I can't help but agree with Bob on this ,I know how much work goes into a trials series.Ed and his wife spent a great deal of their time and money on that series . I spent almost 10 years helping Bob and crew with AHRMA trials until giving up on AHRMA. It got so tiring to hear the whining and moaning about sections we set up by those that could have been there to help but weren't, so called experts that should have ridden the intermediate lines etc. I think what we have now will help advance the sport of trials , and I sure look forward to other ares of the country coming on board WELCOME !!!!!!!

Thanks all , I guess that wasn't something I dreamed up after too much whiskey at the campfire. I had the last Wassell Bantam produced , how it got to the US I don't know , nobody over here had a clue what it was other than they thought it was a Penton that we put an odd motor in Cheers

Alan , good luck, people have been trying for over 15 years to fix AHRMA trials , I gave up after 10 .

I've been using a PVL sytem on my Bantam for about 4 years and it works great , even when jetting the carb I couldn't fowl the plug ,and it was so rich at one point oil was running out of the exhaust . This system was adapted by Rex Caunt , Cheers Bruce

Very nicely done! I had one of the Bantam powered Wassells that we restored,it was too nice for me to ride [ those that have seen me ride will attest to that ] so instead of keeping it locked away in the shed it's now at the Barber museum in Birhmingham ALA> I hope they get their off road exhibit set up so others can see it . There were 50 of the Bantam powered Wassells built , I had the last one built here in the US . It was never ridden ,still had original tires and all the sheet metal . We restored it and it's now owned by the Barber museum in Alabama , Cheers

This is going to be a great event , the best terrain for trials with 50 sections laid out by a very experienced crew . Camping and a Saturday night camp fire with plenty of pickin and grinnin . This is trials as it's best , good folks and good fun , Cheers

My D14 still has the original rotary clutch actuator that is about worn out , with an 8 spring 4 plate clutch it's starting to be an issue .I've seen some custom built lever type , but no good pictures , I'm open for any ideas . This is about the last area that needs to be improved then I can't blame the bike for all those points cheers , Bruce

Charley , if this helps , we ride very tight technical stuff here , I use a 12 tooth crankshaft , 12 tooth countershaft and 66 tooth rear ,1st gear in most sections, went to an 8 spring clutch to eliminate slipping , cheers BC

You'll be pleased with Rex's ignition set up , I've been using one on a D14 for years and never had a bit of trouble .If it's possible to use a more modern front forks we turn bearng cups to press into the frame to use tapered bearings , it's a lot of work but worth it , but our rules are a little more lenient on choice of forks . Charlie , I'm using a Sammy Miller swing arm on my D14 with the stock sub frame . Don't know about the C15 for sure but if a Cub swing arm fits possibly the C15 also Cheers , Bruce

Alan , I've ridden a 125 ridged Maverick on just about evey kind of loop imaginable including at TTC in a modern event , I've been up and down the road in question at Barber I helped set up the first event at that location , at Mid Ohio one year I helped a 10 year old girl around the loop on a TY80 and I'm no expert rider . MY point is I've never seen a loop that could not be ridden safely by a novice rider . SO LETS GET OVER THIS OK ?

Just one question , what possible value could it be to a begginer or novice to ride the same line that is supposed to be a challenge to a expert rider . That looks like the best way I know to discourage a rider at the very least . If the idea is to make the expert line easy enough for a novice rider then you don't do service to the expert class riders. cheers , Bruce

The greatest chase scene has to be Bullitt , on tv it comes on at about 1 hour into the movie , turn up the volume !!!

Thanks , most of my parts come from the UK with the help of the Royal post and a few friends . It's much cheaper and quicker to send bits to the US than from here thanks to our wonderfully capable postal service . We also some cubs , greeves , etc in our little group , we also have a reproduction of Mick Andrew's James that He's come over and ridden a few times . I just sold the only known(in the US) restored Bantam Wassell to the Barber museum , it was the last one built serial # 60 Cheers , Bruce

Been riding trials for about 9 years now and having a grand time . The last 4 or so on a D14 Bantam , I love old British bikes going back to a 69 Triumph that I rode all over the eastern US . The Bantam has been a long term project , with the help of my friend Bob at B&J racing and friends in England I think it has turned out well . Also been working to help promote our twinshock organization ITSA that is growing into a fine bunch of people that truly enjoy trials . Cheers , Bruce
