  1. I doubt very much he went through a fuel tank a day, thats rubbish Ben.

AG Brown and John Battensby did the week on the tanks they started with, without any disrespect if they arent breaking them then I doubt Cabestany was. Cabs started about 5 mins before me and I never passed him all week, why wasnt he running out of fuel every day ??

I'm sure I read that on here, It was somewhere written throughout the SSDT forum, Could be rubbish as you say really, But I've heard of a lot of other people breaking them a lot, Including Browny.

  2. should have explained it a bit better really, I meant trhe first of new designs always tend to have a lot of problems, As you say like the Evo did at first with the frames/Swingarms cracking, But the Sherco had big problems with the Fuel tanks, & can also remeber hearing about big carburetion problems as well, & also a few other problems. Not saying there a bad bike, They just suffered a few problems, At last years SSDT, Caby went through a fuel tank a day or something like that?

  3. yeah, obviously I can see they are two completely different bikes, maybe I should've asked, is the 2010 the better buy despite obviously being dearer, if actually outside my budget.

    No worries about the confusion.

I've not had much experience with Sherco's, But I honestly wouldn't go for a 2010, they had a fair few problems, Obviously with them being the first of the new design, & now the 2011's are much better & improved, No one wants the 2010's anymore, I've seen so many on ebay for sale, I'd go for an 09, Save yourself some dosh.

  4. Perce, over to you! :rotfl:

Hehe, Another mistake again lol, Something else to have a laugh about though I Suppose! I Should really stick to some other posts!

From going on another trials Website, Looks like someone else hasn't realised!

  5. Of course its Photoshop. Look at the bottom shock mount. It looks like its mounted left of the chain guard (maybe on the chain?) The shock looks like its at a 45 degree angle and linkless. Let's be serious.

The silencer looks totally fake. As does the tank decal and rear fender. Makes no sense using the CRF motor.

It could be some spanish prank as you say, But on the other hand, This is on a very big trials news website, & has a lot of readers Would they really do something like that? To be fair I could see the japs developing something like that, Wouldn't suprise me at all.

  6. I haven't actually ridden the 250, So I can't Really say anything for that, But I have ridden a fair few 300's & are very nice, A few of the lads I know have them & are so smooth, the Power is perfect for a 4T & is just really pleasent to ride, From what I have heard about the 250's the power is quite a bit softer than the 300, But I highly reccomend the 300.

  7. Then they are nt that good an expert. Tony Scarlett Beta looked like new as it approached 1 year old as a few other riders i could mention. I used the word in general.

You see more clubmen novice bikes in sorry states than experts in my opinion.

Like I said before It all depends on who rides it, I no Sam Haslam keeps his bikes Immaculate, Because I had one of his old bikes, But a lot of other experts can trash them pretty easily.

  8. Beta swingarms ain't that much better I've seen a few of them go too

On the 09's maybe, they cracked liked some of the frames did as well,& Beta knew about the problem, But the 2010's are perfectly alright now, Unlike the Gassers which have been the same for years & still people can manage to snap them in half.

  9. Would have to agree with you, Mr Jordi Tarres & Dougie Lampkin were far both the best back in there day, & also I liked Takumi Narita, even though he wasn't a world champ, & also the first ever world champion Martin Lampkin, Can't forget him! & in this day though it has to be Toni Bou, The guy just takes trials to such a different level.

  10. Order them through your local dealer, They should be able to get them directly from The Beta Factory, Not sure about the Jitsie ones though, When Applying them though use a heat gun & slightly warm the rim & the sticker up, That way they stick much better.

  11. I got the arrow and i am very impressed. WOW 45 idles jet and needle set at 5 position.

Hehe, I knew you would like it, I just remebered When I bought my Arrow exhaust through Lampkins, they set up all the carb properly as well, so Mine will be in the 5th position on the needle also.

Have to say when mine ticks over it just pops all the time, Sounds just the same as a TTT factory bike!
