  1. This is the brake plate on my seeley, it might give you a bit more idea as to what your looking for.
  2. Edited after feedback from johnw: One production run had white mudguards - see Pages 218 & 219 of "Colin Seeley...and the rest". It appears from the photos in this book that the front mudguard did not have an integral mud flap (neither did the VF mudguards). If you trim off the mudflap of a Gonelli guard and reverse it (so that what is then the front is more pointed) I believe you have something close to the original. I have no idea who the manufacturer of the white mudguards was/is. Another production run batch had Black "VF" mudguards. Incidentally, on Page 218 there are pictures of the Works RTL 240 which looks an absolute beast; seemingly a Seeley TL200E with what looks like the barrel and head of a 500!
  3. The original guards would have been black made by VF (Vacuum Formers) Hard to find now but copies have been made over the years. Somtimes pop up on ebay. I always thought they looked better with white! My Seeley has 14 inch rear shocks, not sure if that is correct but work fine. Yours looks ok in the pic's. Your exhaust header looks more like TLR than Seeley. Great little bikes.
  4. Hi I have a seeley 200 Have rebuilt the motor re ore etc all easy Phone me on 01229860292 and will talk you through it Yours Andrew Ps don't E mail me
  5. Here is the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Seeley-TL200E-Trials-/291193357663?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item43cc7a055f
  6. why do you want to change timing? If it is the same as TLR there is no adjustment. it is pre set. TLTEL Sorry I was thinking Reflex. Not sure about the Seeley.
  7. So the bike looks when it comes out of the factory.... [/url] The engine ist the same as on the RS200T and the seeley, I heard only 300 will be build by RSC, anyone here knows more ?

    Honda Seeley Tl200

hi men would anyone know what kick start fits the seeley also the best way to strengthen the head stock as it has a crack in the box section also what is the colour code for honda red on this bike thanks
  9. Hello macdee, Welcome to the Seeley owners club Honda part number for the swinging arm bushes 52147-028-300 its not easy getting the old ones out you may need to series drill out the rubber to release the inner bush and then use a hacksaw blade to cut through the outer casing to release the tension this will allow you to pull it out easily. Most engineering shops can produce a spindle in stainless with an 8mm internal thread to allow you retain it in place. ps I have posted a link to e bay on the other Seeley threads re an exhaust.

    Honda Seeley Tl200

Bushes and spindle may need to be made up, if you can get dimensions it shouldn't be expensive, Mud guards crop up on ebay but you may as well use pattern parts again on ebay, exhausts are not available, but Wes can be adapted, there is someone making a pipe for Seeley yet again they sometimes list on ebay,. If you struggle with the spindle and bushes and get dimensions pm me I may be able to point you to someone to sort them.

    Seeley Exhausts

Hello Dalfetta, I have put a link to one on e bay on the other Seeley Honda Exhaust Thread eBay item number: 301068175324 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Seeley-Silencer-/301068175324?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item46190fc7dc Not long left Regards
  12. Hello dalfetta, Thought this might be of interest on e bay eBay item number: 301068175324 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Seeley-Silencer-/301068175324?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:3160 Regards
  13. Hello, I saw " The twinshock shop" sells a RS exhaust that apparently fits a Seeley... I find that it looks pretty good, but not sure it's the good one for my bike ... Is does anyone have already fits this exhaust on his Seeley ?? Here is the link...this is tha Wako rs tailpipes http://www.thetwinshockshop.co.uk/parts.php Thanks
  14. i believe that John at the Twinshockshop in Devon can also confirm the ratios used in the Seeley
  15. Hello zisko62, Thanks for the picture of the exhaust not a lot of Seeley Owners will have seen one, that is the most original looking Seeley I have seen since 1981. Their are some very good examples of machines that have been minted, but I still love the way bike looked when it first rolled out of Colin Seeleys work shops.
  16. The Seeley exhaust is not stainless, just chrome plated, and rusted through after time, just put a magnet on it!

    Honda Trials Forks

I have seen quite a few Seeley forks for sale as people have upgraded them and I would think that the hubs or complete wheels are not too hard to find, but TL250 brake plates don't become available that often, or do you already have one/ TLTEL
  18. Hello I have a Honda TL the motor is stamped TL125 E but i believe the engine is a 220 as its stamped that at the base of the cylinder. my question is what gearing should I use, the recommended TL 125 set up which I think is 11 front 58 rear or go for the tlr 200 set .(cant remember off hand that set up) I dont want to spend £60.00 on the wrong sprockets if some one has the ideal combination I think i will use the 428 chain. I dont want to start stripping the gear box to count teeth either. I also require a silencer and like the look of the seeley type are they still available the stainless ones that used to be on Ebay, A Sammy Miller type will take too much work to fit as the frame has very little room between shock and tyre Many Thanks John.
  19. Hello Andy I had one of these Hondas a few years ago I will try a look out some photos and get the good lady to post them. from memory it handle very well Im sure the steering head angle had been steepened and the swinging arm shortened. I do remember that the tank had been cut in half and a strip removed to narrow it down then welded and filled with copious amounts of body filler. The carb manifold was made from what looked like steel water pipe or conduit pipe as you could still see the thread on it, and brazed to achieve the correct kick out to clear the bottom of the tank as the motor had been lifted not sure by how much though, it also had a large rear sprocket as it was a little over geared but it was brilliant to ride across the open fell and I never struggled through any bogs The mudguards were the black plastic VF type and a little brittle If memory serves. I think my Jeffries went to that collector in France, hope this helps and if any Honda nuts read this Im building a 220 fraser and Im looking for the Seeley type stainless silencer if any one can let me have a contact number I would appreciate very much , regards John.
  20. The tlr header pipe has a much tighter bend than the Seeley.
  21. Hi RS 200 legs are 33mm, you could use reflex legs, but no real advantage in performance, only the shorter length, To use TLR 35mm ,you will need the yokes as well, which is an advantage,as it pulls the forks in, if you have a standard frame, you will need to change the steering pin in the yokes, some of the aftermarket frames had a larger headstock for TLR yokes. Note The above only applies to the Honda made RS200/250, NOT the Seeley 200
  22. Not sure of the data precisely, however after researching my Keihin Seeley carb (same model number)I am led to believe it might be from an earlier TL 125 ('D' or 'S'). Parts for these are readily available so you should be able to get the gasket you require. I bought two jets recently that certainly fit as I am having a difficult time with my Seeley as I try and make the bike run smoothly. It seems to be very lumpy and I've relaced a 1.10 main jet with a .92 and .38 pilot jet yet the bike is still very eratic. Any feedback on what jets are in yours would help.
  23. I am renovating a Seeley TL200E and need to source a carburetor float chamber gasket. The carb is a Keihin marked F4 04C. Anyone any experience or suggestions on this or even replacement carb please. Main Honda dealers claimed to have a fiche but the gasket set was wrong, as were the fork seals (now sorted).

    RS200T

Hi There, I have recently seen a Honda Rs200T for sale in Japan. It has a frame prefix RS200TF and an engine number RS200T. Is this correct for a Rs200T? I have a parts manual - and that does not show a frame number RS200TF - and has the engine number listed as RS200TE. Can anyone confirm what the prefixes should read? Is RS200TF right? and were all RS200 engines prefixed RS200TE?? I have also read a recent article that says that the TE stands for Trials England and implies it was only used for Seeley engines? Any help would be truly appreciated. Thanks
  25. The Seeley tank cover will not fit a standard TL frame, The Jim Susans frame is narrower under the seat,I recently aquired a Susans frame+tank so was able to compare
