Said it before and ill say it again , dont understand how someone can lay claim to miles and miles of desolate moorland and hillside, I fully understand about land management and conservation etc. but if you ride respectfully and carefully whats the harm. I stay in Fort William, Corpach to be exact with miles of moor and hill behind me and the young fella (who does ask to ride ,and does with courtesy) can still get Grief from faceless authority. If we have a problem with land /wild life abuse lets target the scum who do it and Irealise it all a question of degree but common sense must be allowed to prevail, Rabbies reply will probably apply to Scotland as well and it scares me witless (if not there already).
Needless to say , these views are mine and no one elses in fear of reprisal!!
P.S. A mate had the right idea , lets get the broadswords and claymores out of the loft and get the land back!
84% of Scotland owned by7% of the people, rant over!

All this and 21 as well Well done the pair of you and congrats to Sandra for putting up with youse!!

Hugh Adams in Ayr was the main parts supplier, you cant get electric components cdi's etc and as far as i know there is no manual. I bought one for my daughter with a rebuilt motor but duff cdi then found out about parts,Dooh!! so ive ripped out the engine and put a honda cg motor in with a lot of huffing and puffing and it is now a stonking little bike that answers the throttle really well . Next move is a disc front end if Ican get one.
If any one needs an rtx motor drop me a line

Well done Sandra ,after this years event thoroughly deserved. Doss's burger van next year
-
Sound Dave, hope the championship round at Alvie is as good and as well organised

As manager of the L.d.m.cc I would just like to point out that we dont (didnt) all share TECHNOS point of view as no one has a divine right to win. The Inverness youth were exceptional on the day as were Lochaber but the best team shaded it (8marks) so very well done to them. What does bother me is the Implication that I some how poached I quote :- one of their best riders, Iasked Andrew if he was riding in the event at the Grace Dignan and hed heard nothing. Ten days before Alvie I again phoned Andrew and hed still heard nothing and as Lochaber is short of A class schoolboys asked if he would ride as a guest If as it seems ,this was a problem why wasnt I contacted in my role as team manager. I assumed ,wrongly it seems, that the youngster would be better riding for us as a friend of my sons than possibly not riding at all. Again well done lads, and well done to Andrew best individual youth score on the day .
The lack of Lochaber teams has been highlighted and Im sure well be back with a bang at a cracking trial next year!! Ill phone Gaz myself to make sure he knows!

You sir are really going to have to climb out your pram and pick up the dummy , what are you really trying to say, whats youre point ? at the moment it seems like you feel its you against the rest of the world.
As for Garry riding nationals or club trials more power to him that he can be bothered, we had a club trial a short time ago and Garry and Roger gave what seemed like a masterclass , messing about at the end of the trial they had all the kids (and adults) over watching for the best part of an hour, now if my son cant learn something from watching these boys he'll never learn, which, in my opinion makes it worth while that " A world class rider can be bothered piddling about in the kail". A final point , if our Scottish champion is to be the best , he has to aspire to beat the best and from what ive seen this year some experts are getting closer. Rant over.

Cheers Gaff, ill give them a try.

CAN ANYONE HELP OUT WITH A SUPPLIER OR DOES ANYONE HAVE A SECONDHAND REAR MUDGUARD AND SIDE PANELS FOR MY DAUGHTERS RTX 125 ANY COLOUR, THANKS.
-
Good luck this weekend Garry, are you taking Alastair with you or are his feet sore after the walk on Saturday?!!!.Really hard lines on both of you last week but it will come right.

This is a situation that has only just come to light and no one i know would knowingly jepordise an area we regularly use for practice and trials. believe it or not land to practice on up here is extremely hard to get hold off and this incident with the souped up pidgeon is the first we knew about it as we have the good will of the (tenant)farmer to ride. What really ticks me of is that this bird is in an area frequented by foxes ,badgers and other predators(man) but now after years of us riding there it now has become a problem, as i see it now the biggest problem is that the powers that be have advertised the fact a rare hawk is nesting there and is now a prime target for egg thieves.Wonderboy is right the pic was taken last year ,my son is responsible and is one of the people who helped find the new sections ,but myself and quite a few others are begining to resent being classed as some sort of second class citizen because their chosen sport involves an engine. RANT OVER.
-
Took a run up the hill at Annat yesterday to have a look at the burn where the new sections will hopefully be, jeez is that hill slippy!! just hope it doesnt rain much. The burn itself is a cracker with sections along its entire length at the top. BIG solid rock steps are the order of the day . Attached a photo of the boy giving one a shot , Fort William in the background gives an idea of how high up you are!!.
-
All the best weeman, hope the hands not to bad and the miracle recovery happens, If not theres always next year! (not a lot of consolation)
-
cheers nigel ,you wouldnt have a contact number or address would you.
-
Does any one know if the rear shock on a 03 sherco is rebuildable as petes is making a strange squishy noise on rebound but is still damping. suspect power washing caused the problem. if it comes down to it and a new one is needed will the 04 fit ,heard its longer but a better shock. cheers lads.

Well done to Graham Finnie and Kevin Dignan and all their helpers in Skye on Sunday on what had to be the worst trials weather in years. It was hard lines on the organisers and if the weather had even slowed to a monsson the day ,im sure , would have been 100% successful. As it was there was a high attrition rate and huge credit must go to all who finished especially the A,B,&C class schoolboys. Well done as well to all Lochaber riders and parents and congrats to all award winners. Keep it going I.O.S.MMC but lets have the next one in the winter it might be drier
-
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE LOCHABER BOYS RIDING ,NICE TO SEE THE CLUB WELL REPRESENTED
-
Yep , in a long wheel base trooper if you fold down one half of the back seat ,for this reason ive just got one in case its just myself and the boy that head off.Im much to good to him!
-
I'll dig out the sword and fight them for it John. Its not bikes that have left a scaron the hill!!!
-
One here for Ishy, this is my back garden with man made section
Photo of my mate john at the trig point on the top of Ben Nevis

-
Only 2.5 hours from Fort William!!!
-
Try a 125 boys it might surprise you , think im right in saying Ishy had a great ride in the Scotish on one Believe it was a SHERCO but could be wrong ,have been before!
-
Not a moan mate merely expressing a thought,"think", I agree with you though ,it cant be easy to talk about the same section ridden by a different rider 7 times and Martin did well, Wayne is down to personal tastes in humor. and as someone else has said will a Spanish commentator be so kind to brits out there! (discussion point Physco not a moan). Well done to all though from helpers through to riders ,world class event with the right result.
-
CHRIS , HAVE A WORD WITH PETE, HE DID A FEW LAST YEAR AND WANTS TO DO MOST THIS YEAR.
