  1. Results of the second round SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP in Les Gunyoles (Barcelona).- Dry and hard wind !!!! 1.- Raga 24 2.- Fujinami 27 3.- Lampkin 36 4.- Cabestany 42 5.- Bou 46 6.- Freixa 50 7.- Pascuet 90 ... 10.- Shaun Morris 128
  2. Here in Spain there are a Spanish Champ. called "Cadete" riders from 14 to 15 years old and with bikes 125 cc. Then Junior, from 15 years old. Then "Senior" when 3 years in Juniors, and finally "Veterans": more than 28 years old. Apart of that for riding events like Santigosa 3 Days in Easter Week, there is no limit. I mean a young rider, about 10-.11 or more he could ride if he would.
  3. Hi Ishy.No I'm not going to Mancha Real this Sunday. The Spanish Veterans (more than 28 years old in Spain),Champs starts next week in Gunyoles (Barcelona). Last year I rode the event in Mancha Real (Jaen), South Spain, and the ground is specially. I mean if dry, no problem, plenty of grip, but if wet it's incredible slippery. So wait for the results cause all the big names will be there riding....so it's a good test for the World Champ.
  4. No, there are 3 diferent routes in Santigosa. He is riding the intermediate course (the same as me) and we were riding together and I can tell that Alex impressed me. He is a realy good rider and with brilliant future. Ah,..,Haslam is riding also very well this event.
  5. Yes Ishy, I'm riding. This is the best trial in Spain and also it's a good training for the SSDT. Tomorrow I'll try to get all the results, but I'm riding nearly Alex Wigg and Haslam and they are riding very well......and also Sam Connor, well recovered and riding a Sherco 2T. I imagine thay we could see some Sherco 4T in the SSDT this year....
  6. Hi Ishy: The 3 Days Santigosa trial results from today (second day) are: Hard Course: 1 Jordi Pascuet Gas-Gas 6 0 6 2 Joan Pons Sherco 10 3 13 3 Sam Connor Sherco 10 5 15 Medium 1 Santi Serra Gas-Gas 3 7 10 2 Alex Wigg Gas-Gas 13 2 15 There are other english riders, but I've not the results today. Joan Pons is riding the Sherco 4T, also Gabriel Reyes and 3 more riders,
  7. Yes in Santigosa 3 Days, today there were 4 Sherco 4T riding. Two in the highest class: Joan Pons - Gabriel Reyes, and two in the intermediate class. The bikes are working well......
  8. Jarvis and Connor will ride the 2T. Joan Pons probably the waited 4 stroke. Not sure, but could be more Sherco 4 stroke riding the SSDT
  9. Absolutely 100 % agree with you Ishy

The routes 2005 are now in the ssdt site www.ssdt.org
  11. Hi g}ys, The same days: 25-26-27 Mars there are in Catalonia-Spain the best trial in Spain: The XXXIV SANTIGOSA 3 DAYS TRIAL It's a bit far from the french event, but well worth it. The venue is in Sant Joan Abadesses (Girona) near the France border, and there was a round of World Champ a few years ago. The website: www.motoclubabadesses.com
  12. Great Munch. So I'll see you there in both events. Look a the bogs, before back marking, cause I usually I'm into them Riding the new 4RT ??

Yes Andy. It's my favourite event and best trial in the World. I can tell you this cause I've tested and rode (par example last year): -Santigosa 3 Days -Cingles 3 Days -Verdon 5 Days (France) -Aveyron 3 Days (France) -Ibiza 2 Days -Valencia 2 Days -Arinsal 2 Days (Andorra).... And the Spanish Vet Champ, Catalonia Champ. etc.etc. Besides, I'm not the only one. In Spain we have a SSDT "fever". Many many people want to ride the event and are in the waiting list, or waiting the riding numbers, the routes, sections. So here we are plenty of "kids at Xmas" when it comes to the SSDT Ah....And ride the SSDT for us is incredible expensive, cause apart from the entry fees and Hotel; we have the ticket plane, rent a car, bike.....and the Spanish licence: 300 euros, plus the International 1 event licence: another 166 euros. Yes 466,00 euros only in licence !!!!!
  14. Cabestany is not riding the SSDT. And in my opinion better Jarvis, Connor or Pons than Cabes for wining the Scottish Six Days Trial.
  15. Munch: Are you riding both events ?????

Thanks Highland Lassie... We are waiting.....
  17. Hi Big John. I should also start training and get fit in time. Ride the Pre-65 and then the SSDT it's a hard work, specially when I'm 46 years old. Yes Peter Remington and friends will borrow me a nice Triumph Cub again. Thanks to them from here. So, Big john, start training cause only 59 days to go !!!!!
  18. Hi Big John. Here in Catalonia we are frozen (about -7 celsius) and with plenty of snow. I imagine that you are better in Scotland and also your Matchless will be ready for the Pre-65 again. Congrats for number 142. See you in Kinlochleven

    What's New

Ok Andy, Thanks for the information. B}t, do you know when the routes and sections available ???
  20. trialero13

    What's New

Yes if true, shame about Lagnaha. It was a great spectator group. But the positive part is also Lagnaha was a dificult and tricky group. So hope the "new" group will be better.... if possible
  21. Just I-ve received the letter of Pre 65 Scottish 2 Days entry. Number 5 and plenty of ilusion to ride again.... Any news about routes, sections ???
  22. The Gas-Gas txt 50 it is a good bike, but in my opinion for start riding trials the Clipic 50 automatic is better. Easy to ride and smaller. My son have one since 6 years old and it's brilliant.

    What's New

Mark T: Absolutely agree with you. It seems imposible but I prefer the Scottish with some rain, cold, snow....than a Scottish hot. It's a pity for Observers and public, but Scottish weather is great, specially if you are riding a tough SSDT

    What's New

I'm also waiting for this year routes and .........new sections ?? Absolutely agree about the problems on the last moor crossing in Laggan Locks. Or put a section on the top (then everybody will take the moor) or leave the moor crossing; I mean everybody by road. Another part that could be problematic is the moor after Annat. Finally, if you like, I'll bring some sunshine for first week of May
