  1. Hi Guy's, Hi Andy. Thats a good idea. Regards Charlie.
  2. Hi Guy's My Head is still somewhere else, my body Bu***d , But what I do remember that if nothing else, a "SUPERSTAR" emerged from the shadows at the Classic Trials Show. Not only can he ride a trials bike a bit good. But put a microphone into his hand and he turns into to this Super Rock-star, far better than most of the current or even the past so called pop-stars. If I was anything to do with the rock and pop industry I would sign this guy straight away. He must be worth a mint. His Name *****"Barry Micklethwaite"*****. Thank you so very much, I still cannot believe the talent you have. along with your backing group ****" The Whittons"**** you could go far. Keep on Rocking!!!!!! Thank you Guy's again for a super weekends entertainment. PS Your booked for next year,OK. Regards Charlie.
  3. Hi Guys, I would just like to say a BIG_BIG thank-you to you guys who forced your outfits around the course at The Classic Trials Show. The spectators there (nothing to do with trials) absolutely loved it. and could not believe what they were watching. I do so hope that you guys enjoyed it just as much. And also putting us right on the prize money aspect. [it will be the same next year] Are you coming? Thanks again for putting on such a brilliant spectacle for us. PS, you have to contend with me riding in the class next year. Regards Charlie.
  4. Hi Guy's Hi Gerry. I am so sorry I missed meeting you, and probably passed you by several times, dashing from one place to another (slowly). I should have been contacted by radio but they were mostly damp. I am so glad you met some of the "Stars" at the show. and enjoyed what was there. You must try and get over for the week end next year. for the atmosphere in the evenings was absolutely brilliant, and what away to meet , all of the best people, involved with the Classic Trials scene. Regards Charlie.
  5. Hi Guy's. We Will take any criticism, about the show, But One. God provides the weather, and he was not kind on Saturday but made up for it on Sunday. Two. Autojumblers, let us down badly. And I stick my neck out again. They will not be invited next year. Three, did you really look at the sections? If anyone can Say that the sections were easy, On the competitive route they were not at the Classic Trials Show. The top boys may have made them look easy, but that was just the quality of the riders. Did you really look at Section Three? Anyway Results and a full report will be on the Classic Trials Show web site Later. I might just add that. I would like to thank, All the people that worked all week end tirelessly to put this event on, especially Mick Andrews, Alan Whitton, James Steynor, Ian Marshall,(Who just went ahead and did it ,any job) The Guys from the Leamington Victory Club, without who's help, the trials would not have happened. Colin Dommett for his support all weekend, All the guy's who brought along there show bikes. The list goes on. And finally for now. Just ask any of the riders that took part if they enjoyed the weekend and if they are coming back next year!!! Photos are now up on the Classic Trials Show web site, www.classictrialsshow.com I think you will find they say it all. That will do for now, Regards Charlie.
  6. Hi Guy's Just got back from the pre trial party. And what I will say is, you don't want to miss the one tomorrow evening if that is the standard set. Every one seems pleased with the set up despite the rain 24 hours ago. And the standard of the show bikes that have already arrived is breathtaking. You would be a fool to miss the opportunity to not to come along and see the trials set up of the future. So spoil yourself this weekend, and drop what your doing and get to Stoneleigh Park. PS after tonight Alan Whitton, is now named Elvis the second. Regards Charlie.
  7. Hi Guy's Bill is coming along to the "Classic Trials Show" and bringing with him a load of his best bikes. We Will get an interview with the man about his long career with motorcycles. should be very interesting. Regards Charlie
  8. Hi Guy's, Thanks Mike, Your right with your statement. So Honda boy's vote with your feet, turn up. Regards Charlie.
  9. Hi Guy's OK I am going to stick my neck out, Because of the interest, shown in the Honda class, (yes I know it was really to late to spring this Trials Class on anyone,) and most have other things planed for this weekend, and not the Classic Trials Show. But to the riders that are really keen to come along and ride, and to bring bikes along for the showing class, it would be a shame for them not to come. So the class will run, no matter how many there are in the class, and the best man round the course gets the "CTS Honda Chalenge Cup", and all riders recive a 2010 medal. So If you have a Honda Twinshock, and, now decide you may like to come along and ride, (and there is a easy and a competitive route), we will accept entries on the day for this class. So you turn up by eight thirty, fill in your entry, pay your fee, and join the riders briefing at nine O'Clock. Then enjoy a brilliant days competition. Simples. Regards Charlie.
  10. Hi Guy's, Just had Natalie, Derek Round's daughter e-mail me. She is trying to find the old ex works BSA Victor outfit, that her uncle Ray and father Derek used to ride. The outfit was originally built, by Arthur Pullman, before the Round's took the bike over. So does anyone of you boys know where it is? It is still on the DVLA list, but they will not give any information. I am hoping Derek comes along to the Classic Trials Show at the week end , I have asked him. I will keep you posted. Regards Charlie.
  11. Hi Guy's. Hi Nigel, If you look at the list of invited riders (on the Classic Trials Show site), that Steve is competing against you would not say that. And he is only coming along to ride because we likes the idea of the format of the trials. Are you coming along to the Classic Trials Show, to see if the format works? it should be very entertaining. Regards Charlie.
  12. Hi Guy's Hi Jon, There is entertainment for the smaller children at the show, go-carts, castle, etc and all supervised I might add. And I am sure that there is enough entertainment for your wife and daughter at the show with the different elements, that are going on, I am sure they would like to meet Coronation Streets "Bill Webster" who is judging the show classes. and the way the trials are being run they should be entertaining enough for any one. As a last resort she could go shopping in Coventry, as it is only just up the road, but this could hurt your pocket, don't you think? Regards Charlie.
  13. Hi Guy's, Steve Saunders, has mailed me to say that he will be able to ride at the Classic Trials Show, riding his Triumph on Sunday. So all you fans of Steve better come along to see how he fairs against a very tough opposition. Regards Charlie.
  14. Hi Guy's, The "Classic Trials Show" starts at Nine O'clock, with a riders briefing and a walk through the sections, the Auto jumble will be open, as will the trade stands , and most bikes should be on show by then. We have a very special Ex Works BSA, coming on the Saturday as well> one you will not want to miss. Colin Dommett will interview several guests during both days, and we will try to get photo calls of bikes and riders. More details tomorrow. and a running order of classes ETC. Regards Charlie.
  15. Hi Guy's It looks like the class will go ahead, but we could do with a few more riders, if they can find the time to ride on one, or both days. We are currently trying to find a sponsor to put some money up for this class which would be a bonus, wouldn't it. I would just like to say that all the Honda boys we have contacted have been most helpful, has have the Honda Trials specific web sites. A credit to the sport. Thanks guy's. I will keep you updated. Regards Charlie.
  16. Hi Guy's Thanks Mike for your help. see you at the Classic Trials Show. We need a few more "Honda Trials riders" and the class goes ahead, don't forget the deadline is Monday lunchtime, So come on guy's help me find a few more, Honda's, tel your mates, or beg a ride on there bike. It would be a shame to miss out on this class now, for a couple of entries, and also miss a brilliant trials weekend. Regards Charlie.
  17. Hi Guy's I am not going to get sucked into this one. But what I will say is, it is time to try something NEW. PS Dont forget to come along to the Classic Trials Show. Regards Charlie.
  18. Hi Guy's If you want a ride at the Classic Trials Show, on your Twinshock Honda, Take a look at the Classic Trials ,section. Regards Charlie.
  19. Hi Guys, After being badgered for a couple of months to incorporate Twin-Shocks into the Classic Trials Show by a guy, after discussion with the team we decided to give him a chance, He then turned the idea down. This is what we said. OK, we have a one hour slot in our busy schedule, that we may be able to fit in a one lap, ten section, trials class. So if you can find seven or eight, "Honda riders" to make up this class, to ride both days. (They can be different riders on both days if you wish), I will try and organize the class, the bikes must be twinshocks, and the fee will be the same as the open class,
  20. Hi Guys , Hi Roadrunner, Yes, sure you can just turn up with your auto jumble, and do bring the Ariel along , you may even want to ride it when you see how easy some of the sections are. Not only that but you can also put it in one of the showing classes. But much more than that you can really enjoy a FUN weekend. Ho, and do bring along a mate, and tell anyone you know, that might be interested in the show about it. Look forward to meeting you. Regards Charlie.
  21. Hi Guy's I have just posted the below on several classic trials club, sites. This is your last chance to go for a Medal, as entries are closing this week, for the "Open Trials" at the Classic Trials Show. Any late entries will be charged at twice the entry fee. The Posting. We have several places left for our Open class trial at the show, Just wondered if any of your members would like to ride, every entrant gets a Bronze medal for riding. If you have any one interested let me know and I will deal with there entries. Regards Charlie Prescott
  22. Hi Guy's I thought it was a Kehin 22, I have one on a C15F engined bike , and it is that clean, that you could ride the bike up the side of a house, jetting is straight from the Honda TL185 it was fitted to originally. Regards Charlie.
  23. Hi Guy's Hi Woody, You Only have TWO WEEKs to repair your puncture ,for the Classic Trials Show. Any of you boys going to the BMCA trial, could put the word out for me, any one there is welcome to come along to our trial/show. To compete or just have a good couple of days out. Regards Charlie.
  24. Hi Guy' Wow, did I really write that way back then. Well It was chatting about this incident that set us thinking ,that it would be brilliant to try and recreate this sort of atmosphere at an event, It was then that we came up with the idea of the "Classic Trials Show". It has taken a while as you can see, but it is now going to happen, and if you guy's would like to come along and help recreate this sort of sixties spirit, where all riders were happy, and talked to each other, you are more than welcome. We intend to enjoy ourselves. Regards Charlie.
