  1. s3 tapes are 40 quid how much is a pair of wheels powder coating?

When I had mine done, They cost £150 for both I think, But the trials company who did them also stripped the wheels down completly as well & built them back up.

I've got a price list from triple s powder coating in Bingly, Says the price of what the wheels cost, But you would have to strip them yourself.

  2. If the pipe is blue, It will be running way to lean, The engine and exhaust will be getting to hot and It will be having to work to hard.

You need to richen it up

If it's a Keihin carb the air/mixture screw is near the bottom on the side & you turn it in to richen.

If it's a Dellorto (which it probably will be) I'd imagine the screw is the smaller one on the picture. Not sure if it's an air screw or mixture though.

  3. If you aren't buying one, What is the point in starting this topic?

I think personally the Jotagas will be an excellent & good quality machine, With Jordi Tarres developing it You wouldn't expect it to be rubbish. £5575 is a bit steep, More than say a Factory 300 Beta (which is one hell of a bike!), But not as much as a New 300 Raga Rep, The cost of 2T trials bikes are getting stupid.

This weekend in France will be a big challenge for the JTG Machine & will prove if it's up to the job or not, Lets hope Pol Tarres has a good ride on saturday night.

  4. Any body have any feed back on the showa shock offer by Banyeres for the Beta EVO ? They are suppose to be very good shock .

    Steven

    Hi,

I don't have one fitted myself, I have the Ohlins instead, But email Bosi offroad, As they have them fitted to the works TTT bikes, I'm sure they will tell you what they are like. As you say though Showa's are very good suspension, So I'd imagine they are pretty good.

  5. I have always used Galfers myself, Brilliant pads in my opinion, The compound of the pad is a little softer, Which makes the performance of the brakes fantastic, They have a great feel at the lever as well, Goldfren pads in my opinion are total rubbish, The compound of the pad is to hard, & they squeal like mad.

    Galfers everytime!

  6. My last Beta, 2010 290cc had exactly the same problem, It had a really bad gearbox. As you say, Mine suffered from the same problems such as.. It was really difficult to select through the gears, Especially when stood still, Lampkins had it in for a bit, Couldn't do anything with it, In the end it had to Be sent back to Beta Italy. The gearbox got worse though when it was hot rather than cold though. I thought myself that it was caused by the tolerences not be tight enough inside the gearbox.

  7. Get hold of it and give it a tweak , plus fit a button headed bolt to the head/ engine mount job done better than buying a new front pipe !!

Exactly what I did, Replaced original engine mount bolt with a countersunk one.

  8. Mine is just like the one in the top picture. Hopefully I can get my hands on a guard like that one. Great information, thanks again for all of your help!

You best bet is to give Michele at Bosi Offroad an email, You will find his email address on Bosi's website, Send him that picture and he will most probably be able to get you one.

  9. Many Thanks!

I guess my only concern now is whether this will work with my application. After looking online, it appears that there are two versions of this pipe, which are shaped slightly different from one another. I have my fingers crossed!

Which shape of pipe have you got? There is another protector available for the new pipe (Same as pictured below),I'd Imagine you will be able to get it from Bosi offroad.

The reason why there is a new pipe for the 2T's is that the older one rubs on the engine mounting bolt on the 2011-12 bikes, I have the older style pipe and was fine on the 2010 Beta, But I had to modify it to fit onto the 2011 bike.

Which one have you got out of the two?

  10. Check out the trials bike trying a real hill at 3:55 (right after the Star Ship Enterprise!)

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_sI05D8Mcy0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Definatly Rachau, & also this one Andler in Belgium have to be the toughest hillclimbs of them all.

It's those rocks to the top of the climb that make it very difficult, Maybe a trials bike going up it instead would have a much bigger advantage?

  11. Thanks for the reply was your dad's bike still in warranty when they changed the exhaust mine is out of warranty

    Cheers

I'm not 100 percent sure, But I think it was, Lampkins are great though, They will most probably send you an exhaust even if your bike is out of warrenty, Give them a call, They will help you in the best way they can.

  12. Is it an evo 4T? I have a rattle that seems to be a loose baffle on my 300 4T please reply with a fix if it is the baffle.

    Thanks

This has been known to happen. On my dad's 2010 300 4t, The bike has had two exhausts put on which both ended up with loose baffles. Lampkins sent a new one out, Which still ended up with the same problem, & they then sent another new one, & it has been ok since.

Give Lampkins a call, They will most likely sort you out with a new one.
