does it get any quieter if you pull the clutch and put it in gear?

Now im getting there... what causes the primary gear rattle? cos your right once everything is under load its fine... but once you back off the throttle on a descent it makes a right noise... similar to the clutch rattle but louder

Earplugs...lol.... but seriously they all sound like a bag of nails in neutral with the clutch out...so long as the noise goes when you pull the clutch in you really have nothing to worry about... even my 09 250 done it... just a gasser thing

Hi thanks mark... but sadly dont think its drive train noise.. its from within the engine... gonna have to pull it to bits once i get a flywheel puller

Hi all.. just brought a 06 which is really clean but has a fault... i know the gassers clutches all rattle and when you pull the lever it disappears... well on this one it doesnt... any ideas why??... it goes down by about half.... pull the lever and put it in gear and all is quiet and it pulls really well and all is quiet...... but... there just had to be one didnt there... if you come down a hill and back off the throttle with the clutch out there is only what i can describe as a loud noise that sounds just like the clutch but louder... put the power on at the bottom of the hill and all is quiet again... Help!!! does this one sound familiar to anyone or can someone point me in the right direction... and not to a dealers please thanks

and if you decide to give up i really need a rear wheel for a gasser :-)

now i like that idea just need someone near me now who can weld thanks tried the local metalworkers and they wont weld it cos the wall section is to thin for the depth of weld... worth a try tho

on the gasgas the hub isnt threaded its a nut and bolt job, unfortunatly its elongated what was m8 to nearly a 12mm slot... i did think about drilling out until i seen how much by

my lads 05 125 has "lost" 3 of the bolts out the rear sprocket and 4th one was loose which has elongated the holes that hold the sprocket to the hub, does anyone know of a fix or how much am i lokking at for a new wheel? cheers

im going to do away with my std light/ kill switch cos it only shuts off when it feels like it or with a lot of pushing it, now there is a earthwire already screwed to the top of the light surround/ top yoke is this for the kill switch or is it needed for anything else as i want to pull the existing wires back into the frame and fit a yam style switch http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 also does anyone know which wire on the existing harness is the kill? thanks

does anyone know if the change of pilot jet will clean up the bottom end running on my 05 250, it feels a bit "boggy" but fine once its been revved to clear it?

was just wondering what the differences are between them cos you see loads of pros coming up and only the odd edition model

put atf in it at the weekend and the clutch is completely different now.... sooo much better, im guessing the atf will need changing as often as i would normal oil? thanks all

no drag sounds good to me, no adverse effects from using atf then

was just wondering which is the correct oil to put in the box on these as gas gas list 5w 30 but a lot of people seem to use atf fluid, so which is correct/ better and for what reasons? thanks
