picked up my bully yesterday , When I got it home tried to start it but the kick feels a bit strange out if 10 kick`s the engine only turned over 3 times feel like the clutch slipping as I kick also noticed that the piston need s to be at TDC when it does turn over , could this be a woodruff key problem ,Also could I have done it by putting the bike in first gear with out pulling clutch in to load it to the side of the van also the bike has not been used for many years

Hi all I thought I join the club I just bought a 199A bultaco 350cc , Bit ruff round the edges (seat ripped ,paint flake,old tires) but I will give it a lick of fresh paint and and go thro it ,been after a 199A model for a while and this came up and bought it I really like the style of the 199A model so i going to see how about getting it road reg soon so i be looking for help on a few things soon will post pictures of my rebuild soon

this is my old bike , has foot rest mods and talon rear new rims and powder coat black ,dint get to ride it as I sold it to buy another bike

hi guys thanks for the ideas and reply's ,have been thinking of making a new ignition side casing for a while as they are getting rare now probably have go at making one out of solid billet of high grade aluminium when I get time , probably keep the bike STD ish as if I did want to sell it on some time it would still look and ride as STD but I do the exhaust back box modification to give it a bit more poke

thinking of buying a bultaco 199 model as I know for one for sale needs work thinking of tearing it down and steel liner the hubs modify the steering angle rear box mod and any thing else I can think of at the time as I am a engineer and have use of cnc machines and 3D CAD design software does anyone know what else can I do to make a special and stand out a bit more than a std bultaco been thinking of making a new side ignition case with a hydraulic clutch mod built into it can be done

he is a picture of my after market rear shock I bought this week for my ty mono does any body else have one as I not fitted yet and want to know how good they are

does any one know of where I can get a new rear shock for my ty as I need a heavy spring fitted ,

Hi Jon mods so far are short inlet (cut off 10mm and re welded back on )with fiber reeds ,gasgas front end and bottom yoke made on the cnc machine in work ,foot rest mods welded down and back a inch , may put another carb on to make it run better and lighten the fly wheel (cut the otter ring off ) and looking for a Talon rear wheel or may put a rear end from a TYZ 250 and have a disc brake and tubeless wheel what mods would you suggest

QUESTION FOR JSE I see in one of the pictures you have uploaded on this subject , And notice the rear shock on your bike is this a standard rear shock or have you fitted another shock from another bike thanks

has any one trial a gasgas randonne as i am thinking of getting one i have ty pinky now and thinkin of selling to buy one so i can use for light off road and maybe a odd B trial,has anyone had any issues with these bike i should know about

thinking of getting a new Gas Gas randonne 2013 model ,has any one done a trial on these bikes cant find much personal info on how the bike is in action and will the bike take a 17stone rider any info would be greatful

well got to say i been to a few british championship in wales and a few times i have seen shirty going thro the section before his rider goes thro or walking thro with is rider and they minder , but never seen him alter a section just given his advise on witch line to take maybe ACU should say only riders and minders to enter a section (no team management )

phoned talon up today to ask if they had rims there for the the pinky , when i spoke to the guy i asked do they still stock the talon rear wheel for the TYs had said he will have a look and ring me back .. Ten mins later phone me back to say that i can have the last one they have in the display cabinet as they will not be making any more ,, ,Lucky for me i am a engineer and have use of a c.n.c mill and lathe so may have a go on making some spare hubs so i can do away with the Z spoke wheels

hi tim have you had chance to take some pics of the talon wheels, looks like a will need wheels for my pinky as i took the tyres of today and the rims are rotten

i bought a pinky few weeks ago fro £600.00 and is in very good con ,did see a ty on the E bay and went for around £300.00 ,few days ago for me to pay £750.00 for a bike that age it would have to be rebuild and road reg and lookin very good
