Advice Needed Please - Reliable Budget Bike For A Returning Wobbler
I have owned a 315r and they are a great bike far more reliable than the Beta. If you are wanting the bike to last you and be reliable the 315r is the way to go. Its better made than some bikes today.

Any Updates From The Trs Owners
Thanks for the reply's is the 2016 model the same for the 2017 model. I have to admit it is a very very nice bike to ride very smooth and a lot of power and it was only the 250cc i test rode. The clutch is excellent it is very light and the suspension is good. Another great thing was no vibrations due to the double ignition system. The only thing that would put me of buying one would be the fuel tank. The first batch of bikes had problems with the fuel tanks splitting i did notice the fuel tanks are very squishy.

Fan Motor
Hi my 2011 Sherco 290 fan is screaming like crazy at the minute does anyone know where I could get a motor for it, as my dealer is quoting me £30. I was also wondering if any of you could tell me weather I would have to take the whole radiator out or not to do this. As I took the rubber cap of the back of the fan which wasn't glued and I can see the motor which has got two wires connected to it. If I disconnect the wires should the motor just slide out. Any advice would be appreciated as I have never done this before. Many thanks Dw

Any Updates From The Trs Owners
I have heard of a few problems people where having but it was only the first batch and they where fixed afterwards. The engine in my opinion looks like its going to be reliable as it isnt high tec. Which in my opinion is a good thing as when you compare it to the vertigo which seems to be having a lot of electrical problems.

Fuel Tank Problems?
You are correct i was on the phone with a dealer of trs and his rider has went through 4 fuel tanks as they keep on splitting but this was the first batch the other batches now have a stronger fuel tank. When Raga's bike caught on fire it was because someone didn't screw the cap on correctly and fuel came out.

2017 Models Released. Opinions?
I have to admit its still the best looking bike there is.

Clutch Probelms
I took the spark plug out and it was black and there is a burning smell coming from the end of the spark plug so the fuel is too rich.

Clutch Probelms
Basically when i select gear the bike jumps forward and stalls. I think it could be the clutch plates all bikes have this problem when they are cold, but it shouldn't be doing this just after i have been riding the bike

Clutch Probelms
Hi all i am having problems with my 2011 sherco 290 Just got the bike back a day ago from my local dealer as the my bike needed a new seal kit in the rear brake and the bike is running terrible. I have contacted the dealer but i cannot get the bike up to him due to my car breaking down. The problem is when i start the bike and put my clutch in and select gear the bike jumps forwards and conks out on me. I know when the bike is cold the clutch plates stick together but even after riding it for a while it still does it making it near impossible to get the bike to move. The second problem is the bike always seems to be trying to cut out on me when i am riding. Even when warmed up it still does it. The third problem is the radiator on the first day it was running but on the second day i don't think it was as the engine felt very warm and i left the bike at tick over for ten minuted and the engine was roasting and no fan was running. So i let the bike cool and started it again after i changed the air filter and changed the gear box oil and rode it around the garden for a couple of minutes then straight afterwards i checked the radiator to see how much antifreeze was in it. I opened the cap and it was boiling. Is this normal and the carb was also cleaned out less than a week ago. The fourth problem is there is a noise coming from the bike every time i try to rev it as if it was struggling to rev Problems which might be causing this could be the fuel pump and the idle but i am not sure on how to check this.Any advice would be appreciated as with this bike it seems to be one problem after another. Many thanks Dw

Power
It was just i was noticing none of the grade A riders were riding 4 strokes all of them were riding 2 stroke bikes. Dont get me wrong there are more montesa's than any other make of bike but they where all grade c and D who were riding them. This would also make since why everyone wants a 300 montesa instead of a 260. But the problem is the cota rr isnt even a full 300 (289) and not many people can afford £8000 on a bike.

Power
hi I have been going to a lot of trials lately and i have been noticing there isn't really any grade A or B riders riding a 4rt. I was talking to one grade A rider who was selling his 2015 repsol and he said coming from a 290 GAS GAS with the vertex top end to a 260 there is less power. He also said he was having to rev it like crazy to get it to go up anything steep. Do you's think a montesa 4rt 260 would be plenty of power for a grade B or grade A rider. When I rode the 2015 repsol there was an extreme amount of torque of it which i thought would have gave grade A and B riders an advantage. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

But its alright most people think they are riding the standard bike with a few mods. Looking at toni bike bigger radiator, bigger engine a lot of trick bits. Why is it required? For example i heard a rumour that the montesa some times over heat so is it required to have a bigger radiator.

Reliability
That is a good idea so it protects your engine better. The one thing that surprised me the most was the build quality especially the frame very well made. In the pictures the bike doesn't look well made but the images don't do the bike justice. The suspension is also very easy to work at as there is a lot of space not compared to my sherco where there is hardly any room.

Reliability
They do look a good job looking forward to my test ride but did any of yous see the suspension snap on the trs when Adam Raga was riding it at tong

Reliability
Has anyone had any issues with there trs. As i am considering getting one I have booked a test ride on a 250 (the only size they have) on saturday. They look a good bike but i am a bit put of getting one because of the bikes reliability. I know they went through the scottish trials which is good. But I am worried about buying one and its going to let me down before a trial. I dont want to spend all day working at it and its going to end up costing me a fortune. Its a new bike like the vertigo people seem to say its unproven but im not sure. Any opinions or advise would be appreciated. Oh and I would be keeping the bike for a couple of years. Many thanks dw
