  1. The rear brake on my 02 gave up working at the last trial I rode and I've spent the last few weekends trying to sort it out but I seem to be losing the battle. I've put new pads in, given the calipers a good clean, bled new fluid through. Can't see any signs of leaks or bulges in pipes etc. When on the stand the pedal exerts enough pressure to stop you being able to turn the wheel but thats not enough to lock the wheel or come close to giving me confidence to actually ride the bike in anger! Any help would really be appreciated.

    315 Gearbox Oil

I was told by Sandifords to use Silkolene Pro SRG 75 and have had no probs. Had to remortgage the house though!
  3. Hi Mark I bought a 315r a year ago and experienced the same problem. Mine was really bad on idle but better if you raised the revs slightly. Sandifords recommended using Silkolene Pro SRG 75 oil which helped but eventually I had to just change the clutch plates - not a difficult job. Try either Sandifords or I've been told Havensport (think thats right) do an aftermarket clutch that works well. Good luck with it Nick

Hi Mostar, Not exactly the reply you are after, but(!), hope you could help. My other half has got it into her head she wants to emigrate to NZ and we're really interested in the Nelson area - my only concern - are there many trials happening around there or do you just practice then travel etc??? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Nick
  6. Twin shock thing really worth ago. I bought a fantic 200 at the end of last year and always have such fun on it - also seem to find most people who ride one are more willing to just laugh when it goes wrong - friendly competition if you get me. Might even improve your riding for if/when you feel like getting back on the mono?
  7. Guessed would have to take a hit on wages for a while but just hope it doesn't hurt too badly. What does AFAIK mean??? Sure when you tell me it will be obvious but tried and failed to work it out so far!
  8. I would just really like to thank everyone for taking the time to reply and setting my mind somewhat at rest. I'm an electrician so going to see if my qualifications will be recognised to make it possible financially. Sounds like I'll be spending more time riding and less time drinking so got to be a bonus too! Thanks again everyone, Nick
  9. Her indoors has got it into her pretty head that she fancies emmigrating to New Zealand. My only concern, is there much trials action out there for a useless novice and t/s rider like myself? Has anyone got any info so I can either talk her into or out of the idea? Nick
  10. Hi, I've got a 2002 315r and when I first got it suffered really badly with drag. Tried the silkolene oil and changed it a few times but no real difference. Recently put a new clutch in for a similar aged honda cr250, from memory had to leave out one of each plates. Now works so much better, no drag whatsoever, but finding neutral still a bit of an artform! Hope this helps, Nick
  11. Hi, just looking at at TLR200 myself thats been brought in from Japan with all the electrics, battery etc still on it. How much trouble did you have in getting rf all the extra weight, did you need to replace the battery with anything? Any help really appreciated.
