  1. Used to get an aersol of paint spray inside grip and slide onto bars while still wet. Paint drys and grip sticks to bars
  2. Doesn't help on a broken rear but what I used to do was remove the bolts and use those push in car trim fixings. If you catch the mudguard they tend to pop off rather than breaking the mudguard
  3. Taking teeth of the front sprocket will lower the gearing Taking teeth off the rear will raise the gearing Obviously vice versa will have the opposite effect. One tooth off the front will have more of an effect than one added to the rear I would suggest going one tooth smaller on the front for a couple of reasons 1. Gearbox sprockets are normally cheaper than rears! 2. Front sprocket is normally easier/quicker to change
  4. Sourced and bought one of these a few years ago for a buddy in California. Had a ride on it before I crated up and shipped out, it was awful. Mind you I suppose after being used to the powerband of a 2 stroke it would feel awful. Very, very pretty bike though.
  5. Wasn't sure where to put this link but stumbled across this site http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e..._GB250%26sa%3DG There are 2 pages with a link to the second at the bottom of the first
  6. Chris, I used to be a member of the SCTA when I worked over there (SoCal), came home in 1996 and haven't sat on a trials bike since! Has anyone thought about going through the various clubs membership records say for the last 10 years and see how many ex members are no longer and hitting them up with a mailshot? There must also be a whole bunch of people in the area that used to ride way back when and have an old twin shock bike gathering dust in their garage/shed, how about a class aimed at them at ATA events? Say hello to Dwane Stone, Mark Oldar, John Thompson for me (Pete Thatcher) will you
  7. I used to use plastic car trim fixing thingys. get a size that will push nice and tight into the existing thread.
  8. Simon Cheney rode a monoshock Ossa in a number of North Hants events in the seventies. I remember it well as I rode against him on a Cheney twin shock! Eric also made one with leading link front forks for SImon and if I remember correctly it also featured a Mikuni carb and reed valve setup. Eric's frames were a work of art and handled beatifully.
