hi all, was my swing arm that snapped. iv had it welded at the cost of a tenner so i cant complain however il keep the new one on order as im not sure if it will snap again some time soon!!

ok i have found what seems to be a live, if i piggyback the loose wire from my fan onto this live is it likely to effect whatever the live wire is going to? as in not give it as much power? or will more power be generated to compensate for the loss??

right, the wire coming from inside the bike are the wires from the stat. the wires going to the left are the wires going to the fan. the yellow wire sticking up is the wire inquestion that iv been told is supposed to be the live, any help?

Hi all, I purchased a Beta Techno 99 a while ago, to find out the fan did not work and the thermostat was f*cked. bought a new stat and replaced it, still no fan, had a look into it and the live wire is, well not connected to anything! its just just loose, but looks like it should go down into the engine with all the other wires, was wondering if theres another live feed i could piggyback it to or any other way of sorting it, when i saw it went down inside the bike i left it as i didnt want to mess it up! any help would be brilliant, cheers Jonny.

Yeah i think il take your advice and take a trip to lampkins tomorrow morning and get some oil and find out how much to put in, im sure i looked a week or two ago and it was black as if to indicate it was full, which slightly worries me, weres all that oil gone!?

hi all, just been cleaning/servicing my 1999 beta techno, and i noticed that under the filler plug for the gearbox oil there is like a clear bolt, i always thought this was like a level indicator, what should i be seeing inside it? as its clear and i can see a white thing inside, should i see oil inside this? as i cant so i just want to make sure my gearbox isnt about to seize!!! any help would be great. Haha yeah should probs do that! erm i clean my air filter with hot water with fairly liquid or something simalar then 'oil' the filter when its dry, should i clean/'empty my carb after every ride? cheers

Hi there i was wondering what sort of checks i should do after/before every ride, i own a 99 techno, at the moment after every ride i wash the bike, degrease the chain ect then re grease it, check water level, spray the engine area in something like dw40, clean the air filter and go round with a spanner/allen keyt checking things are tight, is there anything major im missing that i should be checking? cheers

i would test my old one but the plastic with the two connectors on that sits on the top has snapped off!

Hi all, i need a thermostat for my 99 beta techno, im going to lampkins up the road for one tomorro but are they hard to fit? iv heard that they are easy, that they need sealing in, and that they need setting, which is true? any help would be great! Jonno

Well me and a mate went on to silsden to pick up my first good trials bike, Beta Techno 99 model, 250cc, not had long on it but i LOVE it, feels so nice and smooth, the pics from my phone so not the best, see what you think

Hey people, im currently looking at a fantic section, i dont know what year it is, but i could do with a little info on them, are they silly heavy? what are they like for spares as iv heard its hard to come by them now, any info on the bike and what i should be paying for it, cheers Jonny

if it was between the gas gas or the beta techno of the same year which would you go for?

Im in the market for a relativly cheap bike at the moment, and i keep seeing quite a few of this model of bike for sale, can anyone give me any info on them? are they durable, i understand they will be quite heavy in comparison to modern bikes but are they very heavy? basicly any info/help would be awesome, cheers Jonno.

i ride a very old tr34 at the moment. will it still seem heavy? that would be perfect if i could pick one up at around that price, its just finding one!!

Hi all im Jonny, at the moment i have an old beta, (around 1989) and im wanting to upgrade to something newer, although im on a very tight budget, im not exactly sure how much i have to spend, it would all depend on the bike, but i know its tight! i was thinking along the lines of a Techno? does anyone have any advice or know anyone in my area selling a bike? any help/advice would be awesome.
