  1. Well i was riding a 03' sherco, i sold it and bought an 01 scorpa sy 250 (silver model) and instantly rode better!!!! I was so happy with it i bought an 03' model sy 250 till i part ex'd it for a quad. I'm riding an 04 beta rev3 250 at the moment and if i was going to buy anything else it would be a scorpa or another beta.. I just can't be a***'d with all that airbox cleaning and oil changing with the gassers..
  2. I'm using an 04' rev3 at the moment, a wicked bike to ride!!!! But i loved my 03' scorpa sy!!
  3. I've always bought and liked bigger engines like gasser 270/280s sherco 290s allthough i've had loads of 250s, scorpas, betas, montesas, fantics, etc. but i liked the big motors because on a steep banks you can roll the throttle off and just tickle it on tickover and the extra low down poke stops the stalling nonsense. And it's nice to know that the bike will keep pulling on the big stuff. I can't really comment on 200's as i've never rode one, but my mate has a beta 200 and loves it. I thought i'd give my view because there are good reasons for buying bigger motors too!!!!
  4. I saw a dude riding a chariot(honda c90) at weston beach race 06 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a bike!!
  5. I've been through a load of different trials bikes in the last 12 years, and it's hard to think which was my favourite, whats your favourite bike you've owned???
  6. I can't remember which colour is slow action and which is fast action on the domino throttles??? White - fast Black - slow Or is it the other way round???
  7. It's blue metallic and silver!! The orange and silver was only on the smaller engined bultacos 125cc / 200cc But i'm not sure if there was an 80cc My friends son was partially sponsered by a local trials shop in 2000 and he rode an orange 125!!!
  8. That looks similar to a kawasaki kt!!! Just got to lose that "M"
  9. They are wicked to ride, but turn the petrol tap off when it's not running!!!!! Betas can flood like a beast!!
  10. I've just bought my mates 2000 model bultaco 2.9 he's had it since it was 3 months old, and i know the bloke he bought it from. For the last 4 1/2 years its probably been used a handful of times it's just been sitting in the garage. The only thing thats been changed since new is the rear tyre and rear wheel bearings!!!! Everything else is the same as it left the factory even the grips!! I'd been trying to buy it for years and went out and bought an 04' beta rev3 250 and was on the way home with the beta on the trailer and he phoned me to see if i wanted to buy the bultaco!!!!!!!!!! TYPICAL!!! I could'nt refuse it, it still rides perfect and only needs a bit of tlc to put it back mint. I need to buy - front mudgaurd - his St bernard has chewed the end of it!!! rear mudgaurd - scratched and a small split petrol tap - the lever has come off front brake lever - end snapped off grips - ends ripped headlamp lens - broken, but surround is perfect 1 swingarm sticker missing with these done and a little tlc it'll be mint Well it is the last trials model made with the Bultaco name!!!! Anyone got an original handbook for sale???? or any bits??
  11. I'd like to get hold of that tank!!!!!!!!! or even the bike!!
  12. Well i finished my KT ex-works bike just before christmas, had an hour on it christmas day and then took it to the boxing day trial, the first couple of sections were quite an eye opener and i quickly learnt that it liked to be ridden more agressively and loved the higher revs. On low tick over revs it made the steering quite twitchy, but with a bit more aggresive riding style it rode far better. I've ridden other twinshocks in the past and it rides better than a bultaco and montesa of the same age, and it always starts first kick, even from cold.!!! Even though i havent rode much trials in the last year i only dropped 33 which isn't to bad as been as it's my first proper outing on a twinshock! I think KT's are quite an underated bike and easily as good as the other manufacturers but then again it's whatever you get used to riding.... Its a little bit dirty in the pics because i have'nt cleaned it properly yet since the trial...
  13. I was told by my friend i bought it from, that bob gollner had looked at it and the first few works bikes were red!!! Thats why i did it red! he also told him they didnt have the stripe on the tank and side panels, just the K logo and kawasaki on the tank in white!!!! So i rebuilt it to what info i had.... He was supposed to get hold of some old pics but i have'nt had any yet.
  14. kt works bike I had'nt started the kt since boxing day so i tried it today and it started first kick!!!! What do you think of it??
  15. I'll try and post some in the next couple of days.
  16. I know what you mean, but i don't think things will change until someone gets hurt very badly or killed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you remember tommi ahvala coming of the side of a container on a fantic section in 1996??????? hell of a crash, he was lucky he was ok!
  17. Well i got the kt finished and did the boxing day trial today!!!! Even though i haven't had any time riding trials in the last year i did ok and finished on 33 marks which isn't to bad, the bike ran perfectly all trial, and i had some nice complements about it!! it's a shame my clutch finger was aching for the last 8-9 sections or i would have done a bit better. I was the only kawasaki rider at the event!!
  18. I think you could have loads of fun on that bit of kit!!!!!!!!!
  19. I've nearly finished my KT!!!!!!!!!!!! She's a runner too!
  20. I saw it at stoneleigh! what a sweet little bike!
  21. Cheers, i'll do that when she's finished "hopefully soon"
