  1. Sorry about the suggestions.
  2. Go to rypusa.com, then, pull down online shopping. On the left, select "other sruff". Hope that is helpful.
  3. You can check out Ryans DVD direct at RYPUSA.COM
  4. I would try to sign up with a trials training school. Available at many clubs. In the U.S.I found it most helpful my first year, I intend to join in another in April. Cheers

At this point? Ya got me out of ideas.

B40RT had a good question. Has there been a loss of coolant? That would be a good indicator that it wound up in the gearbox, if so. The other thing that bothers me is, you mentioned the gear oil level was low. Has that gone into the coolant system? Is the coolant a muddy brown liquid now? This could open a whole new can of worms.

Some of those questions are above my pay grade as, i bought mine new and haven't had to do those type of repairs yet. The diagnosis came from 50 years experience. Sorry i could not help you further.

Even old oil will not turn white.

A milky white fluid generally is condensation of some kind. It could be two things: one, if coolant is leaking into the gear oil and, two, if the transmission vent is blocked, moisture will be drawn in when the bike cools.
  10. I bought a new Sherco 1 year ago, an access, it came with the vhst carb, although the owners manual only refers to the phbl. I was under the impression that if Cabby uses one, this must be the better carburetor. However, much of the reading i have done suggests the phbl can be well tuned, and may be better for a novice rider. My friends bike came with a 26 mm phbl, mine has the 28 mm vhst. We both have the 250cc models. Any comments or experience with this?
  11. A 125 sherco would be great.

  14. Barcelona indoor trials time tomorrow, 2/6, is advertised at 18:05 CET. What does that translate to in GMT time, and in the U.K, and U.S. thanks
  15. Are you kidding? Julie & Ann? Those were just talking points.
  16. Our British forefathers knew the dangers of big goverment. We (U.S.) are seeing now the arrogance of a big Government, hell bent on bringing it's economy and society to its knees, while espousing socialism and global warming in a compasionate way. We've lost our friends in Turkey, Lebanon, and now what appears to be Egypt, to Muslim Extremists. Our own people are freezing in hospitals, and are relying on natural gas purchases from MEXICO!, All because our president has banned off shore drilling, and natural gas exploration in the name of saving the planet, while China and India are starting up new coal fired power plants on the average, every three weeks. We have not had a new nuclear plant go online in over 25 years. God Bless America, for it is not likely ever to be the same dominant, thriving country that our brethren forefathers set it out to be in the Constitution of the United States.
  17. Thanks Ben, I've been looking forward to that. I am glad you mentioned the time, 5pm U.K., I think that translates to 11:00 am in Boston.
  18. A family that trials together, stays together. Welcome, and best of luck. Hubby should be proud.
  19. I would suggest a bike no larger than 250cc, maybe less. As most, if not all trisls bikes are extremely competitive, there is not a dimes, [
  20. I am the definition of a beginner. Having rode one event in the hottest part of summer, after 3 sections (out of 32) I was down right pooped. I will stick to observing and checking until I improve.
  21. Stevie, Ben, I have a 2010 Sherco 250 that is just as snappy. Ive geared it differently, ive jetted it main and pilot, and im considering other adjustments. Namely, the three base gaskets, and or retarding the timing. Ive already got the slow throttle. Here is the web site to get expert instruction and pictures to guide you through these modifications. www.sherco.com/wayne_corner.html good luck. Please let me know how to put up those one touch blue web sites. Anyone?
  22. Trust me Copey, im not like the others.
  23. Thanks Tony, ......... Mother nature is dealing us a nor' easter at the moment, probably a foot of snow or more. Just the wind is shaking the whole house. This could delay progress and results a few days. I'll keep you posted. rr
