  1. So the old man of the trials championship does it convincingly, isn't it about time Gas gas woke up and gave him a tarres or colomer type job and showed Shaun morris the way in the WTC?

About time Sam Got a good result I am sure its due soon.

Chris curtis has done well considering we havn't heard from him for a while.

Why can james Lampkin keep winningsurely he shouldmove up what's left to prove?

Perhaps the best result of all, my favourite, the B class boy spanking the youths (and what would have been a nice 3rd. in the experts) the winslow boy Alexz Wigg. Great stuff.

  2. Unfourtunately it probably isn't fine at all. You need to dry and make sure everything after the filter intake is spotless, because that is the filters job.

  3. Sounds like the thing was not set up right in the first place there charlie.

A rule of thumb is that the perch should move just a litlle when forced by hand, i.e. under normal use it should stay where it is. As part of your overall prep and maintainence this should be checked over, tightened and realeased.

With the old twinshockers this seemed to need doing every week and old habits die hard as they say.

The principle here is one that it is better to have a lever ane master cylinder that will move in a crash than one which breaks.

    Handy andys tip No.666!

Anti seize is good too, of course, particularily on different metals.

  4. I don't know that much about Beta airboxes, but for that to do anything on a sherco water would have to be going through the filter. Even my basic mechanical knowledge tells me that is bad, very bad.

  5. Yeah, it sounds like a sky sports reporters comments " when the chips are down" or "when he's got something to prove" he always seems to do it, not at all sure why though.

Raga and Caby were a bit behind aswell, don't just beat them give them the cane!

Shaun Morris has made a good start though all credit to him, thought Sam Connor had the experience now to best him but 5 brits in the top 15 ain't bad. Bou is coming on strong and looking at Colomers' prodigy it looks like Spain has got the next world champ but not before Doug does EIGHT!

Pye got 2 threes all weekend, nice try son.

  6. Just a few obsevations on scores on day 1 in Bangor.

Adam Raga is without doubt a cut above the others indoor, precision skill and control but in the outdoor his score is 20% more, I can't get my head round that?

Doug had the most cleans 17 vs. 15 for fuji, expect this to tell today, he will win.

Why is grimbo twice the top boys scores? Is it because he has been training alot in Spain? Expect a much better result day 2.

Come on you other brits, Shaun Morris scores his first point although well behind his old rival Blazusiak, Sam Connor has at least not finished 15th or 16th, he needs a good score although I know he has an injured ankle. What is David Pye doing, one 3 all day, think its time to get behind the ropes and spectate!

The juniors, watch out for Laia Sainz, I think Tom Sagar should give up enduros and get practicing, getting beaten by a girl!

She's not far behind the top two either, well done her.

  7. it was driven by wanting a tubeless rim and now I have a modern bike I didn't want to swap lh/rh braking. The rods are best for drum brakes I think and the sherpa set up isn't the best anyway. The Classic Champs has no strict rules on these things and I think birkett has Yamaha forks and swinging arm and wheels but I've never looked that closely.

  8. Americans and Brits (Scots included in this group) found and developed most all of the oil in the world with some help from the Dutch, Norwegians, and French (logging tools by Schlumberger) so we can complain about gasoline prices all we want.  We should take the oil back from bleeding idiots we gave it too and let them drive about in donkey carts and ride on the backs of camels.

And such are the rantings of an ex- Petroleum Engineer

So those would be the people with civilisation thousands of years before Columbus sailed the sea?
