  1. Is it possible the timings altered a bit by partial shearing of the woodruff key, maybe enough to make a difference!
  2. Just a wee note to reiterate that seperate routes will be run for "c" &"D" licence riders at the Invaders and a minder will be allowed who should sign on as the responsible person. Get your entries in as times getting short, regs can be found on Trials central under Lochaber invaders trial. Hope to see plenty "keyring" bikes there.
  3. After last years SACU awards I think there could be an opening for you and Mose as a double act John, maybe the new Ant & Dec
  4. Curry!! there was fresh strawberries, pancakes nan bread , pitta bread boiled rice and curry topped off with a nice cup of tea That guy and his friends new how to do it, nearly missed the boy riding forest gate watching the culinary delight unfolding before my hungry eyes.Having said that I would have settled for one of Andy's bacon butties
  5. ACU have ceased to offer this facility to clubs anymore, nice of them to let us know! Hopefully something in the pipeline shortly. Going to drag the bike out are you Gav.
  6. Cheers Andy, if anyone can tell us whats happened to the ACU mini webs it would be appreciated, maybe Ive just missed something!
  7. Mags and George have done a great job of getting a hard copy of the results to me , ive e-mailed them to Andy in the hope he can do something with them , in the mean time if any ones desperate to see how they did or didnt do e-mail me at:- carmichaelfamily@hotmail.com and ill do my best to get your route results back to you but bear in mind I dont live at the computer and im just of night shift Sorry again for the hastle folks and we are trying to get a new site organised. BJ if as good as IDMCC's well be well happy
  8. Sorry for the delay folks, were doing our best to get them posted just a bit of a software glitch! As some of you may have noticed our website has gone as this is the place results would normally be displayed we can only apologise, the "ACU" must have decided to cut web costs and as they hosted ours it seems we pay part of the cost by being chopped! it came at a bad time the week before the Pollock and was news to us as .FOREWARNED WOULD HAVE BEEN FOREARMED as they say.

Just a note of thanks to all who braved the snow, sleet, hail, sun and rain at Strontian on Sunday . Watch for trials here if you ride in Scotland its some of the best ground around. Results and pics can be viewed at Lochabers miniweb reached through links on the SACU website.
  10. Always next time Kinell!!!!
  11. Exactly my point, give kids someone they can look up to and they will learn and by having a centre of excellence staffed by people who are good for the sport they will come on and just because it says Centre (singular) does not mean it has to be in one place but some where the activity can revolve around, my point in having a roadshow idea visiting different areas. Sandra , delighted to hear its got cheaper, hope it works at all levels!
  12. Believe me I know and appreciate how hard funding is to come by and all credit to yourself and Arthur ,Sandra, for funding the majority of Gaz's success from (I believe ) your own pocket a fact the SACU and the trials fraternity as a whole appreciate , but it doesnt make it right that you should have to do so. Garry is an ambassador for Scottish sport and I apologise for continually siteing his name but as you say if he was based any where else would you need to fill in the forms and wade through red tape. Where does the next Garry , Roger or Gavin come from or do we sit back and hope another parent will take the chance in the way these boys parents have in the hope theyll make it. Yes trials is a quiet sport that didnt/ doesnt warrant media attention but who would have thought 10 years ago indoor would attract the audiences that it does now, so do we as Scottish devotees of the sport sit back and say no one will be interested or do people start knocking on doors and making a nuisance of themselves, Im quite sure Bridgestone would have sat back on their hunkers and sold tyres without offering funding had they not been approached. Any way, great to see debate on Scottish trials on here and John, your Presentation at the SACU awards " Le testicles du chien"
  13. Rather than pay a levy for a book no one reads put it towards training, Local sports councils, sport for all ,sport Scotland, lottery funding , Princes trust and the same people m/x get it off.
  14. Spot on, youve been there and worn the tee shirt. im sure help for Garry when he made the move south would have been appreciated although not neccessarily asked for.
  15. Sorry John , have to disagree with you there , if we dont push our own barrow and stick up for trials by expecting support in the form of schools of excellence who will. the forms of motorcycle sport you mention (some still in their infancy) attract more attention and as a result more sponsor ship which has knock on effects regards training etc. Garry is to be applauded in his role as coach but maybe the way to use him would be at a centres which could be moved about scotland and catering for Scotlands top youth riders when his calendar allows and be sponsored by the SACU to let him do so. This may seem slightly elitest, but if we want ,expect , future riders to compete at the levels Garry , Roger, Gavin etc are capable of riding at ,they have to be coached as natural ability and dedication only take you so far (with extreme case exceptions). As ive said I think trials is regarded as the poor relation but with help and publicity it could be dragged up to mx levels, e.g SSDT Tv coverage. I know its easy for me to sit here and spout off do this , do that but ive seen it with other sport my families involved in , but again credit to the people who can be bothered to do anything to promote our sport ,no matter how small.
  16. Back off the plunger going into the master cylider till its barely moving the piston and take it in half a turn at a time ,bleeding as you go and this should give you a pedal if everything else is ok. Hope this helps , been there!!
  17. NO 5's when they get a swatch of that suit H.B.!!!covers less than my thong. Apologies for going of topic , Im excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. My moneys on motocross only, higher profile etc. you just had to attend the SACU awards this year and listen to the amount of money getting given to the crossers to see trials is the poor relation. "Mettallica":- SAD BUT TRUE!
  19. Cracking trial laid out by Mcgill , results and pics/report on Lochaber web site. Web site can be accessed through SACU homepage and links.
