  1. Further to MartinF's Coke idea: For a while my Dad was restoring vintage tractors in NZ. His first, a Farmall F12, was seized solid after sitting for decades under a Macracapa tree (the vertical exhaust having filled the engine with water). a couple of 2 liter bottles of Coke down the barrel, wait a week, then tow it down the road dumping the clutch in top gear. Hey presto! it freed. Years later it still runs like a dream I don't think he has ever even lifted the head of it to check the condition. Mind you it didn't have transfer ports, and it is a tractor..Err maybe just heat it and hit it as others have suggested. Cheers and good luck
  2. penno350 might have hit the nail on the head. It sounds the float or the the float bowl valve is stuck. When you leave the bike for a while it will slowly fill the bowl back up, but when started the motor will greedily empty the bowl in no time. With the bowl off let the floats drop down and check that there is heaps of fuel pouring through. Good luck
  3. Just caught the Granada Indoor round on Eurosport2. Bou is some guy, I thought he had knocked himself into the middle of the next week. As for the commentary what a load of drivel, I ended up turning the sound down and putting some music on instead. Bring back Jack Burnicle, well informed and lyrical. Cheers
  4. Close. Just tuned in on Sunday at 1300hrs and no trials, just people in baggy trousers sliding down a snow half-pipe on bits of wood. Even though the Sky listings swore it was indoor trials from Granada. Booooo!

  6. Hi there. The following link will take you to the site of a french TY fanatic who has build a TY 525 homage. Photos of the bike with Mick Andrews wobbling round on it etc. http://www.loeil2fred.com/serie/101-Yamaha-XTY-525 Elsewhere on this site are lots of good hi-res shots of TY's and Majestys Cheers Les
  7. Hi there. Is this the kind of thing your thinking of? Honda clone engine in a mini majesty frame. There has been some mention of these on the Yamaha forum in the past. i think yer man John Bliss builds them? They look quite tasty eh I got this photo off the web months ago.

Hi there Pitley. Can I ask where you sourced the WES system? Also does the mid-section on the WES system have mounts for the TY heat shield/grill or will you have to fangle something? My 1981 Godden framed 250 will need a new exhaust as part of its rebuild. I was going to use the Miller header pipe but after reading this thread I think I'll just make my own. Is there any thing special about the WES end can? I thought they look quite bulky so I was hoping to use a smaller one off a 125 or 250 'crosser. Any thoughts/advice? Good luck finishing the project . Can't wait to see some pics Cheers Les
  9. Hi there. From the photos on EBay it looks like one of the Godden framed TY 175/250 frames(Circa 1981-1982) There should be a photo of one if you follow this link and scroll down to post#7: http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....ic=4386&hl= I have a few pictures of other Majestys that I have farmed off the web in the last couple of years that if you want I can email to you. Searching the forums for Majesty can while away the hours and uncover a lot of good info too Cheers Les
