  1. If anyone was up backcowm today and found a pair ofalmost new trials boots,please contact me on 07846592105.I left them by the side of the car.I rung up backcowm 40 mins after leaving,they said they would have a look,but it looks like somebody has taken them,as they havnt rung back. They belonged to my son who is gutted. If anybody has taken them home for whatever reason,give me a call,i`l come and get them,i wont ask any questions. Thanks,Steve

Does anybody know anything about tubeless valves?,i bought one today from a local(sandifords montesa) dealer,he said it will fit any rim,but theres no way i can get the bloody thing through the hole in the rim.I`ve tried soap,oil etc but no joy.My mate says its the wrong one.Aparrently there is a couple of difrent sorts,threaded ones and non threaded,which is the one that i have been sold.Obviously the part i got was for a mont,my bike is a sherco.Any thoughts ideas gratefully accepted.
  4. Is it possible to change an 03 txt pro 125 into a 200 or even a 250,just by changing the barrell an piston?? Cheers
  5. i would try that,i think the piston only costs a tenner.If its difficult to find neutral,clutch is still dragging slightly.Also make sure that the adjuster screw on the lever lets the piston come out fully,IE, against the circlip,and make sure you have got rid of all the air in the system.Its best to bleed from the clutch end.

My son has the same bike,the clutch rattles on his too,i think you may find its common on the early pros`.Have you looked at the clutch?,i think the problems come from the "fingers" rattling.When pressure is applied at the lever,the fingers are loaded up so they dont rattle as much.I would say ride it and dont worry!! PS.if clutch is dragging slightly,check the piston at the master cylinder,the seals can fail and this can lead to dragging.

    Beta Rev 3 Rattle

    My mate has a rev3 125,which has developed a rattle.We took the barrel off and discovered that the little end was worn and thought that this was causing the propblem. There was also a bit of an area at top of the bore which looked worn,about 10mm from top of bore and about 15mm wide.Not sure what caused this.We replaced the bearing and gudgeon pin and gave it a new set of rings. When the bike was fired up,the rattle was a lot better but still there.When we had the barrel of,we noticed some sideways play in the big end,but no up down play.Could the play be causing the rattle?,or has anybody got any other ideas? Thanks in advance. PS it an 05 model

Had the bike over 2 years now,its never started after just a couple of kicks.I remember upping the pilot jet to the next size from std(not sure what is std now,it was a while ago),but i`ve always been a great believer in a"if it aint broke,dont fix it"attitude .,i dont see the point in playing around with different jets and stuff,(no disrespect to you copmec),all i know is that everything is std,apart from the pilot.The new piston ring thing seemed to make sense to me!!!

I posted this question saturday night,but cant find it anywhwere,must have placed it in wrong forum.Here we go again then.My 04 sherco starts from cold with usually 5 or 6 kicks,and when its warmed up and i leave it stopped longer than 10 mins,i usually have to flick the choke on to get it to start again.A friend suggested changing the piston rings,i just wondered if it would make any difference.The bike runs well,and has all the standard carb settings for uk use.Any views would be much appreciated.   12. ditto again.I`ve used iris without any problems.Now using Regina.Maybe the iris chain at the start of this topic was a cheaper version,prices vary.Dont Iris do a chain that costs more money?and didnt Dougie use Iris?

The nuts would have to be completly loose for it to leak,are you sure the gasket is clean,nothing stuck to it?Is there any damage round that area?,you say the conrod broke,check the area around the crankcase where it meets the barrel,could be cracked or something. Dont know about the sherco`s(even though i own one),but some earlier gassers have a nut to drain the crankcase. good luck!
