  1. Hi Guy's Nice job, on the head steady. But what carb are you fitting? Regards Charlie.
  2. Hi Guy's Hi Andy Lee is back this weekend he will contact you, what a time to go on your Hol's? Thanks guy's for the input we will endeavor to get it right. The list of "Stars" gets bigger by the day, It will be published next week, but there is always room for more to come along. And I am still on the tracks of finding boys to complete some of the works teams. "There's a lot going on". BE THERE. Regards Charlie.
  3. Hi Guy's, Ringing a couple of "Stars" from the past yesterday, It was then that I realised that not everyone has a computer. The boys in question did know about Trials Central though. OK, The problem is, how do I get to people without a computer, to let them know about The Classic Trials Show on the 21/22 of this month? Yes we have press coverage, and a radio add amongst others, posters, etc. But still there are people out there that would love to come along to the show, or even ride in the open classes, or show there bikes, but will not be aware of the show until it is over. (Being the first year). So If you know a friend with a Classic trials bike, or have a past "Star", or even a "legend" from the trials world, living in your street, and you think they may not have heard about the show, where they can meet there friends and competitors from the sixties. Just let them know for me, it would be most appreciated. OH and do come along your self. Any other suggestions welcome. Regards Charlie.
  4. Hi Guy's Pat, has just sent me a few pictures of the finished bike, What a Brilliant job he has done, I can only describe the bike as Gorgeous. You must get along to the "Classic Trials Show" and have a look for yourselves, and get involved with the atmosphere of the week end, and join in the fun. "Theres a lot going on" Regards Charlie.
  5. Hi Guys , We would like a few, if possible, Trials outfit's used in the sixties, to come along to the Classic Trials Show, to go on show, or the owner could even ride it in the Sidecar class if they wish, there would be a prize for a bike that was built and used in the Sixties. One with a Kendall chair would be good , or a BKS. If you have a mate who owns one let me know. Thank's Regards Charlie.
  6. Hi Guy's Thank's to his old boss we found him. Regards Charlie.
  7. Hi Guy's There are now some photographs of the boys riding a couple of the sections that Mick set out for the Classic Trials Show , Just click on the Advert and take a look. Why not enter, or just come along, as the emphasis for the week end is to have FUN and to meet your trials Heroes of the past. Pat Slinn has just sent me pictures of his now rebuilt to 1964 specification BSA C15 trials bike (the one that set the trend) and one of the "Star" bikes at the show. (absolutely stunning) Pat will be there to give us details about the bike, and about his interesting time working at BSA in the comp shop, and the developments that came out of it. along with his rides in the ISDT's Regards Charlie.
  8. Hi, Guys, Now we have several "Pre 68" Trials teams coming along to the Classic Trials Show, (List and information later) But we would love to have Roy along to complete the Triumph team of the time. Do you know how I can contact him? you can PM me if you like, do your best for me lad's. thanks. Regards Charlie.
  9. Hi Guy's Now Alan Whitton, is putting together a very special group of Works DOT and Greeves bikes, and riders, for a demonstration ride and photo session, at the Classic Trials Show. The Dot boy's coming along, reads like a part of the sixties trials history, but we could do with a couple more ex Greeves works riders to take part, and "Jonah" was one for a short while. So do you know where he is, he left a message on a trials web site twelve months ago. Regards Charlie.
  10. Hi Guy's I have been told this morning that entries to the Open classes at the Classic Trials Show, August 21/22, are to close in seven days. So if you want a ride on Saturday, or Sunday, or both, so you can enjoy the evenings entertainment, You Need To Send Your Entries off NOW. If you have a bike lurking in the shed get it out, dust it over and bring it along, you can ride it or put it into one of the show classes. it's YOUR decision. PS Don't forget that there is a
  11. Hi Guy's Any of you boys with Pre 65 Outfits, have just one week to get your entries in for a pop at the
  12. Hi Guy's Hi Gerry. That's Brilliant mate, Look forward to meeting you at the Classic Trials Show, and I'm sure Pat will be pleased to meet you. Regards Charlie.
  13. Hi Guy's Hi Dave, Where did you get Ex-Works,from? Did you mean it came out of the factory? Regards Charlie.
  14. Hi Guy's. Hi Gerry. Come along to the Classic Trials Show at Stoneleigh on August21/22. You can meet Pat there, he is one of our special quest's at the show as is is superb BSA C15, re-built into how it was originally put together by Pat, when working in the BSA experimental and competition department. I look forward to meeting you to. Regards Charlie.
  15. Hi Guy's Hi OTF. I agree totally ,that bikes are built to ride. And I know Pat would love to ride his if he could. What we forget at our age, is that some of us can't ride the bikes we would love to, so just keep involved with them by tinkering. And there is also a group, that I fall into, that can sometimes, kick-start a bike, and ride it, and sometimes can't. So get just as much pleasure, building, and renovating bikes, as riding them. Regards Charlie.
  16. Hi Guys. Hi OTF. Just to explain. Pat is rebuilding his bike to the original specification,to how he first built it in 1964. This is why he wants "Dunlop trials universals". Now you would not go and look at GOV132 , and find modern tyres fitted on her would you? Well you might if they were cheaper!!!!! Pat and his superb BSA C15, are special guests at the Classic Trials Show, so indeed come along and meet them both, there will be more surprises as well I can assure you. Regards Charlie.
  17. Hi Guy's Well all I can say, "The boy did good", then I knew he would. A full report and more pictures to follow. Regards Charlie.
  18. Hi Guy's Hi Jon, Nice looking Ariel. And another back out of the shed. Bring it along to the Classic Trials Show on August 21/22. You can ride it in the Open class, Or/and put the bike into the showing class "How Long Has That Been In The Shed" Prizes for both classes. Watch for more details. Regards Charlie.
  19. Hi Guy's Hi OTF Na, wouldn't let the Boy near (OTF) B40 has she is known, I have the key for the padlock and chain around that bike. Looks like the only sacrificial bike that we can let him near is my first "Otter" C15. and that is going to give me sleepless nights. I was asked to go and photograph the carnage when he visits Mick, but I don't think I could stand watching the bike get damaged. He will probably be "Star" of the show, what ever bike he rides, we don't call him "The Prodigal" without a reason. Regards Charlie.
  20. Hi Guy's That boys got a hell of a lot to learn, and not on one of my Ariels. Are well if he winds anything up, it is usually me. And if he does it on a bike , he will only end up on the floor. Well worth a visit to the Classic Trials Show just to watch that? Regards Charlie.
  21. Hi Guys. Mick Andrews, Is one off the nicest guy's I have ever met, and I have met a few. As you say he has not forgotten his roots and is still as passionate about trials today as he was when he was sixteen. His information is endless on any aspect of trials riding. And his love of old traditional classic machines shows through. That is why he is guiding us in the right direction, for our Trial/Show at Stoneleigh. You can come along and meet the man himself at the show. Regards Charlie.
  22. Hi Guy's The standard army frame has a tie rod that runs from engine to headstock , first mod I do is to fit one to tank rail. to stiffen things up. Regards Charlie.
  23. Hi Guys Check out the BSA "Otter" site, Pictures of OTF'S old bike and carb extentions. Regards Charlie. http://www.bsaotter.com/
  24. Hi Guy's I will Not make a comment, about the shambles. But It was always going to happen, and you know who I blame? Just another nail. Regard Charlie.
