Being on the edge of a big worldwide bust which could last for 2,3 or more years, leave's xispa pretty much dead in the water for now. What the like's of gasgas and co have to do is keep up with moving there bike's development forward until the present xispa model look's 15 years old and the worth of a second hand 15 year old model is,not alot, thats what the buyer of an xispa needs to think about.I would'nt want to pay any more than
-
You know it seem's xispa's Trial bike is already old hat. They could'nt of picked a worse time to come onto the market,to the other manufacture's advantage me think's.
-
Now that was the easy way out Atom
-
HAhahahahaha.
God what dodgy council estate did you park that up at overnight.
-
Exactly.
Self infliction come's to mind, now someone like myself that has avoided the carrot over the last 10 year's now has to find way's of getting around that other's have inflicted on me.
-
Or have we just been spoilt with cheap living for the last 10 years???
-
Oh i see what your saying now,In that case you can safely say non stop is already Dead.
The only real option left for riders that want to ride non stop trials now is get yourself a Twinshock and travel the country to some of the excellent non stop twinshock classic trials going on...You know it makes sence.
-
Bill Pye can help you with this.
-
Let's go to a run of the mill club Trial and say to 70 of the rider's there,The Trial will be all stop and hop today, how many rider's do you think will still be left standing there wanting to ride,i'd say 15 maybe 20 at a push.
I don't think there's a huge number of youngster's coming into trial's able to ride hop,and the one's that can will they carry on when they reach 16.
When you say non stop will eventually disappear thats a worry to me because thats when Trial's Die's unless your one of the few talented that can hop about, then again you won't have club trials because the numbers arn't there to pay the way for them to run, without club Trials,Trials will Die.
-
Hi OTF.
I was one ahead of you OTF Javier told me who you was on the thursday.
Thank's for the good company in the hotel bar, most people avoid the old man like the plague, but then again there not Trials people.
Tell Donna bye from us both,i made a lot of new friend's spanish and British alike that i should have said good bye to,but having to leave early and all i would of cried.
p.s
Tell Donna not to wave to strange men otherwise she'l keep getting the Royal Salute back.hahaha
Im sure we're see you next year.
-
Yes i think you've got me.
Now if i knew i'd be escorted back to London by a nice nurse i would have told everyone my username in spain.
My weekend was a disaster, starting with a punture on saturday coming upto the 4th section changed tube then broke my rear brake lever at section 9,had to ride the rest of the course using a fraction of metal left from the busted brake lever, thing's got a bit hairy down that big steep hill by the viaduct.
I had to throw the towel in sunday because my old man came down with an illness over saturday night,he was in and out the bathroom all night leading me to only having 1 hour's sleep overnight, i knew i was'nt up to a long hard day of trialing so decided to make my way back home in the morning, lesson learnt never share a room with your old man..Thought i'd go for a walk at 3am,another disaster i got pulled up by the police in the hotel car park wanting to know what i was upto.
Even though my weekend was cut short i realy enjoyed the whole experiance,i don't think a trial could be any more Glamorous for a rider of my poor standard,I totaly recommend experiancing robregordo to anyone with a twinshock. As mentioned before there's passion and friendship oozing out of everybody.
Trust me it was a sad drive home for me coming away early.
-
How's Jim, and did John get back ok.
-
So thats what Lee sent you through the post.He had a bucket load of them in the back of he's van at Exmoor,Hacksaw Harris they call em.. i've realy gotta have a word with that chap.
-
Well if the bike was'nt ready for the ssdt then they've made themselve's look a right bunch of *****.
-
Wonder if sherco gave them a love letter?
-
What could be wrong with it,they've been working on it for nearly a year now?
-
I guess what time they have to complete a section can be seen as putting pressure on the rider,in which case that is a skill in trial's,the one that can keep there head in that situation win's.If there was an open ended time limit your have atleast 5 winner's everytime.
-
Lee it sure sounded like an old motocrosser"one to many race's i thought"
Yes spud bill pye would be in scotland, not sure if he stays the week though.
-
Bernie Shreiber's lined up to ride the Robregordo classic Trial in Spain,This month.
-
-
-
Its a shame there's no upto date coverage on the P65 Trial, some of us would have been interested to know what's going on.
Just having end of day result's up would of been a nice touch.
Oh while maybe next year.
-
Hi Lee.
I knew you'd get all wet over spud's fanny.
p.s...
I wish you told me before i rode your bike that you had bolted part's from 3 diffrent models to one bike,i would of then adjusted my riding to riding 3 diffrent models at once. no wonder i crashed.
-
Nice deal.Good to see the old bike's starting to sale for what there worth and not what people think there worth.
I would renew the crankcase seal's just out of routine there going to be hard.
Bloody well done
-
Surely part of Trials riding skill's is about the timing,if there going to sit on the peg's somewhere for anhour before they decide to take off into space that's there problem.
