It was my first visit to hawkstone and i was not disappointed with the trials and all the events were great! there isn't many world champian ship sport events you can get that close, i was only inches from the main man (dougie of coarse) himself. great fun climbing up those banks and trees trying to get the best view. i was shocked at what those guys can do, you would never think it was possible till you see it yourself. i will be trying to go to more rounds in the future (loved it). my only pointer if i may aim this at all the traders who did't turn up, come next year we all would be greatful as i thought the turn out of traders was not that good. when people come to these events they like to buy stuff as well as watch the trials (you may even like it) angus....
-
AS WE ALL KNOW IT'S HAWKSTONE THIS MONTH AND IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME I WILL BE ABLE TO GO ( NO WORK THIS YEAR THANK GOD ) THE ONLY TROUBLE IS I CAN'T GO BOTH DAYS. SO I WAS WONDERING WHICH DAY IS BEST? SO IF ANYONE CAN LET ME KNOW I WOULD BE GRATEFUL. MANY THANKS ANGUS.

why the need to check the level of your oil? unless you have a puddle on the garage floor. what you need to do is just change it as often as you can, every couple of outings is a good guide but thats up to you. you can change it every time, but not really any need. just remember to use agood quality oil i use pj1 75w light gear oil, it seems to suit my bike and i,ve had no problems with clutch drag since using it. glad you chose the sy you have made a great choice and i hope you enjoy .angus...

loads of choice out there m8 i would plum for a scorpa (sy) every time, never let you down, easy to ride & maintain, loads of power best by far buts thats my opinion just try one before you part with your hard earned cash!!!
-
pj1 75w fully synthetic all the way m8 you can't go wrong stops that clutch slip you might be getting.
-
thank you for your replies and interest looks like a ty-80 then, just got to find one now, cheers......
-
longer the better if you ask me.........

my boy is bmx mad but i think it's time he had a trials bike. he is 12 now but never rode a motor bike of any discription, what i need is some imput from other trials riders about what bike to get him. i dont want to spend a fortune on a bike as it will only be something for him to learn on and also he may not like it ( you know what kids are like ) so if anyone could give me some advice on what to buy that would be great, something thats easy for him to start, ride and also repair, if he's going to have one he has to learn to service and repair it too......many thanks.
-
calling all scorpa riders has any one got a workshop manual for a sy 250 racing 2003 that they could sell me as my bike was bought with a bad photo copy . hope you lot can help..... cheers.....angus.
-
can anyone out there tell me when the next indoor trials is on the box, now big brother is over i've got nothing to watch (not).....
-
like i said it's up to you and what ever suits your bike. i was told at the time i was running to rich of a mixture but i tried most oils and all different mixtures and the bike ran best at 40 to 1, thats all i can say really. as with most things every bike is different i own a 2003 sy 250 and so does my brother the bikes are the same but we run on different oil and mixture. if the cap fits and all that!!!!
-
firsty i must say good choice you will never look back buying a scorpa they are great bikes and super reliable, i would never buy anything else (thats my personal choice so no angery gasser riders shouting please) you can put what you like in your bike thats your choice personally i use castrol TT-S 2 stroke oil (fully synthetic) and pj1 light gear oil 75w in the engine/gearbox. i have been running on these oils for quite a while and never had any problems. what i would suggest is you try them for a while and see how you go, you will need to drop the oil from the engine change it for new, run for 3 to 4 hours then drop it again and change for new, this will get rid of any of the old oil on the clucth plates. i find my scorpa runs best on this oil and it got rid of the clutch slip that i use to get.hope this info is some help to you it might not be right for everyone and some people might disagree with me but it works for me .......angus. p.s. forgot to say oil to fuel mixture is 2.5% which is 40 to 1.
-
can't beleive anyone could be so stupid it's bad enough out there finding somewhere to ride as it, without things like this happening. do these people have a brain or even a bit of common sense? just makes you so mad that you would string the idiots up yourself.....angus.
