Rear Suspension Air Pressure
The valve is for nitrogen recharging only it is not supposed to have air in it the rear shocks on those are well under damped and not up to much really.I used to trail ride one and it's biggest let down was the suspension. I must admit that the rear sus is very soft but it does seem a nice light bike to green lane with Dave

Engine Kill Switch - How To Fit
- 247 Yolks.
Yes there are some marks. The last owner changed every cable and brake shoes etc but failed to change knackered rear wheel bearings! so its having new mains, seals, piston rings etc and be used on/off road when done Dave- 247 Yolks.
Thanks again VC. I must have mis-spelt due to the cracking!!!. Is this a common thing or just a one off as my 348's yokes are fine ? Dave- 247 Yolks.
Just re-building my 349 and i noticed some cracking on the bottom yolks from inner leg holes .There is a set of 247 yolks on ebay but i'm unsure if they will fit a 349 from 1980? cheers Dave- Montesa 349 Wiring.
[Thanks VC, I will give it a go next week. I was going to MOT it as day light only but what the heck , just add lights and it can be used whenever (or stay in the shed) Dave- Montesa 349 Wiring.
Hi guys, does anyone know which is for what on a 1981 349 as i will be adding a lighting kit soon. It has a green , pink and yellow wire but i'm un-sure of which one is for the headlight, horn and brake lights thanks Dave- Suzuki Beamish 1981 250cc Problems
You need a special puller to remove the flywheel with. The pulser box is behind the f/wheel but be careful when removing the mag. Have you tried bump starting it? in about 3rd or 4th gear Dave- Bultaco T250
HI , i borrowed the carb off my 1986 ty 250 mono , TK was cast on the side of the carb and i haven't re-jetted it but i have just go hold of 2 mikuni's for my t250 and my monty 348 so i will have a bit of fun jetting them to suit Dave Also i managed to get a few spokes from just spanish which was great news as i didn't have to buy a complete set Dave- Bultaco T250

Thanks for the pics, my one is close with an ally tank but the engine bottomhalf is un-painted and it has the thru shaft for left or righthand change. Took it out today and it ran a bit 4 strokey until i popped the carb off my ty250 and put it on the sherpa and that done the trick!!!! it just pulled beautifully with a carb change even though i have cleaned out the mk2 anal sorry amal, very torquey lump Dave- Bultaco T250
Hi Tim, yes the other spoke nipples are a bit knackered and i suppose had better look out for a replacement wheel as i hate re-building wheels!!! When i worked in a m/c shop 25 years ago that was my job so i have hated it ever since! Dave- Bultaco T250
Hi guy's, i have been on the dreaded ebay again and got a real nice T250 (1978) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 but 3 of the front wheel spokes are broken so where can i get a few spokes and nipples (10 inch ones ) besides bultacouk.com as they only seem to sell them in sets? Also what colour should the frame on a 198 model should be ? as this one has a nice dark blue colour but i thought it should be black! thanks Dave- 348 Year Of Manufacture Please
Also the rotted rubber strap to hold the seat unit down with Dave- 348 Year Of Manufacture Please
Thats a nice clean bike and i like the sticker saying not for highway use on the tank. Dave- 348 Year Of Manufacture Please
Just had the R/H case off and the inner cover seems OK though there is some scrapings in the metal and the mag area was nice and clean and dry and no play in the R/H main bearing so i think i'm lucky. It seems as though the bike has had lttle use as the last owner had his local sandpit closed 5 years ago and it has stayed in his shed ever since also the tyres still have the grooves in the top of the tread also the side knobbles look virtually new so its never been seriously used (on those tyres at least!!) until this sunday! Dave - 247 Yolks.
