating England's defeat by Portugal actually released how sad they had become as a footballing nation. The English fans have also been declared not hooligans anymore, The football banning orders will have had a small affect on that but Scotland itself is not exactly free of football violence is it?
  15. The majority of us (barring the odd muppet), the problem isn't with the England football team or the English people, it's the English Media. It's hyped up beyond all belief and, as we share the same media, rammed down our throats left, right and centre. We're Scottish and we admit we're crap at football. On the odd occasion we do qualify, it's just an excuse to go down the pub with our mates to watch the game. We know we haven't a snowball's chance in hell of winning. You lot actually get sucked in by the media hype and BELIEVE. Sooner you admit to yourselves that your team perhaps isn't quite as good as the press would have you believe, the easier it will be to come to terms with losing. You have to believe your team, whether it is football or any other sport, is going to win and be passionate about it. Even if logic tells you otherwise. Life would be boring if we just thought lets cheer England onto a quarter final defeat, half the fun is thinking, ' Yes we are going to win the World Cup'. Okay your dreams are smashed but at least you had them. Football is over hyped by the media, but I don't recall that the media honestly though we would do much better than what we actually did. The thing is if Scotland had been playing in the quarters a great number of English people would have genuinely supported them.
  16. England's World Cup defeat is but a sad memory. Its time to look forward to a trip to Myslenice for the Polish Round of the WTC. Again its a hardcore support of Smoggies. Myself, DJ Denzil and 2 others. But I wondered if anyone else is making the trip. I had been strongly advised that Poland is one of the rounds well worth a visit.
  17. A girl at work was in Edinburgh for the weekend. One pub was full of English watching the match and another Irish pub she went into was full of Irish supporting England. I think half the problem is plain old jealously. There was a big World Cup party out in Germany and Scotland weren't invited, as it was for the World's best footy teams. As regards Andy Murray, I suppose he will return to being British now he's blown Wimbledon. At least England got to the quarter finals.
  18. Football is a long way from being perfect. But what other sport would take a support of up to 85,000, the vast majority of whom did not have tickets, to a foreign country to watch and cheer their team on.
  19. What a great World Cup it must have been in Scotland. Supporting Portugal must almost have been like supporting Scotland if they had managed to qualify. It must be fantastic to be from a nation whose greatest footballing moments consist of watching England getting beaten on penalties. A nation with a BIG deep fried chip on its shoulder.
  20. Could be a week in Eastern Europe and do Poland and the Czech Republic.
  21. England have been dissapointing from start to finish in the World Cup, but Sven is the greatest at fault. It was only when down to 10 men and not confined to the shackles of the 4-1-4-1 formation that England looked like playing to their potential. Good riddance to Sven who leaves with a nice
  22. Well Argentina didn't exactly take their losing out the Germany on penalties very well did they? Resorting to throwing tins of corned beef at the Germans. For some strange reason I have been wanting Germany to do well in this tournament, but not as well as England and think its because the media were saying they are the worst host nation for years and a poor team. You just wouldn't bet against Germany taking penalties against anyone. Hopefully England will get past Big Phil and Portugal, Brazil or France and beat Germany in the final.
  23. Then again he is doing a lot better than the pride of middle Engerland Tim henman! Hate Tennis - ladies tennis I can watch but have noticed Murray is proud to show his nationality so good luck to him! Wonder whn the commentators will change from Murray being Scottish to British (which he is) or even worse as normal happens English. I don't think of Timmo has the pride of middle England, but I wonder if Murray will better his 3 semi finals? I'm not a tennis fan but I hope so, as he does play for GB. As does Dougie who also represents GB but is from Engerland. Whats the attraction with ladies tennis? I much prefer womens beach volley ball.
  24. To put this amazing and incredible achievement into perspective. Fujigas has 24 victories to his name and Raga 18. Only Montesa has more wins on 107.
  25. Doug's victory in France was, amazingly, his 99th world round victory. Now that surely must be a huge incentive, not that he really needs one, to reach this Century, not out and going strong. Go on Doug!!!!!
