My Ashley was sitting on my bike like just last week, now this!
Where did the time go?
She is taller than me now LOL
**** I am getting old.

Sag is just as vital to a trials bike as it is too any type of bike be it motorized or not. If it has suspension it needs sag.
Why, any bike traveling along does not start necessarily moving the swing arm in the compression direction. if there is a hole in the ground the wheel drops into and the swing arm is opening up causing the shock to extend and there fore it needs be controlled in extension.
The sag also helps take into consideration the riders weight thus where the shock start working from.

Hey Mark...... are you jealous of the sheep? If so that is too baaaaad LOL
Do you know why our kilts don't have zippers on them?
Because we don't want the sheep to hear us as we creep up behind them

Oh ****......... here we go again a good video spoiled by music.
-
Looking forward to the videos. Do yourself a favour DONT PUT A MUSIC TRACK ON THE VIDEO......... PLEASE.
If we want to hear music we can pop in a CD................

Interesting combinations. I run a 10 - 42 I tried a 9 - 42 but first was to slow and second was too fast.
I think for me anyway I have found the "Goldie lock" gearing not too fast and not too slow.
I think the variations in gearing is down to type of terrain, weather, altitude, rider experience.
-
Curious to know what gearing Montesa riders have set up.
Is there a difference in the new 2014 Respol set up compared to the older Montesa's?
Basically what front sprocket and what rear sprocket are you using?
Thanks guys.

You want some tips?
You have been watching too many top level expert videos.
Drop the motocross style, slow down....... It is not a race.....
The things/obstacles you are riding will not be presented to you in a real trial at a beginner
level.
Due to your speed you are banging into rocks on the hills with no unloading or technique.
One can see the back end of the bike kick when you hit an uphill obstacle.
You need to practice riding in a tighter area, not just wide open and dump the clutch and go.
We see you can go very fast in a straight line, BUT can you do a tight figure eight turn?
How about some slow off cambers turns.
Other than that, good enthusiasm, flexibility, and potential.
Nice to see and hear a video that is not drowned out by a music background
-
Yes, the pants have a permanent brown stain in them now LOL
-
From a long time ago in my Scorpa days.
Anybody ever got up an obstacle and thought "oh ****, now what?" How the hell do I get off this obstacle"
Same rock different angle.
If I remember correctly, I fell off..........

Bou and the 12 apostles bikes?
-
Hell no! It was a question out of curiosity. The Repsol is a keeper.
-
Can a S3 flywheel weight still be fitted on the new 2014 Beta Evo Factory.
I am curious to know if this new design takes away a rider/owners ability to add a flywheel weight due to the new design of the mag?
Cheers

A grabby clutch is more down to clutch materials than oils. However one does not have to much of a choice when it comes to clutch materials on stock trials bikes. With that being said
One is forced to experiment with oils.
I swear by this oil and currently use it as my 2014 Montesa Repsol clutch oil.
I agree with Dad02 stay away from ATF..............
Check out Castrol Tri Zone on You Tube on how this oil works well on clutches.

All depends on what bike! There is no mention of what bike you have.
-
You do not kick a 4T you push it through the stroke. A 4T is very easy to push through the stroke.
The 250 Beta 4T is much easier to push through than the 300cc Beta 4T.

A suggestion. Ask your friends not to shout or scream as this will cause you to edit the sound.
I am not quite sure what you are trying to convey in the video, obstacles, wheelies, hill climbing etc
There is a lot of dead video space with your rider just riding off into flat space/ground hidden behind trees, bushes etc .
Most of the video is the rider riding away from the camera. Maybe position your self closer to the obstacle and have your rider come to you????
Other than that great effort and riding. Cheers

Zippy point taken ,BUT if they want pointers it is hard to help if we dont hear the engine, gearing, RPMs, luging etc

This is a very old video of me. No music just my old bones creaking and the bike noises.
-
People view your video to see AND HEAR the bike and rider. If they wanted to hear music they would go play a CD!
-
Why the music..............

Chris, So what you gonna do when your Repsol from Malcolm Smith comes along if you can only get a red sticker?
