    hi thanks for the reply i think i drop them 1 inch and move them forward a inch and make new top yoke on the C.N.C machine in work with the handle bar clamps moved forward a 1 inch

    just in the middle of full rebuild and has anyone got advice on foot rest mods been reading a few articles on the web and most say back an inch and down a inch anybody done this mod to they bike any advice would be grateful before a start cutting the rest mounts off

    BEEN SPEAKING TO FEW PEOPLE ABOUT THE FORKS ON A TLR,. AND SOME ARE SAYING CHANGE THE FORKS AND FRONT WHEEL TO MODERN ONES SO CAN ANY BODY GIVE ME ADVICE ON THIS. BEFORE I SELL THEM AND BUY MODERN ONES AS WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT DOES SEEM THE WAY TO GO ..
  5. no chance mate only YAMAHA uk can give you a dating letter ,i had to buy one last year ring them up give them your frame and engine number for them to search your bike and they will call you back in about a week and they will ask for payment over the phone before they will send you a letter, other than that its a Q plate
  6. hi mate i done mine few weeks ago and i measured 110 mm, so wind of the one you want to keep and wind down the old spring until it measures 110 mm hope this helps

    i have a 2010 beta 290 evo that i have had for about a month and when i ride the bike it sound like the engine is pinkin a bit what grade petrol are you to use. as i use standard unleaded or would i need to use super unleaded as i have read before on the sherco topics that it does make a difference to the pinkin also does any body know what grage of gear box oil i should use

    thanks for your reply MR SAVAGE i spoke to lampkins and said the red spring was fitted to dougie`s bike when he had a 2010 evo so will fit it next few day`s and see how we go did you adjust the front fork s at all to set up with the rear thanks

    just bought a new rear shock spring from beta uk , but after ordering it i was thinking would it be ok to use as the guy said it 10% more stiffer than standard as i am 16.5 stone .looked on sxs and they got some for 20% more was thinking of sending it back and buy one of them,but would it be to stiff then and will not get full rebound so dont know what to do now

    is there such thing as a ty mono works bike , i just bought a ty mono running need s a small amount of work to sort it out or spares for my pinky ,and on closer inspection i noticed that the bike has grease nipples on the swing arm bolt the one goes thro the frame and on the rear brake pedal and on the head stock also has a AIR SHOCK on the rear that look like it was made to fit this bike and not butchered to fit and is the same length as my pinky shock , so was wondering if yam made a works bike with these mods

  16. contact bultaco uk today they said it was a 1980 bultaco 350 t number was JM 199 ******A did not have and exhaust in stock so will look on the web found a mikuni carb there are few about for under
  17. just drove 450 mile round trip to pick up my bultaco sherpa i bought from the bay not sure what year it is starts with JB 199 also need a carb and exhaust had a look on the bay nothing about any body know where to get second parts from

  21. i am in the middle of puttin new mains and seals on my pinky the top end had a rebore and piston in jan only been out a hand full of times so just neeed to put new gaskets on, just sprayed the frame up as the engine was out to freshin up the bike but it will be up for sale next week as i want to buy a new car the bike has to go its a 1991 pinky with 4 pot galfer front brake very good con with a tank cover has any one have an idea what its worth before i put a add out for its sale
  22. Has anyone have any idea on the best size sprocket for a ty pinky as i need a new one and dont know what the best one to buy as the one on there seam s a bit big and thinking to go down a few teeth so if any one can help out i would be most greatfull

  24. i am just in the middle of doing my mid box i used a 1mm cutting disc in my angle grinder cut the back side of the mid box.tok out the the black oily packing repacked the box and cut out a new bit of sheet steel to cover the bit i have cut out and then i used a TIG welder and welded the cover back on.you could use a MIG welder but try to keep away from a ARC welder as its a bit fearce and will burn thro the thin sheet metal and burn the packing a bit. as you say you were taking to birckett motorsports about a knock and they said it may be a blocked mid box i would not have said that was the problem as when you open the mid box there is only a tube with 2mm hole around it going thro and the backing i took out of my box was very thick and had gone hard thro the years of use and none of that would clogg the box up as it s to thick to get thro the holes and if some very very small parts got in to the mid box they would have been blown thro and would have come out the end of the silencer hope this helps
  25. motomerlin i once had a gasgas 1995 model jt 350 i think you engine is about the same as my engine was anyway i was told that a bultaco 325 cc over size pistons will fit the bore as they are marle pistons
