  1. love it, looks like fun...i was thinking about a chest set up for my go pro...
  2. if you email me direct, ill give you a owners manual, i have one on PDF.
  3. our club follows the NATC rules, as it makes it easier when we host nationals, scoring, riding ect, i hope your right..
  4. http://www.maximaoil.co.uk/
  5. remove your pipe, have the center section, hot tanked at a radiator shop, and repack the muffler loosly, make sure the rubber O rings are fresh, pack it loos, quiet, and it will rob some power, pack it tight, it will be noisy, and add power.. so the saying goes. Maxima make MTL. im not sure who sells it in the UK, ELf is another choice, use 75w, and avoid using ATF...it will make your clutch sticky. switch to Elf 2 cycle mix, at 75-1 ratio, that will cure your oily muffler issue. drain your radiator, and switch over to Dex-cool, i found it great for magnesium cased pumps, and use it straight, no water, water eats magnesium.
  6. alot of riders dont know how much work, and how hard it is to set a national trial event, let alone a world class event, each class has its guidlines, on how they are set, more to this then, just set the sections to fit the ruling, in reality, the sections wont change, only the rule, {just like the split 5 rule last year} though they enforced the ruling, they didnt set some of the sections to fit the new rule, and many like myself, got a split 5 or 2, some riders protested, and those 5s were dropped, i didnt, as i dont belive in protesting something like that, the next time, i rode the section different, and cleaned it. like i said, more then likely, they will stop, ride the section, get a 5, and they as a group will protest the section saying the section cant be rode safely with out stopping, they will reverse the 5, and move on. you can count on the NATC following with FIMs no stop rule, most local clubs wont follow it, the larger clubs might, if your club has a national event every other year, count on it.
  7. nit picking, ask your local Pro riders if you have any in your club, what they think...they will be riding the crazy stuff. not any of us..i for one did. and lets see. i asked 10 of the ones i know personally...not one thinks its a good idea, out of the 20 or so Expert riders...not one , thinks no stop is a good idea, now. i have a good friend that does a great amount of scoring, and watching...he thinks its a great idea. a few friends all ride twin shockers, and no modern, are ok with the rule..no they dont compete with the NATC, TS line. or will ever ride at the pro level ever. a couple more that dont ride over Int, class. are on the fence, basicly what they said, is, they dont have imput on a rule that wont effect them and really dint understand why they would change it..and i agree. ive seen this before with other clubs iv been in, a couple powers that be, dream up something they think will be great, they dont ask the people that it effects, and in the long run, the people that think its a bad idea, stop showing up and they just start doing something else. with a part of a sport that already a Niche, so to speak, lets chase away more with a new ruling, rather then ask the riders that it will effect first ? i can tell you, when you pass a rule, and make someone follow guidlines they dont want to follow,,,they will stop playing in your game plain and simple, so. if they think this rule will sell Trials motorcycles? after they stop riding trials, and move on to other venues, how is that going to sell your new model?
  8. MTL 75...450CC,s change it often..
  9. i have not met one expert or pro level rider that thinks No Stop is a good idea... only guys that think this is great.,.dont compete {only score}, or ride support, or ride vintage, {AHRMA throw backs} they tried this a few years ago, and the upper class riders stopped, got a 5. and then protested the section.. it will happen the same way again. the video being shown, is great, iv watched...but thats NOT how the champ sections will be set up, i know, and anyone who has trials mastered a modern even knows it. from what i read on FIM, the reasoning behind this was to level the playing field for the riders that havnt won or cant beat top riders... so rather then practicing and riding better...lets change the rules so we can win?? sounds like BS to me. personaly, i ride no stop as much as i can, i dont and wont ever ride above advanced, and most of those lines are set so that no stop is workable, at the expert and champ level...i belive its a big safety issue.. being an EMT at these events, i dread hualling one of these kids off on a back board with a broken Femur... we have no reason to pass a rulling on a class we dont, cant and wont ever compete on...they make it look easy,,,think it is? try it once..
  10. save some more coins, and pick up a late model Rev 3. exellent bike, bullet proof, and a joy to ride,,nothing turns like a Rev, word of advise,..avoid buying old Pro bikes, they were rode hard,,and dropped a lot, even if they were maintained.
  11. i have and compete on a TLR 250 Euro model, on the expert line, yes, i installed a power bomb pipe, looks great, made no more power then before, i use the stock rear shocks, that i rebuilt, ect, they work very well, front forks Honda line, fork oil.ONLY..or youll be sorry, i picked up a set of CRF steel wide pegs off Fleabay, and cut them off the pivot, welded them down and back as far as they would go, im 6"2, and need all the leg room i can get, not much you can do to warm up the 250,s im looking into a CRF piston and hot cam this winter.. i also installed ASV unbreakable levers, and easy pull clutch, and a XR 250 clutch plate set, only TLR springs will work. chainge your oil often. after every meet. twin air filter, and removed the outter filter unless your in heavy sand and dirt. the worst part of the bike is the close gearing all the way up to 6th gear, 6th gear flat out might be 40MPH...down hill, smokin. i live at high alt, as well, and compete at even higher alt, that is a big issue with the bike, use only Honda brake shoes, EBCs are junk and dont work for beans.
  12. Graham is a great guy, exellent rider, and a challenge to compete against, he drove a long way to make that event,,id bet he rides some ITSA stuff next year..
  13. easier to see water in the oil, take a Qtip with you, and dip in in the oil through the filler hole, if its mlky grey , walk away.. to fix the water pump on a techno, is noooo fun. never buy a bike that you cant ride around a bit till its warmed up...and try not buying one in the Dark.. daylight is the best time too buy
  14. thanks a bunch...removing the rear shock was a real joy...not. hoping the rear shock from the Synt im parting out will fit,
  15. how much oil in the front forks of a TR34? cant find any info on them.. thanks . Chuck
  16. make sure the coooling fan works, and if it has lights they work as well, if the fan doesnt work, and the light bulb is burnt, it has a problem. easy fix. but a problem no less, also make sure no oil is in the radiator. water pump fix isnt fun, check that the clutch works well, and doesnt stick after the bike is warm, sticky when cold is normal, look for cacks in the frame,, and swingarm
  17. some Techno rear fenders on Fleabay right now, priced cheap..i have a Synt that im going to part out, some parts will swap out.
  18. i switched to they smooth clutch they offer,, best thing i ever did,
  19. well, its in the works, i laid the basics for the class, im sure they will tweek it a bit, hope its aproved..as far is i feel, its about the riders more then the bikes, set a class, with good guidelines, and let em ride. i agree, with the support lines, they should be challenging, yet safe...however, id like to step the expert line up a notch, after all there is a reason we have EXPERT on that plate..majority of the upper class riders in ITSA ride Advance and expert Modern anyway, the amount of shocks on the back of the bike really doesnt matter much, after all, its only a dab right..
  20. exporer, plonker and trial. may be listed for manuals, if you search the net, you may find some nice down load manuals.
  21. AHRMA pretty much killed vintage trials here by the blinders on rules, and not welling to change and grow as time goes on so to speak, i personally have and enjoy the twin shockers, even the older bikes, have a few championship rides on a KT, as a modern advanced rider, i like a challenging section, safe but make a guy put his foot down if you dont do your job right, i know that ITSA has a chance to bring Classic trials back to life hear, i know its going well on the east coast, in time , i belive it will take off well here in the West, our modern club has been active for well over 30 years, and i know alot of Fantic, Beta, and Yamaha single shockers are sitting un loved and un ridding, im sure it wont be gang busters , but even if it opens up 5 new riders, i think that 5 more then we had before. after being with a club that refused to grow and change, its nice being with a club that just wants to ride. after all, a better bike likely wont keep you feet on the pegs, just help you crash harder, and look better doing so.
  22. hello, i would like some imput on this, im in th U.S. iv proposed a new class to be added for ITSA, in a nut shell, it would make a class for air cooled single shock bikes built before 1990, iv heard that some of the Euro clubs havd been doing this with good results, without getting to deap in how i set the class, i would like to know who well it worked, and if any what were the problems, so i can adjust the guidelines for the class, and present it to the powers that be. mind you, no new sections ect, this will just bring these bikes off the trail, and out of the Garage, and let them be played with again like they should be, and keep them from being cut into twin shockers. thanks for the imput.
  23. i picked this bike up pretty cheap, was planning on rebuilding it, but learned..never buy an ex pros bike, they see hard use.
