  1. Don't forget the sign on the fence. 'Don't feed the animals'.
  2. To buy an Englerland shirt and therefore greatly assist your chance of getting out the pub alive in the event of England getting beat by T & T.
  3. Has anyone seen the latest Viz with free World Cup poster. One side has the flag on Saint George and written on it 'I'm not a racist, I'd just like England to win'. The other side has the cross of Saint Andrew and 'Come on whoever's playing against England'.
  4. Doug didn't have to renew his contract with Montesa HRC but choose to. Doug is past is prime, but his prime was so ahead of any other trials rider that even now he is still a serious challenger for the WTC and long may this continue.
  5. There isn't a dominant rider in WTC trials anymore. As you so rightly said Lampkin used to dominant the WTC almost winning every round, this was the same indoors. His record number of indoor winsin a season, remains unbeaten even by Raga. I honestly beleive and hope, that Doug has another crown left in him. His riding this year as proven he is still a contender.
  6. Could you confirm where Doug and Fujigas made these statements? I have personally watched the 4RT get up the biggest rock steps a WTC can throw at them. The 4RT has different power characteristics to the 2 strokes but it is not inferior.
  7. No one has mentioned the scenario of Raga on a 4RT. He only signed a one year deal with Gas Gas. Raga would be remembered a lot longer if he switched to 4 stroke and then won the WTC against the established 4 stroke riders. That would say a lot more about his ability than riding the proven bike he is used to against riders on relativley new machines. Regardless of the fact Raga is leading the WTC in my opinion he is struggling.
  8. Andy, I forgot to add a Mr A Raga onto my list of attendees. He doesn't know yet but he's going and he will be challenging all in the Yard of Ale race.
  9. I'm sure their will be a few twists and turns (pardon the pun) between now and the last round. Raga is in pole position but he will not have it all his way.
  10. A damn sight longer than their 4 stroke.
  11. Manufacturers Championship up to and including Japan. Gas Gas 173 Montesa 168 Beta 133 Sherco 83 Scorpa 75 Honda 28 Yamaha 6 Still some way behind.
  12. The 2006 Sherco has changed a lot more than Gas Gas have done recently. A few changes in appearance and quality. I don't think the pro has changed much full stop.
  13. Still plenty to play for, seven rounds remaining and plenty of points up for grabs. Raga must be a bit frustrated he's only topped the podium twice, its not what you expect for a reigning World Champion.
  14. Spot 2 would be awesome for most of us, but No.1 is the place for Dougie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fact that Doug is still challenging and is the biggest threat to Raga'a title is one hell of an achievement. Most riders when they loose their title just fade away into the pages of history. Dougie's still writing them. When you look at how many WTC rounds wins riders have had and points and podiums Dougie is light years away!
  15. Whats the worse case of blatant cheating, whether its gardening or anything else, people have witnessed at a WTC round or indeed any other trial. You don't have to name names but it would be a lot more interesting if you did.
  16. If the observer doesn't do anything about it some riders will exploit it. Big foots comments are very interesting and has given me an idea for another topic.
  17. Must be practising for the mini masters.
  18. Whats the comparison with other Northern Nationals? Colonial, Cleveland, Wainwright, White Rose etc
  19. Bigfoot, I'm a bit lost for words on your response and that rarely happens to me. Well done!
  20. PS Welcome to the World of Trials Central.
